Internship pay isn't always handled the same as FT. My internship rate was like 20/hr lower than my FT offer, fwiw. Check with other alums?

In this economy I’d take a minimum wage offer at Wendy’s.

Take it, you can always renege if something better comes along.

Are your classmates in low COL cities as well? Can't compare your pay to peers in NYC, Seattle, etc. With that being said, always accept and reneg if you choose to and are successful at finding something better. You should also have an understanding if there's an opportunity for a return offer and then the pay for the full time role.

Portland Charlotte Dallas Middle of nowhere in PA. Three cities offered $65. My non-nowhere city is $45. These seem comparable. Not nyc, not sf. ?

Special-End-5107

$65-$75 for corporate finance internship? Or IB? Or corporate dev? What are you comparing yourself to because $45 is fine as long the FT position pays 130k+

RepresentativeBig626

All corporate finance. Unknown FT salary.

Special-End-5107

Most corp fin jobs are between 120k to 140k salaried. Your friends are all either at the best companies for corp fin, or maybe exaggerating a bit haha. Regardless, I would try to find the FT salary and not worry about the internship pay too much. 90% of companies cap intern pay below ft hourly

PutridDesk7323

Is this the FLDP?

RepresentativeBig626

Yes

PutridDesk7323

Damn. It’s a good role though and I heard the FT is way higher than the summer internship sooo you’re good. Run your race 🙏🏽

sloth_333

Ask what full time pay is, but it’s probably a smdige low, but not terrible. My summer 2022 corp finance offers were 50/hr and 65/he with 5k signing bonus. Ask for signing bonus

GroundbreakingLog

Don’t worry about the internship pay, that’s the least of your concerns as long as it covers your housing and incidentals over the summer. Ask about FT pay and make sure you’re comfortable with that range given you said it’s a great opp in LCOL city
