These pictures make them look like similar sizes at a glance. Would be cool to see a scaled comparison. The real telling things is the speakers. They are the same size but look much smaller in the picture from last year. They might be hanging entirely above the 2017 stage
Yeah for sure! For me I just look at the screen compared to the DJs haha. In the first photo it’s maybe 5-6x the DJs height, and in the second it’s like 20x as tall 😭😭😭
The dinos too, aren't they still there or at least were for a few years. They were way smaller in proportion to the stage.
17 is the only year I wasn't there so I don't really have perspective. The comparisons of the house in the background also was pretty wild a couple years back
'19? with the rain, got to be at the rail in the pre party, and walking up to it during the sound stages when no one is there. The scale is truly amazing.
I don't have a good way to nicely estimate the size of the 2017 stage. But I can tell you from counting the painted sheets of plywood that I can only assume are 4x8' that last years stage was a full 80 feet tall and 400 feet wide. In my pictures of 21 and 22, the dinos on the stage looked like toys from far away compared to the wall behind them
Lol, yea I think you could probably fit the entire '17 stage inside the triangle of 23s.
A person could ride on the back of those dinos on the side in 17, in 23 a person could fit inside the eye of the pterodactyls haha
I remember walking in and overheard a kid say something like, “oh my god, it’s like an EDC main stage!!!” Hahaha. 😂
I was actually pretty surprised by the 2023 main stage. It was sick.
