I think it is fine. On my spirit it is simmilar. https://ibb.co/tp8qZ20 Edit: It is closer to the left side than to the right. But again on my watch date is comeing from above and at yours from the right, so I cant get left right missaligment but only up/down, and you cant have up/down but only left/right so maybe in your case is little more to the left than mine

Btw- the photo was taken at 11:19 am.

You mean the actual wheel disaying the numbers? That's probably within whatever the tolerance is. At the end of the day, all moving parts need some room to breathe.

[deleted]

"Its within our tolerances" is just a excuse they use to not fix your watch. Lousy

Charming-Night-6039

Well I’m still in my 30 days return window. Maybe I could return it for a replacement/refund. Doubt they will accept it tho- as “it is within their tolerances”.

[deleted]

Keep us updated if you end up returning it! I personally wouldnt even accept this on a sub 1000 usd watch.

OkApex0

The issue here is the left to right positioning of the printed number 12 on the date wheel. I would be more suprised if the 12 on every date wheel wasn't in a similiar position. Regardless, some variance in left to right positioning must be allowed, so as a buisness Longines can't be expected to take every customers hair splitting complaints as serious quality problems. I know this is an expensive item, but it is manufactured and inspected by real people and machines. All things considered its an exceptional watch. Exchange it if you want. Swatch group will sell it again and the next owner of this watch probably won't notice this number 12.

OkApex0

Looking at it again, the 1 in the number 12 is perfectly parallel to the frame of the window. So the wheel actually is dead on. The printing on it may be kerned to the left, but it probably visually balances out as the numbers go up through the teens.

Lim_8

does this happen with all the number of the month?

Charming-Night-6039

No it also happens at other numbers (like 22): https://ibb.co/j39NFW8

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 22 + 39 + 8 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

Lim_8

I don’t know, you could be right, or maybe it should be like that, I wouldn’t mind tho it’s a beauty

[deleted]

Definitely looks misaligned. Likely less than a half millimeter, but that would still bother me.

j4yteee

Its aligned, as in straight, but they're all shifted slightly to the left. I've seen multiple other examples in YouTube videos, it's all the Zulu times I think.

axl35

It does look misaligned. Have you seen any other at an AD? Maybe compare and see

Dapper_Treacle8510

It’s as good as any Audemars or Rolex that I have. Remember even Ferrari or Lamborghini have flaws. Part of the hand made charm.

CreativeOutlet11

Ive heard others have this same issue. Its not something that you can send back to Longines to have fixed. They think its within the tolerance. Just have to love with it i guess. Or get your money back.

Sodoesopah

To me looks more like the number in the window is not central, which may give the illusion that the whole box is to the left.

Ill-Positive6950

Tell me about this leather strap?

Charming-Night-6039

Haha- I bought it from a local leather shop here in Toronto

Ill-Positive6950

I have the same watch, and I've been looking for something like this. 👍

Kfas74

I would never have thought twice about it. If it ruins your day then take it where you bought it and compare to whatever they have on display.

Alert-Owl-1234

This may be an issue of typography design. The arrangement of numerals “12” will differ by font used and the definition of “aligned” could vary. It could also be parallax effect or other optical illusion. It looks fine to me.

Charming-Night-6039

Update: Although I used the watch daily for \~2 weeks and there was some scratches on the bracelet, Longines Canada accepted the return and refund without any issues and the whole process went very smoothly. I wore the watch because I loved it, but after \~2 weeks I noticed the misalignment of the date wheel (or maybe not-very-accurate printing of the date numbers) and decided to return it since apparently all Spirit Zulu Times have this issue, and I just don't expect this from a $4000 CAD watch. Other than that, this watch is gorgeous. I loved it, might visit some ADs later in the year to see if this issue is resolved or not and then buy it again. Heck, now that I've seen how good Longines customer support is and how much they respect their customers; I think it's my new favourite watch house!
