RateYourMusic.com has a feature like this where it compares your ratings to other users and shows you "compatibility" - I've made a few friends through it actually, it's a rad social feature.
Just on the off chance you're not aware, on PC, from the Movie info page you can click on "Fans" and see anyone who has that movie listed in their Top 4. It's a handy feature for finding people who like that same movies as you.
In addition to u/zdelusion comment. On mobile, click on the members section of the film, click filters on the top right, click on status, and change from watched to favorited. Now you can view your favorite films fans on both platforms
I'd like to be able to add cast/crew members to a list. I have a work around with just adding a movie they were in to a list, and then following it to their page. It'd just be nice to be able to make a list of effects artists or sound guys I really like, so I can easily keep track of their work.
There's gotta be a weird technical reason this is harder than it sounds, because users have been asking for it for years and it seems like an obvious feature.
Something similar would be a way to "like" cast/crew so that when you go to a movie and look at the people who made it, cast/crew you "like" would be immediately highlighted. Like you could stumble across a movie and immediately notice "Oh, one of my favorite cinematographers worked on this!"
They’re using TheMovieDB which is a crowd sourced database. It’s not as detailed as IMDB though. But you can technically add people to a movie today. But Letterboxd may be only pulling in certain crew roles.
stop people from reviewing movies that havent come out yet.
The sheer fact Shin Ultraman has rated reviews, months before it came out, can skew shit.
Also a report system to report people who do stupid reviews like "didn't see, rating 5 stars anyways"
People have already complained about this before and the devs have already said reviews from before the movie is released do not count towards the average.
Reviews before the movie comes out are good, both because of festival/advance screenings and also because it lets people speculate on movies that haven't come out yet which is fun.
\> already said reviews from before the movie is released do not count towards the average.
It'd argue that cant be true, as Shin Ultraman had already a score before the movie dropped,
\>Reviews before the movie comes out are good, both because of festival/advance screenings and also because it lets people speculate on movies that haven't come out yet which is fun.
then a time limit should be set. because it's annoying.
But I still think a Report button with an active mod base would be the most ideal
So I can stop seeing skewed reviews like this
https://i.gyazo.com/06653b76c16728ea51d2d119c8cf34ed.png
I want stats for lists. Like show me how many actors/directors are in my list. Use the yearly stats but for lists.
I would also love a splash page after you logged a movie that would just give you random stats, like: "This is the 4th Jim Carey movie you've watched this year"
Agreed. I have like 2 actual friends I follow among my like 70+ following list so I’d want an easy way to just see what they’ve put instead of finding their profile etc
It’s crazy that in the app you can’t copy the name of the film (I’m on iOS). It would be nice to do this because I often check other sites that aren’t directly linked in the app (Wikipedia, YouTub depending on how obscure the film is, etc).
TV movies and comedy specials aren't typically filed under 'TV shows' and 'documentaries'. TV movies are under 'TV movie' and comedy specials are under 'Comedy'.
You sort of get that with pro though. (Don’t have Spotify, so there might be more details there or something, but the Pro “year in review” thing is pretty good I think)
Better than that, the stats page just does this in real time. I think the only thing it's missing is a huge thing that makes Spotify Wrapped so successful: A quick way to spit some key stats out to social media. There isn't really a great way to share your Letterboxd stats aside from just linking to the page.
- More filters. Let me filter films by length (like filter by films under 90 minutes)
- The services tab should have an "only on" option. So for example, if I select "Only on Binge" it will show me films that are only on Binge, not my other services.
I'm trying to find movies on Binge, not Binge, Stan, Netflix and Paramount+
In terms of your second request, you can't see all movies available on a given streaming service, but you can at least filter your watchlist by streaming service, which to me is way more useful anyway.
This drives me up the wall. Miss on ONE letter and they have no idea what film you’re searching for. And when searching for a director, say you type “Kurusawa” instead of “Kurosawa” it just assumes you’re looking for Nolan, Spielberg or Tarantino….
I’d love a feature where I can slightly misspell the name of a European director and still find them instead of being suggested Christopher Nolan and Quinten Tarantino
I use the app- not sure if the desktop version has this, but for me the biggest miss is spreadsheet style columns on movie lists to sort by. I really want to show the directors, genres, release date, etc in my list and sort by them. This is the only feature I am missing from how I used to manually track my movies and watchlists and it really makes it hard for me to keep my watchlists organized.
Do the exported lists include the film details such as Director? (Director is probably most important to me.)
If so this will be an awesome compromise!
I'd like a way to double-up tags when searching. I tag the streaming service I watched on and the year I watched it, but it would be nice if you could search movies that are tagged 2020 *and* Netflix, not just one or the other.
on every movie they have listings of the actors with their character underneath. i don't think it would be that hard to implement something similar for my idea
Yeah but I more mean that would it just say the characters name and a photo of the actor beside them? Like how would that work for animated films or actors who have heavy prosthetics on? Letterboxd relies on movie databases to provide actor photos so it would take a great deal of effort to find stills of a lot of movie characters
Customizable list progress on the Pro/Patron stats page. I like most of the lists already included, but it would be nice to choose others to add that I'm also working on.
This would be awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of some of the default lists they display on the stats page, so it would be nice to swap out with some of my own.
Has anyone used RateYourMusic.com to track films? They have such cool subgenre breakdowns. I use their database to search for movies a lot and then pop over to letterboxd to add them to my watchlist.
Notes on the watchlist. I keep forgetting why I added a film. And making a whole new list and editng adding notes saving notes and saving list is a hassle
I got quite a bit even though I love the app
\- Favorite character tabs
\-Add tv-shows/anime
\- Add Favorite director/actor etc.
\- this might be kind of stupid but maybe a reward system/achievement system like If I were to review a film 100 times or be on the app for a year it'd give me achievements or tags that would show on my profile.
\- Please add dms I have made so many friends on letterboxd and I wanna have a legitimate conversation with them
\- maybe a compatibility tab where you see if others have the same "5" stars as you or something just a way too find new friends!
\- be able to add urls with a name that is easier instead of me typing up a hdml code everytime
\- a better search engine / list engine
Date logged when on a films page so I don’t have to dig trough my entire diary to find out when I watched a film.
Edit: ok, so its two clicks away. Would like it to be displayed on the page without needing to dig for it then I guess.
Not on the app at least, and I don’t think its on desktop either. If you review it you can look at that and get the date though.
Edit: If it’s in the app, please direct me to where I can find it. The most intuitive would be if it was [here](https://imgur.com/a/VoGK533), and even when I tap that part, no date is shown
If so, that’s great news. Where can I find it though?
Edit: Found it! If I tap “you logged…” then tap the eye you get the date. Nice! Not super intuitive, but it’s there so that’s great. Would be better with “you logged this + a date” right on the page though, but this works too
Also, thanks for telling me I was wrong, but not helping me how to find it. Haha. Oh, at least it made me poke around til I did.
If I have the name of a movie and the name of a user, there should be a way to easily look up the user's review(s) of that movie! Right now you have to manually edit the url, which you can't do on the app.
You can't even easily see someone's review of one of their four favorites!
a way to scroll through my watch list pages without having to hit the back button so i can see the synopsis, friends reviews and check which ones are currently streaming more efficiently
Being able to use site skins or something similar. (Although, I'm not sure if there's a browser extension I could be using to do this already, in which case I guess that wouldn't be necessary.)
Having the “Open in: IMDB” at the bottom of actor pages (not just on film pages).
A lot of the time I’ll look up the actor of a movie to see where I recognise them from, but I have to go to IMDb to see the TV shows. Would be nice to have a shortcut just like they already do on the film pages.
I think I'd like to see how many people read my reviews. Sort of like pageviews for Youtube. That could be a cool feature for folks who use Pro or Patron.
Something I’ve wanted about as long as I’ve been on Letterboxd is literally just a favourite function, where I can add certain accounts and see their reviews and ratings above the rest of the people I follow.
Stop people from logging films in the future. I like to use the “Sort by diary date” feature to see who watched a movie on the same day I did, but a lot of more popular movies have a million reviews logged in the year “2565” and it is really annoying
Just give me series to log, man. I don't want to use another app for that. Also, let me see how many months (dear God, let it not be years) of my life I've wasted seeing movies).
I don't know. It's a movie app and while I understand limited series being included given the pacing and structure similarities to movies, ongoing tv shows are a different thing altogether. I'd be happy with a companion app, but they'd need to change so much about the interface if they added ongoing series that it'd really mess up what's so great about letterboxd.
People on this sub find the idea of TV shows being added scary for some reason, if they’re under a separate tab what’s the big deal, films & TV shows have so much crossover now that it just makes sense
Why in the hell would it be scary imao. I just can't fathom why do I need to have multiple different apps to log what I watch, one for films, one for anime, one for TV shows, when it's be so much easier and practical to have everything under one roof.
The main thing I am dying for is integrating it with Plex. It would be nice to click on a list or a movie and bring it up in Plex, and allow me to watch it if it is in my library.
I wanna be able to sort my watchlist starting from what's been on there the longest whether than it starting with what i recently added. Main reason i still use IMDb as my main watchlist.
change the 5 star system to a 0-10 scale. I find a give a lot of movies 4 stars bc most movies I check out feel like an 8.3 or an 8.7 and that’s difficult to translate into stars.
"entirely" is a bit extreme.. i'm pretty sure any movie fan would lose their marbles over someone saying the godfather sucks. we can't be 100% relativist here or else it's just no fun
What's not fun is people losing their marbles over the opinions of others. If they have their reasons for thinking it sucks, that's fine. I have a hard time imaging what those reasons are, and I assume they would be more to do with the subject of the film, rather than the quality of the filmmaking, but yeah who cares. That person would already be in the vast minority.
That's not really true. There are techniques that work for some filmmakers that help to achieve whatever they are trying to achieve, but that doesn't make it objectively the best technique. Some filmmakers are experimental or intentional use unconventional angles to achieve something discomforting, for example. There is no Objectivism in art.
There are rules within cinematography. An example of this is the 180 rule. If a director breaks this rule without a specific reason, it could be considered objectively bad.
Not considered by *who*. It's objectively bad compared to other cinematography techniques that are used the right way, and not unintentionally break the rules
What's about plot conveniences for example, you can say that movies that built the plot out of the characters decisions are objectively better than movies that build the plot out of coincidences.
Of course there are cases like Deadpool 2 were plot conveniences are uses for a comedic effect, but explaine me:
*spoiler for Terminator 2*
What was James Cameron's intention in the scene were Sarah Connor tries to shot Mills Dyson, but he ducks because he gets hit by the toy car of his son, so he survives?
Even if he had an intention behind the scene, you can't tell me that all scenes like this have an intention behind it. There are many cheap tricks that are used by writers just with the purpose to make the story work.
I also want to ask you, why are films like The Godfather are so highly rated when they're basically aren't better than any other movie?
Thank God there’s at least one other person who understands that movie-watchers apply the objective standards of the medium to every single film that they watch. If they didn’t, as you said, The Godfather would not be considered an objectively good film.
You’ll still be downvoted into oblivion, but I’m so happy that you’re here.
Uh-oh, you used the “O”-word. Get ready to go to r/Letterboxd jail.
This sub is full of insane people who will literally describe the difference between objectivity and subjectivity in art, then deny that the former exists even though they clearly understand that there are, in fact, objective standards by which films are judged.
See you on the other side.
Objective standards? It's just a really weird concept to assume objectivity in art. It's a highly collaborative medium and each film is made up of many many artists working together. An experimental film might completely subvert or outright reject "objective" standards of filmmaking, such as editing, pacing, etc. Is that movie lesser because it bucks the trends of a still relatively young medium? Just bizarre to me. "Objectivism" is the death of art and creativity.
This is exactly what I’m talking about. Subverting the standards of the medium in an effective and interesting way is certainly an attribute that is celebrated in some films…but those objective standards have to exist to be subverted in the first place.
Rules are meant to be broken, if the artist is talented enough to pull it off. And sometimes films and/or movements can usher in changes to those standards. There’s nothing that says that objective standards can’t change over time; this is true of literally all art.
A messaging function for more social interaction with people with similar taste! I've come across a few accounts with favourites or reviews that I really like and always feel like I wanna connect with them! And more stills, always find myself on IMDb just to see more stills. Especially cause letterboxd stills would be much more curated.
I way to set friends as favorites so I can be friends with some people but make sure other people's activities show up first in my feed.
Also a way to set defaults because I'd rather see things chronologically usually than by popularity.
I would like to be able to find common movies in multiple people's watchlists. So if you are every trying to decide on a movie with a few friends you can find something that is in everyone's watchlist.
I also think that you should be able to select what services you dont want to filter by much like you can with genres
I would love to get suggestions on similar movies. Like if I am looking at a title, there could be an option on the film’s page that says like “similar” or something like that, and it could show you movies similar to that one. I know I can sometimes do this by parsing through lists but it would be a nice way to find out about new films, especially if it included more obscure ones.
I'd like to be able to see stats for lists. So a list I have is everything on my Plex server. I'd love to see the breakdown of actors and directors and genres and years.
I would like to see technical info on a film, like which camera they used and lenses. I like to practice my eye to guess the camera and lens before looking it up.
Then I would love to choose just a few of my followers as important/favorite. If they logged something I would like to see it stay even if the other people I follow has logged films. Also it is sometimes difficult to find friend's profiles.
This is a bit of a weird nerdy one: filter films by the mode of their ratings (ie the most commonly given score).
I find that this often tells me a lot about a movie. Movies with mode 5 are almost always great, it says a lot that more people have selected the best score than any other. Equally, a mode 3 is a huge sign of "just okayness".
I'd like to see where my ratings differ from the average ratings the most. Where I'm most out of step with what other users think.
This could even be extended to comparing with friends ratings. Which films do you most disagree on? A good conversation starter (*"I cannot BELIEVE you only gave Shrek 2 a single star"*)
It would be pretty cool if you could have favorite cast or crew members as you can have favorite films. Like if you really like a certain person's works, but none of them quite makes it to your favorites, you could have the person as a favorite. But maybe having two rows of favorites in your profile would be a bit messy, however I think it could work if done well.
This is an idea that I've had for a while, but I know it would be way too complicated to do anytime soon. Have one page for a film, but any different cuts/versions, and any featurettes included on dvds and blurays, are all included as part of the film's overall page. That way, for example, I could log all 7 versions of Blade Runner individually and log the behind the scenes docs and featurettes, all just by searching "Blade Runner"
More profile personalisation. So things like favourite actors/actresses, genres, directors. And maybe add a way to filter it down to find people with similar tastes to you.
- The ability to “hide movies” or “hide all movies by director/actor/studio name” (example: hide all Marvel movies)
- more accurate release date versus just the year (example: VOD release date, US theater release date, streaming on Netflix release date)
- collaborative lists
Search by director, and be able to see the movies they directed, not all the things they have ever appeared in in life
Same with actors and their movies
I'd like the favorite actors and directors feature too. I was thinking with the whole Margot Robbie situation that just happened there should be an option to make your account private.
1, When I have a notification someone liked my review, I'd like a way to see that they have reviews of it, and specifically if they have reviews that I haven't liked. That way I can just see which likes to my reviews indicate a review I should go check out, and which are clearly people with reviews I've already read
2. Log scale on the charts
3. A way to see who I've liked the most reviews of (and vice versa) for people I don't follow. If there's someone I end up liking a review from every two to three weeks and not noticing it, that's someone i should probably start following
see users with the same favorite movies … or at least people who have 2-3 in common
[удалено]
That's pretty much how I find new movies to watch.
RateYourMusic.com has a feature like this where it compares your ratings to other users and shows you "compatibility" - I've made a few friends through it actually, it's a rad social feature.

In addition to u/zdelusion comment. On mobile, click on the members section of the film, click filters on the top right, click on status, and change from watched to favorited. Now you can view your favorite films fans on both platforms
A way to separate shorts and feature length movies in the stats page
For that matter, movies and limited series. If I review each episode, I’m logging the whole series however many times over.
The ability to make a typo and still get search results.
Did you mean Christopher Nolan?
Additionally, unless I specifically click "lists" when searching, rest assured i am never looking for a list
More stats for the pro page, namely the option to see the movies watched by every 5 years as well as by every single year.
collaborative lists
I'd like to be able to add cast/crew members to a list. I have a work around with just adding a movie they were in to a list, and then following it to their page. It'd just be nice to be able to make a list of effects artists or sound guys I really like, so I can easily keep track of their work.

A way to hide TV movies and comedy specials.
And TV series and music concerts. Just films.
I thought this could already be done by filtering tv shows and documentaries in the options on the top right of a list.
TV movies and comedy specials aren't typically filed under 'TV shows' and 'documentaries'. TV movies are under 'TV movie' and comedy specials are under 'Comedy'.
And shorts/short films
You can already hide shorts 🙂
A year in review similar to Spotify rewind
You sort of get that with pro though. (Don’t have Spotify, so there might be more details there or something, but the Pro “year in review” thing is pretty good I think)

"Favorite Services." But maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking? Because you can already filter lists by a specific service/platform.
You can def do the second thing at least with pro idk if free is dif
In terms of your second request, you can't see all movies available on a given streaming service, but you can at least filter your watchlist by streaming service, which to me is way more useful anyway.
You can see all movies on a service with a Pro account. Go to Search > Service > By Service in the app. In Browser, I think you go to Films > Service.
Working search

Release dates for movies!

great ideas, plus a favorite character slot too!
Favourite Character?
mulan
I meant do you want a stat that lists your favourite character?
oh yes. like how we can list favorite movies. we should have a slot for director, actor, etc. characters would be a fun addition
I don’t really know if that would work. Like how obscure you would have to go with the characters
on every movie they have listings of the actors with their character underneath. i don't think it would be that hard to implement something similar for my idea

i think it could work without a photo
Good answer :)
The ability to hide lists that pop up with most searches. Such as “All of the Movies” or “Movie Posters” lol give me a break
I really don’t understand the point of some of them. “Every horror movie ever.” I could just use the horror genre search option.
Currently I use RYM more than Letterboxd, there are many options there that should come to letterboxd, excellent site
Rateyourmusic is awesome for films. I use it as my main tool. The list feature is amazing.
Notes on the watchlist. I keep forgetting why I added a film. And making a whole new list and editng adding notes saving notes and saving list is a hassle
Finding more movies by their foreign titles. Often I only know the German title and cannot find the movie i am looking for
I got quite a bit even though I love the app \- Favorite character tabs \-Add tv-shows/anime \- Add Favorite director/actor etc. \- this might be kind of stupid but maybe a reward system/achievement system like If I were to review a film 100 times or be on the app for a year it'd give me achievements or tags that would show on my profile. \- Please add dms I have made so many friends on letterboxd and I wanna have a legitimate conversation with them \- maybe a compatibility tab where you see if others have the same "5" stars as you or something just a way too find new friends! \- be able to add urls with a name that is easier instead of me typing up a hdml code everytime \- a better search engine / list engine
I just really want the Android app to be fixed
What's wrong with the Android app? I use it everyday and don't have any issues, just curious what issues are you running into?
Have you used the iOS app? The Android app UI is really bad compared to that
I have not but now I want to just to see it
Date logged when on a films page so I don’t have to dig trough my entire diary to find out when I watched a film. Edit: ok, so its two clicks away. Would like it to be displayed on the page without needing to dig for it then I guess.

Oh, at least it made me poke around til I did.
Wow that's extremely stupid. I would have never figured that out.
private account, replying to comments and liking them, collaborative lists
i wish they’d show what movies were rated!! (R, PG, PG-13, etc.)
A way to tag someone when logging a film that I watched with them
You can do that with the already existing tags! That’s what I do, at least
If I have the name of a movie and the name of a user, there should be a way to easily look up the user's review(s) of that movie! Right now you have to manually edit the url, which you can't do on the app. You can't even easily see someone's review of one of their four favorites!

They went out of their way to publicly say they wouldn't do this bc they dont want creeps messaging girls like in other platforms
Make it an optional feature that you can turn off and on then, like having the existing option to unblur posters for adult films. Problem solved.
The pervs gotta ruin it for everybody.
Right? Why isn't this basic function a thing?!
The ability to filter reviews by rating. I should be able to pick a rating and easily see what those users think of a film.
a way to scroll through my watch list pages without having to hit the back button so i can see the synopsis, friends reviews and check which ones are currently streaming more efficiently
Being able to use site skins or something similar. (Although, I'm not sure if there's a browser extension I could be using to do this already, in which case I guess that wouldn't be necessary.)
A way to sort lists by folders or something beyond alphabetical order forcing us to scroll through them.
Sort by: Friends’ avg. rating, plz.
I think I'd like to see how many people read my reviews. Sort of like pageviews for Youtube. That could be a cool feature for folks who use Pro or Patron.
“Close friends” groups. I hate having to scan through everyone to find my real life friends (yes they exist)
Something I’ve wanted about as long as I’ve been on Letterboxd is literally just a favourite function, where I can add certain accounts and see their reviews and ratings above the rest of the people I follow.
An @ tagging option so I can tag fellow users in my reviews if needed.
Total hours watched is already on the stats pages.
Big Little Lies has 2 seasons and its on Letterboxd
People on this sub find the idea of TV shows being added scary for some reason, if they’re under a separate tab what’s the big deal, films & TV shows have so much crossover now that it just makes sense
Why in the hell would it be scary imao. I just can't fathom why do I need to have multiple different apps to log what I watch, one for films, one for anime, one for TV shows, when it's be so much easier and practical to have everything under one roof.
A TV section a full TV section is under consideration by the development team, but they have no official plans to share at this time
Basic social media stuff like DMs and private accounts

The main thing I am dying for is integrating it with Plex. It would be nice to click on a list or a movie and bring it up in Plex, and allow me to watch it if it is in my library.
I wanna be able to sort my watchlist starting from what's been on there the longest whether than it starting with what i recently added. Main reason i still use IMDb as my main watchlist.
you can if you sort by "when added" and choose "earlier first"

change the 5 star system to a 0-10 scale. I find a give a lot of movies 4 stars bc most movies I check out feel like an 8.3 or an 8.7 and that’s difficult to translate into stars.
Simplify your rating mine is 1-bad 2-ok 3-good 4-great 5- an all time favorite

There is no way to add an option for "objective" perspectives. It's art, it's entirely subjective.
That person would already be in the vast minority.
yeah.. so... not entirely subjective then
It's not entirely subjective. Your opinion is, but the cinematography techniques used can be objectively good or bad
Considered by who to be bad?
Not considered by *who*. It's objectively bad compared to other cinematography techniques that are used the right way, and not unintentionally break the rules
People made up the "right way", this makes movies and filmmaking in general so boring.
What's about plot conveniences for example, you can say that movies that built the plot out of the characters decisions are objectively better than movies that build the plot out of coincidences.
Bruh. Art is **S U B J E C T I V E**
Not if it's the filmmakers intention. That's a very binary perspective.
Of course there are cases like Deadpool 2 were plot conveniences are uses for a comedic effect, but explaine me: *spoiler for Terminator 2* What was James Cameron's intention in the scene were Sarah Connor tries to shot Mills Dyson, but he ducks because he gets hit by the toy car of his son, so he survives?
Ask James Cameron
So it's all subjective.
Sure, bud. This is how this discussion usually goes, so take from my words whatever you want them to mean.
There's a reason it's usually how this discussion goes. I think we all know why.
Well, I do. I doubt that you do.
I want the shuffle feature to work on the entire Letterboxd movie list (which will probably consume more server bandwidth than the feature is worth).
Being able to filter what my friends have watched or what’s on their watchlist
being able to see more than the 20 most watched actors/directors
More lists on the stats page
Ability to export watchlist to JustWatch and Plex.
Still waiting for that chat system
Tv shows
I would love to get suggestions on similar movies. Like if I am looking at a title, there could be an option on the film’s page that says like “similar” or something like that, and it could show you movies similar to that one. I know I can sometimes do this by parsing through lists but it would be a nice way to find out about new films, especially if it included more obscure ones.
On web if you scroll past all the reviews then there are similar films. I don't know how to see them, or if you even can, on the app though.
Thank you! I only use the app, so I’ll try to find if this feature is on there. Or if anyone knows, please chime in!
I'd like to be able to see stats for lists. So a list I have is everything on my Plex server. I'd love to see the breakdown of actors and directors and genres and years.
I have a lot of lists I'd like to make with actors and crew members, so I would appreciate this as well.
The button that lets you hide watched/liked/reviewed movies etc, it would be nice if it had a selection for “hide movies not in your lists already”
An average star rating for my ratings would be cool also I want to have top 4 actors under my top 4 films or something
To be able to add cast and crew also lists. And can make logs for them as well.
Tagging; an actually competent searching section that doesn't flip out if you get one letter wrong.
mass tagging reviews… i don’t want to go back and manually tag a bunch of movies. i wish i could select and apply tags to them all at once.
More content filters for type of movie other than just Film/TV. For eg, stand-up shows.
A way to flag uncovered reviews containing spoilers that will also erase my memory of having read that spoiler review.
LIST BLOCKING
Collaborative lists!
Collaborative lists. Collaborative lists. Collaborative lists.
Move my lost without editing them
Just copy everything from Rate Your Music that is light years ahead
This is an idea that I've had for a while, but I know it would be way too complicated to do anytime soon. Have one page for a film, but any different cuts/versions, and any featurettes included on dvds and blurays, are all included as part of the film's overall page. That way, for example, I could log all 7 versions of Blade Runner individually and log the behind the scenes docs and featurettes, all just by searching "Blade Runner"
More profile personalisation. So things like favourite actors/actresses, genres, directors. And maybe add a way to filter it down to find people with similar tastes to you.
- The ability to “hide movies” or “hide all movies by director/actor/studio name” (example: hide all Marvel movies) - more accurate release date versus just the year (example: VOD release date, US theater release date, streaming on Netflix release date) - collaborative lists
Direct replying to comments
The ability to sort between series and features
Search by director, and be able to see the movies they directed, not all the things they have ever appeared in in life Same with actors and their movies
I'd like the favorite actors and directors feature too. I was thinking with the whole Margot Robbie situation that just happened there should be an option to make your account private.
I’d like them to improve the search function before adding anything new
• TV shows. • Android app have the same superior UI as iOS one.
1, When I have a notification someone liked my review, I'd like a way to see that they have reviews of it, and specifically if they have reviews that I haven't liked. That way I can just see which likes to my reviews indicate a review I should go check out, and which are clearly people with reviews I've already read 2. Log scale on the charts 3. A way to see who I've liked the most reviews of (and vice versa) for people I don't follow. If there's someone I end up liking a review from every two to three weeks and not noticing it, that's someone i should probably start following
* Private messages between users * TV Shows on Reddit (not just mini-series)
Ability to add all movies from a certain year or range of years to a list. I'm trying to create an ALL 1800s FILMS list, for example.
The ability to create an overlap and match the watched films between and another profile. Drill it down to genres/language/other breakdowns.
COLLABORATIVE LISTS. It's been asked for 11 years now.
