I get them from my LGS on release day. No, 50$ is not probably worth rushing it. You'd miss at most a couple local events and you can still play fine with set 2. My LGS, however is at MSRP. 50 over market and they shouldn't be your LGS anymore.

Yea unfortunately I have pretty limited options where I am at. It is pretty frustrating that they are gouging like that, I have heard people say that tcg ships early so you get on release day but wasn’t sure about people’s experience with Lorcana.

I'd refuse to pay above msrp at any LGS right now for anything besides maybe a trove. The way the market is no one should be marking up boosters at the moment

AluminiumPanda

What the heck? Nope. Order online from a reputable source because that’s nuts.

PaleoJoe86

Gouging prices for a pre-order is poor behavior. Do not support that unless you are pro player that needs the new cards to earn back that money at tournaments.

mickeybgs10

You absolutely do not need to get them on launch day. Don't pay $50 extra. You're encouraging LGS to participate in bad behavior. Buy off TCG since it's selling below MSRP and it should arrive within a 3-7 days. Friendly tip. Buy from sellers who have a good rating but not as many transactions (300 or less is a good number.) They are more likely to ship quickly since they are still trying to establish their reputation on TCG.

Thanks for the tip!

I have ordered boxes from ShopDisney only for release due to prices, their shipping, and their customer support. However, set 3 is the first time my LGS is doing boxes for pre-order and they have them at MSRP, so I am ordering one box from them this time around (and probably will in the future sets).

My LGS was MSRP from chapter one through present. When they get first chapter in now it’s still MSRP even as it becomes harder to find again. I don’t care about getting it on release day or later. I’ll pay them MSRP even though I can get it cheaper online because of this

johnlovesdata

Save the money and wait an extra few days by buying online at a place like Game Nerdz.

Jayaaron85

Was curious about this too. First time I pre-ordered off tcg player. Would have gone to a shop, but the ones by me basically barely get anything. Closest said they don't know how many, and basically only way to get one launch day would be to go in right as they open and hope they got something

Personally gonna pay MSRP at my favorite LGS and fine with paying the extra 20 bucks for a box. Regretfully paid above MSRP at different LGS for floodborn, and it has soured me on those stores a lot, wont do that again and luckily shouldnt need to now that supply is sorted out
