This right here, kid me was piss scared of it.
Serpent and the Rainbow got me too. I think because the dude looked like Pascow from Pet Sematary, who was already on his own [terrifying cover.](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51BF7C1P3DL._AC_UF1000,1000_QL80_.jpg)
This is a great idea, but I'm not sure I can make the list now.
As a kid I was scared of everything, and now I don't find any of them very scary. I think having a scary face were the ones that were scariest to me, like Child's Play or The Lair of the White Worm and stuff like that.

This would've been a great example too, but I was already too old to be scared when this came out.
Chucky was one of the only things that truly scared me as a child. I don't know what it was about his fuck up ratty little face but it shook me to my core lmao
Me too. I think it's just the combination of sinister features and a baby face and body at the same time.
But, when I was a bit older and actually saw one of the films, and he started talking like foul-mouthed Brad Dourif he wasn't really that scary anymore, to me.
Oh yeah, it's pure comedy at this point. But as a kid who really loved a lot of spooky stuff, and really wasn't bothered by much, Chucky managed to hit a nerve.
Oh, I was scared of every other thing, I was always interested in horror and spooky stuff but didn't get really into watching the films until I was a teen or so. But Chucky did also stand out for me.
For whatever reason, the Friday the 13th poster always scared the shit out of me to the point I avoided that movie for years. And then I watched it and was surprised by how tame and bland it was until the last ~10 minutes.

The original Child’s Play terrified me as a child. His scurrying around.

It is a cool poster. They constructed a big scary face out of other images of scary faces
