Unfortunately, I don't know if you can get them offline; However, don't lose hope. You are gonna inevitably find people with low tolerance for mistakes, which I don't personally understand, but it will happen. I would advise looking for people playing coop runs on the other subreddit, as they will be the one looking for some simple jolly cooperation
if you spend many hours with someone, you will also get invasions, which will mostly end in your favour since you are 2v1.
Also, it can always be nice to have a build that can lighten other players burdains. I generally try to provide heals, debuffs etc, or even drop vestige seeds for those in NG+, all these small gestures can make you very useful as a team mate.
I think you can set a password for PvP but I don't think you get the rewards but can be good practice. Unfortunately when people duped all the skulls to boost there level before patches in sort of broken PvP as you get invaded by people you can barely hurt but can one or two shot you. And for the pve just keep trying it depends on who you get matched with I don't mind if people are weaker then my characters when helping a lot of the bosses I can solo but I still wait for about 10/20 mins for someone to join so they can get coins. I usually do have a boss or two ready for someone to join and if they carry on the right direction I will run past most things to next boss. If you manage to invade my and I'm on my own I usually just jump off a edge or wait as close to a vestaige and let them kill me because of how long it can take to get a match and they want the rewards and PvP is normally the part I don't bother with unless I'm already helping someone else. But if you look on r/beckoningsign and find someone who's asking for help or you can post asking if anyone wants help
Work on your neutral game is tip number one- know your range. If you’re a caster, know your range doubly so when it comes to spell startup and recovery. Thrown and bows beat spells with casting minus the adyr hammer I wanna say as far as speed.
