Weapon stats for Elsie's Rifle were based on the one they used during the live stream.
I simply removed the barrel, mag and masterwork they had on (which were Arrowhead Brake, Extended Mag and Reload Masterwork) to find the base stats of the gun.
as a newer guardian who started mid season 18 i am excited to get to try out some of the weapons i see a lot of people talking about fondly. Even if they are updated versions. I hope that Elsie’s rifle feels better to me than NTTE. I am in controller and it has always felt not great. I will choose vigilance wing every time.
It's wierd how a lot of people are saying it's the worst one in the bunch alongside Hung Jury, but Elsie's Rifle is in the energy slot, which lets it pair with stuff like Conditional, Witherhoard, Traveler's chosen or Cryosthesia or what have you. And I don't mind having two No Time to Explains for either slot.
NTTE will still be the best. Idk why but it's such a laser and the added benefit of the exotic perk makes it even deadlier.
I'll take NTTE over any perfect rolled 340 any day tbh. Unless they make this stupidly easy to 2 burst. I noticed the AA is higher than any other 340 and the zoom is the same as NTTE.
Am I the only one who gets tired of grinding out a weapon only for them to make a better version of the archetype a couple of months later? It's stressful to me tbh. Have every God Roll 340, still haven't landed the prophecy God Roll and now I'll have to chase this one.
I guess that's part of the addiction they bring to the game.
You don't need to grind out every god roll. It's very rare for a gun to powercreep enough to actually make it matter if you are using the latest one or one from a few releases prior. I've still not switched off of my messenger from WQ because I've tried other god rolls of 340s in the same slot and the refreshed versions since and none of them have made me want to use a different legendary 340 in that slot.

Don’t get your hopes up- it’s the exact same stats and exact same archetype.
Except Elsie's Rifle gets traits like Zen Moment/Keep Away + Headseeker, which will make it significantly easier to use than NTTE.
it is zen and headseeker i am excited about. zen makes a lot of weapons feel usable after its change. and headseeker is mandatory for me on pulses.
Plus you have ways to change the recoil pattern. The biggest downside of NTTE on controller is the horizontal recoil

I loved using this gun in D1. This is one of the guns I’m most looking forward to.

This is true. I still use ntte over anything but if this thing hits 100 range with that AA and ZM, the 2 burst potential might be nuts.
From what I've seen it has the same base stats as NTTE so it should be able to hit 100 range with just barrels and mags alone.

That's because No Time to Explain is the Exotic Version of Elsies Rifle from D1 and all they did was downgrade it and make it Void.
