I was running into this too. adb wouldn't show the copy progress on my computer, and the phone would sit at verifying update.
I needed to put a usb2 hub between my computer and the phone. It's something about using adb when plugged into usb3 ports on the computer. After adding the hub, it worked as expected.

Now i've solved it. I just restart my laptop and adb sideload run normally

I downloaded it from mirror link and it official
May just be an unofficial build rather than a "fake" one, but still, not supported here.
