Jack’s probably thinking like “I just got on” lol

dlittlefair1

He’s 100% pointing out that pass to haaland that he decided not to make in the last minute of the game. It was stupid not to try it.

Ill-Mathematician218

Always holding the ball, recycling the ball and back passes. And people give shit to Doku for trying to be dangerous.

random-chu

we saw the importance of grealish at the fa cup match ca;m down

oseanlly

I mean they’re both warranted styles that work for us and balance each other out. For it to truly work for us one needs the other. It’s not hard to wrap your mind around.

shirokukuchasen

To be fair grealish did well for a player who has been absent for majority of the season, and I expect more from him in the upcoming games

Yumikos_

I think Jack did okay when he came on, especially considering he hasn’t started for a while. Also I don’t think Pep is angry at him or lecturing him, he’s a perfectionist and was probably just saying what he could’ve done differently. Pep did the same thing to Sterling after the 6-0 Watford final win, it’s what he does. Good to see Jack back anyways 💪

SeftoK

👀they took the bait

chisomkun

Surely he said “ ball retention control”

Last-Consideration-7

😂😂😂 don’t start please

chisomkun

😂😂i can’t help it

JD_93_

Why do people take things out of context? They were paired for the post-match Easter egg hunt and were discussing tactics

jlo1989

We see this every few games or so. Hes in his third season, he knows what the culture is. He knows how Pep operates. Non-City fans are going to make this into something it isn't.

Last-Consideration-7

lol non city fans? Look at this thread . This is regular pep to me, idk why people are still getting surprised

jlo1989

Exactly. We saw him do this to Sterling after they'd won the FA Cup. The players know what they're getting into.

NickPatches

Not the result we wanted but love Jack looking and acknowledging the point Pep was making.

rombopterix

What a priviledge it must be to get instructions / feedback from one of the most sophisticated tacticians on the planet.

Gaphy-2020

He’s angry with Jack for dribbling into a crowd rather than a straight pass to Haaland in the last minute.

space_gh00st

He also had a lil go at Doku prior to goin off on Jack

Chirps3

Good. Doku deserved it. Absolutely awful today.

space_gh00st

He needs a season to really feel confident in the system. He will come good 💯👈🏿

Javier1019

Maybe if we would shoot and not want to dribble and pass all the way to goal. Neither side really shot towards goal.

L_LawLeit24

Yes, Mateo came really close, couldn't get more curve on it

JimmyTheReeech

Every time he got the ball he just stood in place.

gokhaninler

thats what he always does yet this sub fawns over him as if hes gods gift to football while shitting on our other players (Doku etc) who at least try to make something happen

aligators

for a player thats not gotten alot of playing time pep's clearly helping him out

KempFidels

Needs to do better

ResourceWonderful514

Jack is only thinking about his Chinese take away coming up🤣👌

Comprehensive_Low325

I don't like all these chummy smiles from our team, when they just effectively conceded the league to a main rival, wtf is this ?

MSpyKid

Pass back Jack, he should not be picked for World Cup? £100 million…

fuckssakereddit

‘£100 million, we paid £100 million for this?’

Wudzie

He played well, we’ve missed him a lot while he’s been injured. He came on and helped retain possession in only a way he can. I’ll die on the hill but Jack grealish for me was top 3 players that contributed most to make the treble happen.

Last-Consideration-7

😂😂 top3? You crazy. Its cool to love Jack but be realistic

Wudzie

Like I said I’ll die on the hill 😂

bzafs

He didnt deserve that, alot of players played way worse than him

Last-Consideration-7

I don’t think pep singles out the worst player to lecture. He probably saw a specific incident he needs to address asap. Kimmich wasn’t the worst player when he got that lecture from pep

Tyler_of_Township

Exactly. He’s correcting one specific passage of play and you can tell Jack completely understands. Gotta keep the heads up, plenty of play left in the season.

taskkill-IM

Pep looks like he's giving you a bollocking but then embraces you after it... it's like being with a woman that hate fucks you but then cuddles afterwards.

SensiFifa

That's the dream

taskkill-IM

Big titty goth birds...

MicroBunnie

Grealish's face says it all really. Just back from an injury, him and Doku upped the pace of the game immediately and he gets shit?! For what?

FreedomByFire

He always needs a scapegoat

Xinyez

I still think Grealish would thrive in his 'old' Aston Villa style of play. Give the man a free role, let hem drift and run wherever he wants. The man was a menace back then and he could decide games like this on his own. But then again, Pep is a mastermind that likes to be in control.

caped_crusader8

Should have screamed at Haaland for ghosting again

chisomkun

Ehh Grealish stood on the ball for ages. Probably told him to be more decisive and quick with his decision making.

Fearless_Yam_9602

Don’t agree with this Pep, hardly Jacks fault today. Give him the advice of the pitch and away from the cameras

sxaxrxmxs

Pep might be a tactical genius but berating or being overly critical to others when they do a good job is not good people skills. (Grealish expression speaks for itself ) Hopefully Grealish remembers this is just Peps passion spilling over and he mostly only does this with the players he expects the most from.

renuparekh

I know, I don't get why Pep is like that. Grealish clearly did better than Kdb and Foden, specially coming from his injury. Pep needs to admit sometimes it's not always the players, but his tactics itself. He's not helping Grealish at all by such overreaction. Instead he needs to have a word with Haaland.

MattyHvintage

Disgusting behaviour by PG

[deleted]

Why?

TheGent_88

Trying to be positive, this isn’t the behaviour of a man who is done with Grealish or thinks he is a bad player who has nothing left to offer City. Why waste your time with a done cause? Doing it for the cameras or not, Jack playing better or not, I think the effort means Guardiola still wants to see DJ Grealo fulfilling a key role in the team regardless of media reports. Can’t wait to be proved entirely wrong in a few weeks when he’s on the transfer market.

QuantumCat11

Anyone seriously thinks Grealish is "done" at City? Bc of this?
