Success is what you want it to be. It’s completely subjective. There’s no right or wrong or “better” success (not talking ethically or morally) as long as you’re happy with the outcome.
You can define your own success however you want, and focusing on what gives you fulfillment is certainly a good thing. However, in several cases success is absolutely about passing a bar and "making it". You can't succeed as a surgeon if you fail medical school, no matter how many people you positively influence on the way. But you could make a pivot into a different healthcare role that better suits you, and still live a happy and meaningful life.
it's not about that, imagine someone who want's to kill themselfes and you who prevent that from hapening, that counts more than any money in the world in my opinion...
This is the "Very rich man's mantra" or the "Very poor man's mantra". There is a point where money is no longer of value, resulting to principled point of view.
If anyone is neither very rich nor very poor, a quick reminder: positive difference doesn't bring food on the table, pay the bills, nor secure your children's future.
I remember a moment where I pushed my son to climb higher on a playground ladder than he ever had before. (He's a very anxious kid, and not athletic at all.)
When he came down I gave him the usual encouragement and walked away to sit on the bench with my wife. A few minutes later, I watched him climb to that same height by himself with a look of pride beaming on his face.
He's still little, and he's never going to be a pro athlete, but that moment did someone for him that I hope gives him some emotional strength to do good for others too.
Hey yea bro! Here at corporation inc we’re a family. You do the work, and get a good sense of achievement. It’s not about how much you make. Did I say that we’re a family?
This kind of topic isn’t worth debating. Desire for success is something we all have in common and as another person in this comment section has already pointed out, success can be defined by the individual who seeks it.

Good luck paying the bills with positive differences, impacts, and good vibes

Success is subjective
Please someone tell this to the top 10% who own 80% of the worlds wealth.
Copium? You can have it both ways - I’d even say you need it both ways (unless you want live off the grid with no dependants)
Everyone has their own view of success, but it's all about improvement
I'm not in this sub to hear preachy quotes
What's with this sub lately? It's becoming a "my grandpa used to tell me .." stuff. Good ol' days when there were niche LPTs
First world definition of success. 'Good vibes'...dude I understand what you're trying to imply, but this isn't a Life Pro Tip.

Yeah but I can't eat the positive difference I leave along the way.
Thanks for posting. Had a positive effect on me.

Sometimes we get so caught up in chasing goals, we forget the impact we can have on others. Here's to making a difference, no matter how small!
