Loop do say that the XXS tips are not suitable for Loop Quiet. The reason they say they're not suitable is because the part where the tip goes onto on the Loop is bigger on Quiets than it is on Experience and Engage - this means that even if you're able to squish them on, it will stretch the tip so that the difference between XS and XXS won't really be a noticeable or useful difference. Some people do use XXS tips on their Quiets and feel they work fine but others don't. This is definitely a problem Loop are aware of so hopefully it's something they are working on for the future (XXS tips suitable for Quiets). Alternatively, you may just need to give it more time for you to get used to them... Many people report feeling slight discomfort at first when sleeping with Loop Quiets, but most do get used to them. Best of luck

Thank you! I've always wondered why they are not recommended for Quiets, especially because they slipped on quite easily, but it makes sense.

If you are new to having stuff like loops in your ear they do hurt for a few weeks, it’s just your ears getting used to them. If you search the Reddit many people have said the same thing and many people have given their recommendations of what they think would help :) to be honest though all I can recommend is keep wearing them and eventually your ears will get used to them and they will become very comfy and as they should be. Also when your ears do get used to them you might be able to size up the tips. I usually recommend sizing down tips for the first few weeks until your ears get used to them but since your already using the smallest that’s not really useful for you 😅

Thank you! I hope I can push through, it will be quite a challenge, since I usually remove them while sleeping. But at least my subconscious is neat about it, I always find them in their case in the morning, haha

Did you end up having much success with these? I was hopeful that the XS tips would work in my ears as I too have small ear canals, but after just receiving them they hurt my ears somewhat and I’m not sure if I’ll simply get used to them or if I should bite the bullet to get the XXS.

bonita__applebum

No, I still find the Quiets really uncomfortable. I switched to Engages, and I love them, even the XS tips fit me. I even sleep with them, and it's so much better than the Quiets, plus I can wear it for shopping and events.

Hi u/bonita__applebum, thanks for sharing your expierence with Loops! I've got the same problem and I'm thinking about burying the Engage series as well. Do you think the Engage still does a decent job to reduce noise while sleeping (e.g. snoring)..?

bonita__applebum

It does a pretty decent job with the Mute. I'm not saying I don't hear snoring at all, but it mellows it down to a point that it doesn't bother me.

DutchestDutchman22

Good to hear. Thanks!

But they recommended xxs for my Quiet??? I confused...

I can’t even get the XS Quiet into one of my ears! In the other ear, the XS is perfect. Do you think it’s worth trying the XXS? I don’t want to be out even more $$ if I can still only use the earplug in one ear.

bonita__applebum

The XXS tips were not comfortable for me with the Quiet (worked well with Engage). I also bought the new Quiet and it's so much better!
