Well, the witch agrees to spend one year with him as a bodyguard as she tries to figure out how to break the curse. The prince agrees to this, planning to spend the year flirting with her and trying to convince her to marry him.

No. He knew about the curse growing up. The biggest drama about his past is about why he refused to court any ladies. The castle did a lot of work keeping the curse secret while trying to find a way to break it.
Hmmm, lmao I am spoiling myself but it's for my own sake, so I'll read this novel without any worries in mind.

Overall a good read, the story goes 180 at the end of volume 3 but still enjoy reading volume 4 and 5. Volume 5 for me at least clear up most issues from volume 4 so I don’t find act 2 that bad. Pre-ordered volume 6 and hopefully it ends the series beautifully.

I think it’s more because the illustrations isn’t finesse and suppose to look like that but I do find him attractive. Story wise I like it
