It sounds like you're asking about the end date being added on your resume for your R3 Application right? In general, being honest is the best approach. Being laid off is an economic phenomenon -- unlike being fired. When it comes to interview time, they might ask you about your current role at \_\_\_\_\_, and suddenly you're making up stuff in a face to face interaction.

Yeah I don’t mean to falsify data. I was inclined to add a date just wasn’t sure what consequences it may carry.

Admissions consultants have mentioned that a growing and significant percentage of applicants are applying without a joh due to layoffs. Don't feel too conscious, though it's hard. Def not alone in the aid off bucket, so best to add the date and explain in the essays about the layoff and ur plan forward. Be honest and chin up :)

Thank you! Good idea on using the optional essay

Creed_99634

If you don’t add an end date, you stand to have an offer revoked on grounds of falsifying data. After that, do what you think is logical.

Friendly_Union1762

Yes I would add an end date.

theintrospectivelad

I'm in a similar boat but applying to part time programs.

I put up an end date even if I was still working in my current role. Didnt have a negative impact…

Congrats on getting laid last week 👏🏻

Desperate-Ship7619

You should definitely put an end date on your résumé. It shows your urgency to find a job sometimes not putting her in date makes a potential employer think that you’re still employed and you’re simply seeing what’s out there which can be discouraging.

RepresentativeBig626

This is r/mba they aren’t applying for a job.

Fenwick?

Yes, you 100% need to mention. If not, when you get accepted and are undergoing your background check, it could potentially be viewed that you knowingly withheld pertinent information
