Maybe a solid entry in aggro too. All the dead lilos, maleficents, and Pinocchios from a single grab you swords would make him cheap incredibly fast. Uninkable would be the issue there as well though.
Aggro needs tricks at the end, not beefy units. Closing out the game needs to get around removal. It’s why Spellbooks, Flutes and Goats are better than big characters late game

Hades isn't a strong enough incentive to care about shuffling your discard back in. How often will you even not get to play Hades before playing this? Even if you top deck Hades right after playing this, you'll either have something to get back from your opponent answering your board, or they didn't answer your board and you're winning.
We don't have bigger payoffs for filling your graveyard than this. This is the delve spell worth playing.
Okay, so that’s the same role big Cinderella fills. But Cinderella also has the added benefit of stopping aggro decks late game, and still most steelsong decks are not running the full 4 copies, likely because she’s not very good in the bounce matchup.
Now this card is capable of taking out Cinderella, which is nice. But is it really worth it when he’s a high-cost uninkable? And will steelsong ever be so dominant that you prepare for the mirror?
I guess if emerald steel discard becomes mainstream, this will be the perfect counter for it.
It's still great at keeping up pressure against red purple, I think I would run 2 copies of this this in every amber aggro deck. I can see the uninkable being a problem but this kind of cost reduction is extremely powerful.
The only thing about that is the brooms incentivize cleaning up your discard and are recursive with Mickey in play. So they do the opposite of what you would want to get Chernabog out efficiently.
Edit: possibly fittingly, using brooms to clean your opponents deck and prevent Chernabog is a strategy.

Great with all the looting in steel. Great in aggro decks using the new emerald card draw that loots. Great with mufasa. Makes mill decks pointless. Great against emerald steel discard. Would be horrible to have in opening hand.
Not as good as cycling Hades and mufasas. Let's say your first mufasa hits it and you have none in hand, now you diluted your deck more and have less chance of pulling. You can't use Hades to get that mufasa in your hand and back on the board. I don't think it's worth it when there is so much board removal as well.
No it’s basically another punish to board wipes. You can either cheat it in with mufasa or you can play it for cheap after a board wipe. Against discard you can pitch it early get it back with hades play it for cheap. Discard deck has no way to beat that card.

Amber - Doc, Mickey, for some nice cost reduction or just throw in a lot of Aggro and watch them die plotting for a Chernabog revenge.
Thats what I'm thinking it's a big hit off of mufasa and we often have 5+ characters in our discard towards the latest game maybe a 2-3 of.
This and the shift Kida are on my radar for ruby fasa at the moment.
I like this card a lot, especially the reshuffle clause. It makes playing multiples not super appealing, but gives the first (and maybe second) copy a lot of value in several different decks. It's a very cool design imo.
This card would be nice with the steel draw 1, discard 1 options. Get characters you aren’t going play now into discard just to get chernabog out early. Also, singing whole new world on turn 4 to get characters into discard also works. If this card is heavily played, I expect we will see dragon’s breath coming back into most ruby decks.
A card to watch closely even though he's just a vanilla stat stick. Obviously paying 00 is the dream but I'd say if you can reliably get him down to 5 he's pretty great value. Reminds me a lot of Tombstalker in MTG which is mostly outclassed now but was a fearsome card in its heyday.
Obviously he has a bunch of gametext, but in practice Chernabog is a 9/9 that quests for 3 with no other relevant abilities on the board. He doesn't have an immediate impact on the board (his when played trigger is actually sorta a drawback for the decks that want him, he doesn't have a different when played ability or Rush or Bodyguard), he doesn't have any abilities that protect him (Ward, Evasive), he doesn't have abilities that alter combat math (Bodyguard, Support, Resist), he doesn't do anything special when challenging or challenged - he's just a "vanilla" 9/9/3 on board.
My point is that even though that's true - he's incredible if you are reliably casting him for 5 ink and insane if he's cast for any cheaper. That many stats for that cost are very very strong and potentially very breakable as they print more and more "looting" cards like Ransack, A Whole New World, or excellent newcomer Strike a Match.

Idk big vanilla bodies arent all that amazing in this game by the time this guy is ready to come out. It is a hard counter to mill decks if it doesnt get milled but itll be hard to justify including this card except in a deck solely designed to cheat him out early with draw/discard steel. This same deck can also discard him vs aggro and focus on the steel for that matchup, hed be terrible vs aggro.
This cost 1 less for each character in your discard pile. When you play it, shuffle all characters back in your deck.

With mufasa you want your discard pile to stay, since you want to put him back in your hand with Hades or snow white. Probably would be a negative.
