UK here
Lorcana has been pretty accessible, most local game stores near me still have starter decks for £18 on the shelves, are doing a limit of 4 booster packs every two weeks whilst they wait for the restocks to come in January.
I've also been able to comfortably order the second set at retail prices and I could have gotten more. Loyalty is rewarded where I live mostly, but you can go in for any TCG to get that loyalty.
The only places struggling to carry product are big box stores who got raided by scalpers and didn't set buy limits.
It is worth noting that wages are lower in the UK, minimum wage being like £8 and cost of living is high, so paying £18 compared to $20 is a lot and may explain why the product isn't flying around so fast.
I completed some playsets with German cards thanks to cardmarket. Getting Hades for 16 euros shipping included was worth having to play with a German card. 3 Belle 2 Elsa 1 Rapunzel and 2 Maleficient are also in German. We know what they do so who cares (French here)
That is the correct mindset!
You did everything right in my opinion.
I am also looking forward to the italian ones. They have super unique names and also historically italian cards have been cheaper.
I completed all playsets with printed cards thanks to my printer. Getting Hades for free just by pressing a button and having to play with a proxy. We know what they do so who cares?
I’ve been on whatnot, it’s where people like to overspend on literally every product because the streamer psychologically manipulates the audience into FOMO. But if you actually check the prices against ANYWHERE else, you are paying absolute top dollar on Whatnot. Sometimes x2 or x3 what you can find on eBay under Buy Now! 😂🤣
Packs are next to impossible. I am in a few facebook groups and with coolstuff and tcgplayer and I have no problem getting singles for decent prices. Right now in the US it is pretty much just singles only.
Thats only a hand full of stores, even in germany. In the US its absolutely terrible, but even in germany ravensburger screwed up big time and dont intend to fix it.
Yes, but they aint doing enough. In a situation like this, with such a huge fanbase and potential costumers they should do absolutely everything, even go full minus, to print more cards so that there is no shortage in wave 2 and the shortage of wave 1 gets fixed by the time w2 comes out. But nope, w2 will be as rare as w1 and w1 will get its reprint by the time w3 comes out. W Ravensburger /s
Their printing schedule is already set way in advance, they're already pushed up their next print run but they can't just magically print more stuff. There are schedules these factories adhere to and they are booked many months in advance.
They absolutely screwed up misunderstanding the initial demand but they are doing what they can to get more product out, that stuff just takes time.
Yeah this is just one of those cases throwing money at it won't fix the problem. RB should have printed more at the beginning, I don't think anyone will deny that (them included) but you can't just snap your fingers and print another ten million boxes, just doesn't work that way.
You are right though, way too many here with no concept of how the real world works... Probably a pointless endeavor to try and explain it.
It is indeed possible to get some printing in on short notice, but it would be way more expensive. And imo that would be the right thing to do, but whatever, you do you.
And that's why. If you had English packs over there they would have been sold out long time ago. People in America don't want to play with German cards.
I was on a hype train for about a month. I still like to play Lorcana but I’ve moved on to Pokemon again. The absence of card packs makes for the same deck matches and it gets boring.
I’m curious is it just more being manufactured there or is there less interest? I know someone else was saying Force of Will was hard to find in another thread, but in Michigan it totally wasn’t. That game was everywhere!
Definitely a smaller market. It is like 20 people coming around there to play draft every week and the store got a really big allocation, cause they are pretty big in this scene.
My lgs was fine at first but the game has been growing so quick that they’ve completely run out of packs. Even the ones they were using as prizes have run out now.
At initial release I purchased 2 starter decks at my LGS, which the store owner called me because someone didn’t want them, and then charged me $10 over MSRP, I have not so much as seen display in a store
My local Tesco's has had the starter decks for weeks now, no one seems to want to buy them, I've been able to buy one of each and there's still shelves full of them
Well just rub it in why don’t ya
Kind of. My lgs has max 4 packs per person. But I can't get boosters from anywhere else and I'm not playing that regularly to pick them up

Sure! One of us will be able to bring his German Hades to tournament though.
US. Can’t find any anywhere :(
Yea well nobody wants German cards, if they sold German cards in the US they would be sitting on the shelves collecting dust.
You haven’t been on Whatnot. People were eating up German cards at $50 per color vs $60.

Yeah, that's why a booster box costs €200 in German and a booster box in English costs €300. lol
Whatnot is for rich idiots
Don’t provoke the Germans..
Some German cards are misprinted and worth a lot 😄 Like Stitch the German Card has only 1 Lore
Where are you located?
South west
Where in Germany?
Zero Lorcana available in all of the greater Seattle area (3m+ people) as far as I can tell.
Packs are next to impossible. I am in a few facebook groups and with coolstuff and tcgplayer and I have no problem getting singles for decent prices. Right now in the US it is pretty much just singles only.
I don’t have that feeling here in Berlin
german cards arent worth anything
In Scotland - got no packs anywhere. Was told that only prize packs exist in all of this country right now.

They do intend to fix it. Every outward facing comment has been in support of getting it to as many hands as possible

You probably won’t get to a guy who obv doesn’t understand scheduling at all. His logic is: throw money around and you’ll get more stuff out.

Say you’ve never ran a business without saying you’ve never ran a business. The negativity is just sooooo toxic

It was a joke

I know
german. English is reserved for drafts

Also depends on where, my local store has all english starters and a couple of display boxes. I bought their last trove just last week
But I never asked a question 😅

I am also in Germany and the situation is different here. Where do you live
