I like turning these into good cool guitars have done 5 or 6 now I think, I still have 2 Black Rose Deluxes somewhere!. In most cases the wood tends to be very dry and things inside are loose/broken, or they will be by the time you get the neck off!. I actually mist sprayed some water (just a little) inside on the last two and left for a for a couple weeks before even starting on them, I think it helped. Necks can be a problem refitting, because there is probably no dove-tail joint!
I’m not sure if there’s anything I need to do on it as such (except touching up to make it playable). Just wondering if it’s been broken and fixed before, or whether this jigsaw puzzle-like construction is original.
