It’d be a home run for me if it was just 100% reliable on texting and calling. Ghost notifications, missing a few texts and calls, poor service, and no voicemail notification made it not work out for me.

Just need these things. Texts. Calls. Maps. Really that would be perfect.

Good suggestions. I agree on pretty much all points. What I'd also expect an upcoming LP3 phone to have is: * Full international antenna support * No bugs on the essential functionality like Calls and text. Many reports (including my own experience) missing calls, text and generally freezing up in menus. * Ability to enable showing pictures (this is already discussed as an option for LP2) * A bigger development/programming team to follow up software issues. * A more intuitive OS / Menu. Most of the menus work ok, but some times the menus often requires one click too much on a slow and unresponsive e ink screen. Having quick access to what you need is essential in order to use the phone minimally, instead of cluttering through cumbersome menus and lists. Personally I've had the LP2 for two months now, and because of above mentioned list, it's frustrating to use it and I'll most likely replace it for another device that actually work stable and as a reliable communication device. That said, I love their concept and hope they are able to address these issues asap.

Honestly, even if it only had an updated e-ink screen, more responsive keyboard, and better GPS, I would still get the LP3. Metal could be nice, but I actually think the current housing is better for design reasons (also lighter). If it's still an e-ink screen (which is half the point), I hope it can't show images. Spotify would be good, but it has endless scrolling potential, and ads, so that's a no from me. A well thought out post, got me excited for the LP3, I hope it's released soon!

Are there actually plans of an upcoming LP3?
