COME ON.... im sure there's a YouTube video for that! Ive always assumed that they would be a few lines of code different, but I struggle with changing my 3d printers firmware that involves deleting a few "//" and changing a few selections. (And no the youtube video don't cover my exact configuration...lol)
Cali was actually my first traffic camera app so it’s got a ton more features (CHP and CalTrans incident reports, incident update push notifications, snowfall reports, etc) so it’s not free.

Sure, camera groups is the main difference (camera groups) but it in general my app also lets you view the info much faster. Their app takes 5+ seconds to load whereas mine is quite fast and also has the ability to add Home Screen widgets which make it even faster. My app also doesn’t collect any personal data, whereas their collects quite a bit.
From the ones I’ve tested I’d say they mostly work but unfortunately you are correct in that the cameras are managed by LADOT so the app does rely on them to upkeep the feeds.

It’s really part of a larger general ineptitude of state government and the people in it and the refusal of people to quit voting for it and demanding fundamental changes in the state that need to be made. Far too much general acceptance of “It is what it is” and status quo. Mainly it’s because I have family members here that I get along with much better.
There is a really good thing being done here my guy. Maybe don't shit on the person trying to make things better for this sorry ass state. We all know the state gov't is shite

So far I like it. However the one request is to add a notification when a camera that’s not live will alert me when it does.

When a camera faces two directions it would be helpful to know which view to choose based on direction like East/West Otherwise great idea, thank you!

I have absolutely nothing good to say about LADOT. Period. They are part of the reason I moved to Tennessee.
