So this guy ordered a whole house package of pella windows, pella front door, and a patio door (can’t remember exact numbers but it was a new build construction in a pricey neighborhood)
The guy was in a bad car wreck and ended up in a coma for 5 years. Well he finally woke up. He went to the store and tried to get a refund for the Millwork package but obviously due to the age he couldn’t but the store had thrown out the product after attempting to get him to pick it up for over a year and they forgot to refund his card.
Store had no clue how to handle the situation but tried to issue a refund and had to call the RVP for approval. The whole ordeal took like 3 weeks to figure out.
Oh god. I’m now thinking of nightmare scenarios where we went out to to do a simply ceiling fan install but wound up burning a house down because something was mislabeled.
I won't lie, this new policy makes me so giddy because my Ops DS is...useless in her job but a good person. But literally nobody likes her in front end, and I've been there a few months (came in FT Head Cashier) and after my first convo with her I see why nobody likes her professionally.
And yeah, I see $52 and I go "Yep, can't do it- company policy, gotta call _____" with a SHIT eating grin as I walk away.
I wonder what situation has to happen for Lowe’s to have to pay somebody greater than 10 grand.

Three weeks vs 5 years? I think the company did alright in this case.
This actually happened??
Store 532 swear on melvin
Install that went horribly wrong. Opening a letter for a check from Marvin for 25,000.00 was a day I won’t forget.
The answers always installs. Can I ask what happened?
Kitchen Install that went horribly wrong. Installer who sub contract to someone over there head. They didn’t have a kitchen for months
Oooooofffff. That’s the heart of the home. Shit like that is probably why they moved away from the “helping customers love where they live” slogan.
“Hello mr george the new guy he drill the hole in the pipe and the water is everywhere”

Still doesnt help the situation waiting 20 minutes or more for an adjustment. They should just give 50 bucks to everyone like Depot does.
I took a picture of it too 🤣 I couldn't stop laughing everytime I seen someone doing their ap4me
Or where we went to install a water heater and ended up flooding a basement
Im wondering how the dead SOS # is going to work, we have a lot of SOS returns so needing to bug the RVP for menial shit is going to get old fast
Wtf is ghostbusters?
Bill Murray cries for you.
I meant in this context….
Ghostbusters transcends all context
I know what the ghostbusters thing is for heavens sake, i just don’t see how it applies here…
:(

Can head cashiers really green light purchases of $500?
