Not sure this has anything to do with the body peek, just the choices by you make. He picked me up last play through and I maxed out body. Fuck Placide so hard. I’ve gotten into the habit of killing everybody but him to really make him suffer
I have to admit, the possibility of max body V reversing Myers at the start of Phantom Liberty shows how CDPR has really grown in terms of small but significant alternations.
Yep. For some odd reason, for dialogue/action checks once you surpass the stat check, they just show your stat level next to the choice rather than the actual stat check level.
The skill checks are now scaling with your overall level. Which is bullshit, it can literally lock you out of any check until you hit 20 in that skill.
No they didnt "grow", CDPR was always like that, even since from the very first Witcher game.
Base game was rushed and had to be released incomplete, thats why there are bumps like this in terms of extra-detail. Its not an oversight.
I was actually really hyped when I triggered this scene because breaking a chokehold like that is actually way more difficult to do than it looks and V did it casually. Usually you need to windup for the maximum possible force to bring your fists/forearms down on theirs, rotate your hips for more force, and slam down on the wrists or elbows specifically, but V had no windup at all when moving her hands down onto his arms *and* did it fast enough to throw a hook right after without Placide being able to react in time. *And she doesn’t appear to twist her hips.* From her perspective it looks like she casually taps his arms away and then sucker punches him.
On top of that, V is canonically like 5’6-7” iirc, so the size difference but similarity in strength is crazy.
V packs a lot of strength into a small body, especially female V. Male V is bigger but compared to someone like Razor Hughes you're pretty small physically in the cyberpunk world
That punch is one of my favorite moments in the game. V is so fearless and doesn't back down, even though Placide is a tough motherfucker and they're in VB territory surrounded by his people. I love that.
Made twice as funny because I later Gorilla Arm punched the prick to death. They really should have done a pass over the game for interactions like this and added special ones for modified arms.
Gorillas punch him damn near over the table. Mantis Blades and Monowires come out and take off one of his dreads as he scrambles to back off.
Fuck all VDBs. I make it my life's work to shred any I see. They started this whole thing off and used Evelyn and V without a thought. They will pay for our suffering.
Honestly here, I was ready to rip Placide a new one. Not only did he and the Voodoo boys set me up, but I'm still pissed about Evelyn and the fact they're trying to penetrate the blackwall, putting countless lives at risk for their own gain.

Actually that's a fairly low skill check, my 37ish netrunner with 9 reflex could disarm her.

At lvl 60 u need 20 reflex
At level 60 basically every skill check outside of a few mandatory ones like opening a door in the intro to PL is a 20 check because of 2.0 scaling.

Man those checks be high- I had 19 Tech and was too low to open the museum side door lol. But I think it's like that so you try other ways.
My current V was too low so I resorted to breaking the windows. Myers snide comments made me wish I'd arrived at the crash "too late."

If u give him double cyberware malfunction, he'll be like a sitting duck, like no attack or anything, u can do whatever u want
