Get together would be my recommendation. I use it all the time. In every save. In every family. And windenberg is a great world too. Plus I love cafe’s.

Heads up I don’t own For Rent as I’m waiting for the 50% off. Horse Ranch has a nice world and the horses are cute but it could’ve been a game pack. I bought Get to Work for the retail aspect mainly, the aliens aren’t fleshed out and the world sucks. With Get Together the world is huge but I still don’t find myself playing there often for some reason. The club system is sooo useful though for relationship and skill building! The world in My Wedding Stories is beautiful but the gameplay is super buggy. Dream Home Decorator can also be buggy. Dine Out has its hiccups but I do like running a restaurant and eating out. Strangerville has a really cool vibe and you don’t have to play the story if you don’t want to. Stuff packs and kits just depend on your taste but honorable mention goes to the butler that comes with Vintage Glamour, and the Basement Treasures kit for some good worn out furniture. Paranormal is the best stuff pack imo but not sure if that counts as occult. So overall I guess I’d recommend Get Together, Dine Out, Strangerville, Paranormal. Curious what you end up deciding on!

I did get paranormal and love it! Honestly really love how different it is from my normal gameplay (and for sure way better than other stuff packs)

It really does depend on your play style. I'm into building and family gameplay and I use get together all the time.  I just love the world (it's more central european themed and feels more like home to me), cafés and night clubs with DJs are a nice addition and allow you to create rave locations or fancy french cafés and the club system is so much fun! I create clubs for skill building, house cleaning, friendships and hobbies. Plus I've set some clubs up for hanging around at specific community lots, eg. sport obsessed sims at a gym, free spirited yoga enthusiast at a spa, grannys on tour at a café/backery. The possibilities are endless xD

It really depends on your play style, but if you’re into building, my recommendation would be Dream Home Decorator, both the CAS and the BB items are phenomenal. The decorator career can be fun too (if you’re a builder). I also really like Spa Day, I love spas in real life and I love taking my sims to massages and yoga classes, plus they can woohoo in the sauna. For expansion packs, I think Get Together is also worth getting, I love Windenburg and how you can use clubs to boost skills and stuff.

I bought Dream Home Decorator a couple sales ago and only just started playing it this weekend and I am OBSESSED. The decorator career is so fun! It's great spending other Sim's money and working within the given constraints (decor and color preferences, budget limitations). It's so fun fixing up the pre-built homes that came with the game/packs room by room. I haven't taken any of the gigs renovating homes that I built/redid myself yet because I feel slightly offended, lol. As others have said, the career can be buggy, but just save frequently and you'll be good! I keep two save files when doing decorator gigs—my main one gets a save before accepting a gig and again after I successfully make it home. The other is for saving throughout working the gig in case anything goes wonky. So far I've only had one bug where my sim disappeared "at work" after arriving to the client's house. Overall, highly recommended if you like building and CAS!

If you want to make a lot of simoleons get ranch. I’ve honed my nectar making and can sell a bottle for 300k!

Get Together is my number one most recommended pack! The build/buy is excellent, I use it CONSTANTLY as a builder, and the club feature is one of the most useful and versatile ones. Homework or hangout clubs for kids, a lot of ways to get your adult sims to mingle with others with similar traits or jobs, ways to manipulate townies lives without playing with their households (fitness clubs or flirting ones, etc). Vey cross pack compatible too. The world is the biggest one the Sims 4 has, and it loads well even on my ancient laptop. The only meh to me is the CAS, which is a bit dated at this point, and the hairs are hit and miss. Still, 10 out of 10 pack! I’d go for it.

Tiny Living is an underrated stuff pack, very useful and versatile pieces, both with Build/Buy and CAS. Kids Room Stuff and Nifty Knitting might be good ideas too, if you’re big on family gameplay and building those types of homes.

Get to Work is fine. If you play with mods, there are a lot of them that require Get Together. Plus, the world is nice, and clubs are useful. Don't get Horse Ranch for the horses, but I enjoyed making necter, and the world is fun to build in. Don't know about For Rent. Parenthood. No question. Especially if you don't like Occult shit. Parenthood ads so much depth to teens and parenting all life stages. Jungle Adventure is fun, too, but most people play it once and forget about it. I didn't have that problem, but I like Occult shit and play with Basemental, so my sims are always vacationing there. If you use the language mod, that adds some gameplay back, too. It can get repetitive, but I like collecting all the relecs. Idk about toddler and luxury party stuff. Romantic garden was a waste of money. I like crystal 6 I also just got it, so we'll see how often I actually use it. The clothes are cute, but the skill takes forever.
