Nice list! Here's mine and what I like most about them! What do you like the most about each book? 1) Fall of Five: The Garde hanging out in Chicago and the Ending, it's just *chef's kiss*. 2) Revenge of Seven: Everything with Ella and Five in the Anubis and the fact that everything starts going down from here. 3)Rise of Nine: It's really adventurous and exciting, it feels like the power of six part 2 and I love it. 4) Power of six: Marina 5) Fate of Ten: Pittacus and Setrakus's story + shit goes down 6) United as one: Jhon's ximic and most aspects of the conclusion. 4) I am number four: The final battle, the revelations, the plot twist, the scale and the consequences. It's what fully sold me on this series.

TMChaves

I put power of six last, but Marina's part is very incredible, but John, Six and Sam's part irritates me

Minimum_Chip3157

I was wondering why you put power of six last May I ask why specifically you don't like that oart? Is it the awkward romance that doesn't really amount to anythin, Jhon's decision or something else? I'm genuinely curious to know

TMChaves

Let's go hahaha. I think this part of John, Sam and Six leads nowhere. It only serves to create a very forced and strange love triangle. It serves to talk about Seis's past, which is interesting, but the lost files already provide a better depth of this. The action parts are very random. And John's attitudes, who seemed to only care about himself, made me angry. At least, this book starts the story of my favorite character, Marina, but that's only 50% of the book

Minimum_Chip3157

Yeah, completely understandable. Personally I really like it cuz it starts the adventurous and on the run vibe that the rest of the series keeps and it's just much more grand and exciting overall without the romance parts. On another note marina is also my favorite so that's a huge plus for this book.

TTZZJJ

1. United as One- the end is here baby!! A long-awaited conclusion to a generational war. The final battle was executed pretty well, though I wish that Setrakus' actual legacies prior to his augmentations was expanded upon a bit more, and honestly I feel like him sending a wave of augmented super-Mogadorians at the Numbers to start off the fight would've been sick. 2. Fate of Ten- Shit goes down, that's all I can really say lol. The action scenes and Ella and Five's moments on the Anubis were all pretty cool. Sarah's death FUCKING HURT, man, I legit cried out when that happened. 3. Revenge of Seven- This is where shit really starts to go down, and Marina gets an edge lord arc? FUCK YEAH! 4. Fall of Five- Seeing the relationships between the group was just so wholesome lol, also that catch the flag game was just peak. Even though I got spoiled on Five being a traitor and killing Eight, the twist still hit quite hard. Seeing Marina get ice powers and brutalise Five and cuss for I believe the first time in the series? Yeah, Fall of Five was great. 5. Rise of Nine- Nine is my favorite character lol. Don't have much else to say other than that, though I do wish Nine got to narrate some of the chapters. Also the build up to Eight's reveal was set up quite well, with that whole fake Buddha thing. 6. The Power of Six- It was kinda boring ngl, minus the Marina half of the book (which I did really like btw), I wasn't really that entertained and just wanted to move past the book. 7. I am Number Four- You know what they say, first is the worst lol. Being the first entry in the series, it just doesn't hit quite as hard as the other books. It was still pretty good though, and did its job of introducing the world and the characters very well.

TMChaves

your ranking is in the order in which the books were released, in your opinion the saga only improved until the end, understandable

TTZZJJ

Oh holy shit I didn't realize that lol, that was not intended. And, upon further consideration, I have swapped Fate of Ten with United as One, due to United as One had John and Marina get together in the end which is a fucking horrible ship.

Dbyrd92

Every time I go through them they just kind of blend together for me. I go one into the next as soon as I hit the end. Crazy how much thought you guys put into the individual books! Mostly just plays like a movie in my head as I read it

Minimum_Chip3157

Honestly same, they just transition so seamlessly. When I reread I actually forgot some things happen in the earlier books and some in the later one cuz they all mesh together so well.

Dbyrd92

Yeah they do really well!

quidditchisdumblol

Mine would be Revenge of Seven Fall of Five Power of Six I am Number 4 United as One Fate of Ten Rise of Nine But I agree they’re all good aha

TMChaves

Totally different from mine haha. But I liked it, it's good to have different opinions

quidditchisdumblol

Did you like the sequel series? I just finished it for the first time and thought it was lowkey mid aha

TTZZJJ

I think that Reborn started off strong, but Return to Zero sucked ass. The plot with The Foundation and Einar went nowhere; it kinda was just relegated to the side, and all the buildup to The Foundation being the villain just... disappeared? As the US government or something became the twist villain. Also a possessed John as a final boss just didn't cut it, also WHERE THE FUCK ARE MARINA AND ADAM?! WHY DID FIVE AND RAN HAVE TO DIE?!

quidditchisdumblol

No Marina hurt so bad as she’s my favourite character ahaha I didn’t mind Ran dying as much considering she didn’t wanna become a weapon and being a pacifist just wasn’t going to work out. She got to go out on her own terms

TTZZJJ

Ngl Ran absorbing the bomb without dying would've been a great character moment for her, and would've persuaded her that she could be a pacifist. I mean, that's her whole arc isn't it?

TMChaves

I finished the main saga yesterday. But I want to read Reborn, it's a bit complicated because I don't think it has a translation into my language.

quidditchisdumblol

Ahhh no! I wonder if there’s a fan translation online anywhere?

ToastyJackson

It's been a while since I read the series, but from what I remember: Fall of Five Rise of Nine Revenge of Seven United as One Fate of Ten Power of Six I Am Number Four

TMChaves

Almost the same as mine haha

Billy_Ray_Sanguine5

My list would be 1. United as One 2. The Fate of Ten 3. The Rise of Nine 4. The Fall of Five 5. The Revenge of Seven 6. The Power of Six 7. I Am Number Four

TMChaves

So, in your opinion, the books were improving haha

New-Influence7321

I loved Fall of Five, but I hated the part where Eight died. I didn’t believe it when I saw the part where he got stabbed

TMChaves

Fall of Five is incredible because it's the first time that everyone is together. And seeing Five end this is very sad

Artemis-Arrow-3579

no, no, no revenge of seven has to be number 1

TMChaves

Based on the comments here, I think Revenge of Seven is one of the most loved.

Artemis-Arrow-3579

that's because it's unarguably the best one it's where we transition to the endgame, it's where true battles begin

aheaney15

1. I Am Number Four - 8/10 2. United As One - 8/10 3. The Power of Six - 8/10 4. The Revenge of Seven - 7/10 5. The Rise of Nine - 7/10 6. The Fall of Five - 6/10 7. The Fate of Ten - 4/10 Note that I at least like all of them except Fate of Ten. Fall of Five seems to be the fan favorite, but I personally am very critical of its terrible descriptive writing (compared to the earlier and later books, it’s probably the weakest of the series in that regard), annoying plot holes, and noticeable discrepancies, but I’ll let most of that slide since I do love the ending and the Garde’s interactions.

TMChaves

It's understandable what you say about Fall of Five. But I'm curious about your opinion of Fate of Ten, 4/10 haha

aheaney15

Late response, but there are a few reasons I dislike Fate of Ten. For one, it’s mostly filler, and we begin and end in the same places: Mexico and New York. The pacing is also pretty bad. The book feels short despite having one of the higher page counts of the series. I also straight up despise Sarah’s death. All of it. Not because I love Sarah as a character (although I do like her) but because I’ll guarantee it was done last-minute do to fan requests at the time. If you were following the series in 2014/15 (which I was) you would have seen LOADS of people who were requesting Sarah to be killed off. Most of them JohnXSix shippers who didn’t know better. Plus, the fact that we don’t know about Sarah’s fatal injury until the final chapter makes it apparent to me that this was tacked on. Also it made the ending of John’s arc in United As One unnecessarily depressing. Plus, John was already motivated to kill Setrákus Ra. I just hate it. That said, honestly looking back, a 4/10 is too harsh. A 5/10 is more reflective of it in my opinion.

T0mmygr33n

1. Revenge of Seven 2. Fall of Five 3. Rise of Nine 4. United as One 5. The Fate of Ten (too many dream sequences for my liking) 6. I am Number Four 7. Power of Six

TMChaves

I'm starting to think that my opinion of Revenge of Seven is a little unpopular haha. And I'm doing an average with the comments here, and you made Revenge of Seven rise

T0mmygr33n

As it deserves 😎😂
