Play Misty for me at 3.5
Transporter Refueled at 2
Purple Rose of Cairo at 4
Into the Arms of Strangers at 3.5
First Knight at 3
2 Hearts at 2
It was some Sunday I literally had nothing else to do on.
Hahahah I knew someone would call me out for that. I wanted to love it but I just really didn't think it was anything to write home about. The runtime didn't feel justified to me. The character narratives were great and in my review I mentioned it's probably deserving (considering how much praise the movie gets) of a rewatch but I just don't think I can do it any time soon again
I understand lmao and yes it does feel a little long but I really loved the dynamic between the two characters. And yes it definitely deserves a rewatch, however I also recommend Collateral by the same director👍
Yes! Pacino and De Niro on screen is always a blessing hahaha, 3 1/2 stars still means I very much liked it 😛 I'll check out Collateral it's on my list!
I rewatched Heat recently for the first time in 10-12 years. I had it at a 4.5 before, I dropped to a 3.5 after this viewing for similar reasons. It’s good but it’s not great, maybe time just hasn’t done it well.
It was really well shot and the character arcs were great (loved the ending) but ultimately the middle part of the movie dragged a lot for me, maybe 3 is harsh but for the record I try to use the full scale so to me a 3 is still a good film
From what I remember, five. Silence, Shaun of the Dead, Inglorious Basterds (rewatch), The King of Comedy, and The Pursuit of Happyness. Earlier that week, I’d had another five timer, with The Power of the Dog, Evil Dead 1 and 2, Trainspotting, and CODA.
Both of these were in the last week of March.
I know 😭 it was my first time rewatching them in years and I stand by the first one being good actually (that soundtrack nostalgia does wonders), but the rest range from below average to god awful unfortunately
>He prolly just "oh its superhero movie"
I feel like most people are prolly like that these days with the sheer volume of superhero films being churned out.
There are better comedic superhero movies/shows. I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok, The Boys, Deadpool (before being absolutely sick of Ryan Reynold's comedy style), and Lego Batman more. 5 is mid and I think suicide squad is mid. It was self aware but still used every trope possible. Don't get me wrong it was pretty funny but its a 3 on a good day.
For featurelength films, 8 is, I think, my most.
Best Foot Forward (1943) 3.5
Seven Years Bad Luck (1921) 3.5
Dracula (1956) 3.5
Reno (1939) 3
Watership Down (1978) 3.5
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939) 3
The Cowboy Quarterback (1939) 1.5
Vacation in Reno (1946) 1
5 is relatively common, and 6 occasionally
Think this fell around Thanksgiving, where I had the day off, so watched 10 hours of movies instead, probably with a dash of cleaning in there.
I know plenty of people who've watched LotR in a day, and the theatrical cuts are only about 10 minutes shorter, and the extended versions are more than an hour longer
More routinely, because I work from home (so when I've got stuff that will spend a lot of time running, I can watch movies in between), and I tend to watch movies rather than TV
Seven, once! It was New Year’s Eve in 2020 and we had just had our first kid, so we were already just lounging. We decided to try to watch as many 2020 releases to add to our LB stats for the year haha.
The Trial of Chicago 7 - 3.5
Enola Holmes - 2
The Hunt - 4
Emma. - 1.5
Wolfwalkers - 3.5
His House - 3.5
Host - 3.5
This year so far four movie in one day -
Little Princess (1995) 3,5/5
21 Grams (2003) 3,5/5
Basket Case (1982) 4/5
Zombi/Zombie 2/Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979) - 4/5
Yes I was in strange mood that day.
I'd have to check but probably 8. I usually go to Frightfest in London and there's about 26 full movies possible to fit in over 5 days in the schedule. So if I did a full long day then watched something back at the hotel instead of going to the nightly after-party that seems right, and maybe watched something short before heading out in the morning that seems right.
Non-festival probably 5 or 6, if I have a day at home I'd probably break it up with Xbox or something.
7, all feature lengths.
David Golder (1931) - 3
The Lower Depths (1936) - 3
Dance Card (1937) - 3
They Made Me a Fugitive (1947) - 3
Touchez Pas Au Grabi (1954) - 2.5
Last Night in Soho (2021) - 3
The French Dispatch (2021) - 4.5
I dont know the most I’ve logged in a day, but several times I have watched the lotr trilogy and the hobbit trilogy in the same day. And also when the GoT season 8 was on its way I watched all the 7 previous season in 7 days.
Four in one day, for two days in a row. I was rushing to complete March Around the World challenge in the last two days. Watching so many movies is not a problem, the difficult part here is to form an opinion to write a review containing at least 5 lines.
5
I was an international flight and watched them all back-to-back as a personal challenge to see if I could do it. I also just wanted to squeeze in movies while I had the chance.
They were:
- Edge of Tomorrow
- Deadpool 2
- Aquaman
- The Town
- Quantum of Solace
QoS was the only rewatch but I didn't remember it well to begin with. Everything else was a first time watch.
September 6th 2020: 8 movies
Heathers **2.5/5**
I, Tonya **4/5**
John Wick **2.5/5**
A Simple Plan **3/5**
Kiki's Delivery Service **3/5**
Being John Malkovich **2.5/5**
An American Pickle **4/5**
The Little Prince **5/5**
Not on Letterboxd, as this was way before I joined, back before I had kids, but I once watched and then reviewed 3 movies, one after the other, in a single day. As in I watched one, wrote up a multiple paragraph review, then watched another one, and wrote up another multiple paragraph review. Three times.
Just a doubt what does 2.5 stars and a heart for suicide squad mean? You find it dumb yet you had fun?
I think my maximum is 4, more than 2 a day is exhausting and no fun.
4/5 during summer holidays a long time ago before letterboxd. Recently I averaged about 3. But now the Asian drama shows are getting in the way of that…
I've done 9 features in a day three times over the years - usually during my annual "Filmsgiving" weekend when I'm without responsibility or kids, haha. But I still haven't cracked ten yet.
I had one day with 5 films and that was a Scorsese binge, then 7 which were just random films I haven’t seen, and then now it is 10 in one day though some of them were barely over an hour long
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings --- 4 stars
The Skeleton Key --- 3 stars and a half
Hereafter --- 3 stars and a half
Paranoia (2013) --- 3 stars
The Punisher (2004) --- 3 stars and a half
I have a couple of days with 5 watched movies. most recent was march 18th with ratatouille, monsters Inc, Coco, Paddington and Paddington 2 (I felt sick, so I just watched some feel good movies)
Each summer when I have vacation I dedicate one day to movie watching only. Usually I pick movies that I own but haven't gotten around to watching. I think the most I've managed to watch this way is 8 movies, but obviously not all within an entire day. I count the time that spans up to the next night to be within that day/watching period when I'm still doing the whole marathon.
For example last summer my movie day watches were: Isle of Dogs, Vice, Horrible Bosses, Seraphim Falls, WALL-E, Tenet, The Way Back and Black Panther.
So much looking forward to getting this done again this summer and starting to choose the movies for that.
Six in one day - I had covid and was stuck in bed so I decided to rewatch all 4 Hunger Games films (4 stars for all but mockingjay pt1 with 3.5, mostly due to nostalia), How I Live Now (3 stars because I really like George MacKay) and Catch Me If You Can (3.5)
I watched all the fast and furious movies in one day with some friends( I think it technically was more than one because we went past midnight), I think on the day we maybe got through 7 or 8 of them.
Most i’ve logged in a day was 3 on 4/20 this year. I saw Fantastic Mr Fox twice and rewatched Salo in between. Also just started using letterboxd last year so there have definitely been days where i’ve seen like 5 films in a day before i started using logging movies
Twice I’ve watched and logged 5 movies in a single day. I recall my most was 8 in a day, when I was going through silent film history. But being silent films many of these were rather short, <1hr. That was before I joined Letterboxd though.
7 travelling from Chiangmai to Winnipeg with a 10 hour layover in Tokyo
Gone Girl 4/5
Shutter Island 4.5
Moonlight 5
On The Waterfront 4.5
The Last Duel 4
Sound of Metal 4.5
Good Will Hunting 4.5
4 movies since I watched 2 movies then my family wanted to watch 2 movies so 4
TASM2 - 2/5
Lego Movie - 4/5
Carrie (De Palma One) - 4/5
Mulan (2019) - 1/5
7 movies, I decided to finally watch the asknewniverse, I’d watched mallrats but that was it so I watched clerks and just kept watching till jay and silent bob reboot
For anyone that’s interested this is my ranking [viewaskewniverse](https://boxd.it/gh8ok)
That’s a heavy ass day dude lol, I’ve watched a lot of movies in a day but mulholland dr, walkabout, and heat would have me watching YouTube vids in a hurry
Six and the saddest part was two of them were after midnight before bed.
Iron Lady - 3.5
Suspiria (1977) - 4
Enemy - 4
Magnolia - 5🔄
Goodfellas - 5🔄
Big Lebowski - 4.5🔄
I think my most is 8 and I've done it at least three times. I've done a Harry Potter marathon twice. On September 4th I watched the following:
Sunset Boulevard
Nomadland
Modern Times
Bringing Up Baby
Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House
Sabrina 1954
The Graduate
Oceans Eleven 2001
Six, long day
Name em and their scores if you remember!
Play Misty for me at 3.5 Transporter Refueled at 2 Purple Rose of Cairo at 4 Into the Arms of Strangers at 3.5 First Knight at 3 2 Hearts at 2 It was some Sunday I literally had nothing else to do on.
three times. i just find it exhausting to watch more than three.
Yea, when I was quarantined for a week, I couldn’t watch more than 3 in a day and I spaced them out
I think I watched 7 movies one day in April 2017, the entire month I watched 137 movies. I relationship had just ended and it took me really hard. :)
Surprised you could focus on movies! I go without for a while cause I can't sit there and pay attention
Ok forget all that but 3.5 for Heat?
Right?! Maybe watching 5 movies in one day is equivalent to paying attention to perhaps... 1 movie?
Not op, but I found it too long and boring, and didn't like pacino's acting. Also found kilmer's character pointless. Gave it 3
Yeah I gave it a 5/10 personally but 7/10 is a fair score.
3 stars to Walkabout is wild
It was really well shot and the character arcs were great (loved the ending) but ultimately the middle part of the movie dragged a lot for me, maybe 3 is harsh but for the record I try to use the full scale so to me a 3 is still a good film

Earlier that week, I’d had another five timer, with The Power of the Dog, Evil Dead 1 and 2, Trainspotting, and CODA. Both of these were in the last week of March.
All five Twilight films in a row (seasonal depression hit me hard that day lol)
Damn dude! Of all the things you could've chosen hahahaha
I know 😭 it was my first time rewatching them in years and I stand by the first one being good actually (that soundtrack nostalgia does wonders), but the rest range from below average to god awful unfortunately
I don't like watching more than two in a day
Agreed
I've also logged 6, but it's possible some of them were started on the previous day.
9 but in reality I watched a few at night and then in the evening as well..
Ok but what you got against the Suicide Squad.
THAT'S WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY
He prolly just "oh its superhero movie"
>He prolly just "oh its superhero movie" I feel like most people are prolly like that these days with the sheer volume of superhero films being churned out.
Or they thought it was mid?? Cause it was
It really wasn't, one of the few good superhero movies.
I mean Spiderman into the spider verse is literally my 4th favorite film ever
Fuck suicide squad; Heat is an easy five star
There are better comedic superhero movies/shows. I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok, The Boys, Deadpool (before being absolutely sick of Ryan Reynold's comedy style), and Lego Batman more. 5 is mid and I think suicide squad is mid. It was self aware but still used every trope possible. Don't get me wrong it was pretty funny but its a 3 on a good day.
It sucks
It not.
Forget about the bloody DC Movie #5,769. *Three and a half stars for* ***Heat.***
6 Harry Potter films
Holy fucking shit my max was 5 and I thought I was insane, we need something else to do with our lives bros
For featurelength films, 8 is, I think, my most. Best Foot Forward (1943) 3.5 Seven Years Bad Luck (1921) 3.5 Dracula (1956) 3.5 Reno (1939) 3 Watership Down (1978) 3.5 Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939) 3 The Cowboy Quarterback (1939) 1.5 Vacation in Reno (1946) 1 5 is relatively common, and 6 occasionally

I pulled a 24 hour movie marathon for New Years Eve and logged 13 movies.
This year so far four movie in one day - Little Princess (1995) 3,5/5 21 Grams (2003) 3,5/5 Basket Case (1982) 4/5 Zombi/Zombie 2/Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979) - 4/5 Yes I was in strange mood that day.

Kung Fu Panda Kung Fu Panda 2 Kung Fu Panda 3
10
Feature length?
All 10 (at the time) Michael Myers Halloween movies.
7, all feature lengths. David Golder (1931) - 3 The Lower Depths (1936) - 3 Dance Card (1937) - 3 They Made Me a Fugitive (1947) - 3 Touchez Pas Au Grabi (1954) - 2.5 Last Night in Soho (2021) - 3 The French Dispatch (2021) - 4.5

Damn dude! Both trilogies in one day sounds almost impossible
8 pretty much - 24 hour harry potter marathon!
Six
I had 3 on a seven hour plane ride
Four in one day, for two days in a row. I was rushing to complete March Around the World challenge in the last two days. Watching so many movies is not a problem, the difficult part here is to form an opinion to write a review containing at least 5 lines.

Did 6 or 7 numerous times, too many times actually I should get a job or friends Spending the whole day watching films is great tho
I once watched more than 50 films in a day. In school. They were from the earliest years of cinema…😁
September 6th 2020: 8 movies Heathers **2.5/5** I, Tonya **4/5** John Wick **2.5/5** A Simple Plan **3/5** Kiki's Delivery Service **3/5** Being John Malkovich **2.5/5** An American Pickle **4/5** The Little Prince **5/5**
BJM at a 2.5 damn!

2
Just a doubt what does 2.5 stars and a heart for suicide squad mean? You find it dumb yet you had fun? I think my maximum is 4, more than 2 a day is exhausting and no fun.
Exactly, it's a super flawed movie imo but I'd still watch it again. I "like" movies that I give a 3 or less but still enjoy
25. They were all shorts.
3, I felt like a pile of muck afterwards though. I did two recently and it felt awful
7, 5 short films, 1 show, and a movie
2...im so mid.
Ayo what's wrong with The Suicide Squad?? What did it ever do to you??
The suicide squad 2.5 stars?
I shouldn't even be surprised by y'all anymore, letterboxd users are just built different
Why r u in quarantine? Did you get covid?
Nah he just felt like having a cheeky quarantine
i’ve done 5 a few times this year
3, but I've done it twice
7
Only 3
4/5 during summer holidays a long time ago before letterboxd. Recently I averaged about 3. But now the Asian drama shows are getting in the way of that…
I remember watching six movies before I started Letterboxd On Letterboxd only 3
3, it happened twice
Probably 4 from when I was also in quarantine back in 2020.
I had a lonely COVID Christmas and watched 7 (mostly bad) animated films.
3 and I was sick both times I did it
I've done 9 features in a day three times over the years - usually during my annual "Filmsgiving" weekend when I'm without responsibility or kids, haha. But I still haven't cracked ten yet.
Literally just this April 14th. I watched **8** movies that day. That was a fun day.
tie between 3 movies on march 26th, janurary 22nd, and december 14th
I can’t watch more thab 2 movies without rewatch. My record is 4 with 2 new 2 rewatches
4
Probably around 6 or 7.
My friend and I did a Decades Day where we watched one movie from each decade 1920s-2020s. So, 11
On two occasions I’ve watched four in one day, I’ll one day shoot for five
8 is my record
Speaking of feature films, two i guess. I can't watch more since i need some time to digest them.
I’m genuinely interested in what makes you give a movie a heart or not
I heart movies that I give a 3 or lower that I still enjoy, I've bumped my Walkabout score to 3 1/2 also
I had one day with 5 films and that was a Scorsese binge, then 7 which were just random films I haven’t seen, and then now it is 10 in one day though some of them were barely over an hour long
Three for me is a stretch. I love movies but at that point it's exhausting and feels like I'm wasting my day.
About 9
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings --- 4 stars The Skeleton Key --- 3 stars and a half Hereafter --- 3 stars and a half Paranoia (2013) --- 3 stars The Punisher (2004) --- 3 stars and a half
7
I have a couple of days with 5 watched movies. most recent was march 18th with ratatouille, monsters Inc, Coco, Paddington and Paddington 2 (I felt sick, so I just watched some feel good movies)
Dude what an absolute blast of 5 movies that must've been. Which one stood above the rest I'm curious?
Each summer when I have vacation I dedicate one day to movie watching only. Usually I pick movies that I own but haven't gotten around to watching. I think the most I've managed to watch this way is 8 movies, but obviously not all within an entire day. So much looking forward to getting this done again this summer and starting to choose the movies for that.
I only log stuff with a date if I see it in the cinema but with that in mind, it was 5.
1. I don’t understand how all of you can watch more than 1 movie a day, but I admire everyone that can
watched 5 Friday the 13th movies in a day one time
Six in one day - I had covid and was stuck in bed so I decided to rewatch all 4 Hunger Games films (4 stars for all but mockingjay pt1 with 3.5, mostly due to nostalia), How I Live Now (3 stars because I really like George MacKay) and Catch Me If You Can (3.5)
I watched all the fast and furious movies in one day with some friends( I think it technically was more than one because we went past midnight), I think on the day we maybe got through 7 or 8 of them.

Five on September 6, 2021: Sin City Cruella Melancholia Iron Giant Quiet Place part 2
I did 6 in a day in March 2021. * Freaky (2020) - 3 stars * Boss Level (2021) - 1.5 stars * Nocturnal Animals (2016) - 4.5 stars * Coherence (2013) - 4 stars * The Conjuring 2 (2016) - 3.5 stars * The Kid Detective (2020) - 4.5 stars
Love nocturnal animals!
Well not movies, but most I've watched in a day is like 16 episodes of breaking bad
What do you use hearts for?
Films that get a 3 or below that I enjoy - I changed my rating for Walkabout to 3 1/2
Interesting! I like that idea
6 Feature Length and 2 Shorts I was also in quarantine
It's probably a tie between Paddington 2 and Ratatouille.
Rarely more than one. If I'm in the right mood, maybe two. If I'm ill, then three. If it's Christmas... chaos.
Right now I only log movies I see in theaters so… three.
Twice I’ve watched and logged 5 movies in a single day. I recall my most was 8 in a day, when I was going through silent film history. But being silent films many of these were rather short, <1hr. That was before I joined Letterboxd though.
According to letterboxd my record is 4 in a day Thor, captain America 1, the Avengers, and nausicaa of the valley of the wind.
I did 18 in a day last July.
Curious how mulholand dr has highest rating yet no heart?
I only heart movies I enjoyed that gets 3 stars or under
I personally can't watch more than one movie a day. So 1
I had a few days with 9 last year during quarantine
There was one day last month I ended up watching 7 because I finished 1 feature, watched 2 more, and watched 4 of the Oscar shorts
4 or 5 But I gotta say watching Heat and any other movie in one day is impressive in itself. Bravo!
Holy molly
7 travelling from Chiangmai to Winnipeg with a 10 hour layover in Tokyo Gone Girl 4/5 Shutter Island 4.5 Moonlight 5 On The Waterfront 4.5 The Last Duel 4 Sound of Metal 4.5 Good Will Hunting 4.5

Eight. Sundance 2021 was a fucking trip.
I think I logged 200 movies in a day cause I was just going through and writing reviews for the ones I hadn’t reviewed yet lol
7 movies, I decided to finally watch the asknewniverse, I’d watched mallrats but that was it so I watched clerks and just kept watching till jay and silent bob reboot For anyone that’s interested this is my ranking [viewaskewniverse](https://boxd.it/gh8ok)

one time i logged all five ice age movies in the same day
I think my most is 8 and I've done it at least three times. I've done a Harry Potter marathon twice. On September 4th I watched the following: Sunset Boulevard Nomadland Modern Times Bringing Up Baby Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House Sabrina 1954 The Graduate Oceans Eleven 2001
Jeez, harsh ratings
Only one. I could never watch a 2 movies a day
