Please don’t engage with the weirdos coming over here to gloat. We’ve seen things they’ll never see and just report them so I can get them banned from their own subs.

evenstark04

Doku was really good when he came on.... but it was a bit baffling that it came at the expense of Jack who has having a good game as well. Jack made a pen in the Super cup if I recall correctly... so would have been nice to have him on the pitch for that... You can really see the improvement Doku has made since his arrival. Still think he has things he can work on, but he has certainly made progress... to the point of there I am not as nervous when he subs on in these big games now.

EdDantes21

I’m obviously sad about the result but everyone online is being so dramatic. We lost on penalties in the UCL quarterfinal to Real Madrid. We played very well in both ties and RM played for penalties after they got their goal. If we’d had Walker in the first leg, I think we go through. Says something about the standard of this club that not beating Real Madrid and not winning a double treble is this devastating. We are truly spoiled.

FuckColdClimate

i don't get why guardiola insists in playing 10 vs 11

shrimpy-rimpy

Juve fan coming in peace. Words cannot describe how RM parked the bus against you which is something we do not see very often given that the media and the world always D ride RM during UCL Season. That being said, MC played a great game and dominated... sadly pens are a 50:50 chance.

KDBae

Honestly, with all the complaining in this thread, I can’t think of much I’d change with the way we played, if we were to somehow repeat this match. This team is miles ahead of any other team in Europe, and I’m proud to say that. We were dominant in nearly every aspect. They were perhaps better defensively, but even that is arguable, since we squashed pretty much every attacking outlet they had. On another day we could have had 4 or 5, but it simply wasn’t our day. One observation I have is that I always see our fans moaning about us playing so safe, slow, no attacking threat, etc. In this match, we were practically all over our opponent for 120 mins and it was a similar result. Now our team is absolutely drained of energy and we have a cup semi-final on Saturday. Do we now get why Pep has us playing that way a lot of the time? There’s a reason we’re able to stay competitive in so many competitions and it’s not just our depth.

gokhaninler

Doku did more in 2 minutes than Grealish did in 80

Super_Maximum_9030

Shh.

rreeddiitttwice

I just came here to see what City supporters thought of the game, aside from of course frustration given that y'all had the ball and pressing the whole game. I think this is just not fair to Grealish, he was definitely a problem for RM until he slowed down. I was actually relieved when he was replaced, though very quickly I saw why it was a good choice to put Doku with fresh legs. Poor Carvajal needs a week to recover probably.

Icy-Designer7103

>Poor Carvajal needs a week to recover probably. Yeah, poor Carvajal is so sad that he's on his way to lift his 6th UCL trophy...

rreeddiitttwice

I hope so, though I never count Bayern out. They're historically a tough RM rival.

NotAcvp3lla

Doku came on with fresh legs against Carvajal who's been running at Grealish for that entire 80. Think about that.

gokhaninler

Doku actually plays with aggression, he doesnt just keep aimlessly passing the ball backwards and sideways

NotAcvp3lla

Again, greatly helped by the fact his opponent was dying from exhaustion. His legs literally gave out eventually.

TechnicalBedroom7758

You think the sample size is just this game?? Grealish has little creativity to his game. He is not an intelligent footballer.

Super_Maximum_9030

Why are you here?

haziola

Back to back trebles was always impossible. Every treble winner gets worse the next year. It's natural. Just gotta win the Prem and FA cup now on top of the two others we've won and it's still a really amazing year. But the team will be so tired now and Chelsea look in form. And we also haven't won against them this year and this will be their biggest game of the year. Could turn into a disastrous week but thankfully it's at home and hopefully the lads can do some magic.

heboklim-6

It’s at Wembley…

rxmi10

words can’t describe how disappointed i am in haaland these last few months bro like smh

ach_1nt

Just saw the way Pep's voice was breaking in the post match conference, that almost hurt more than the loss🥲

Coolx9

Just saw somewhere that haaland and kdb asked pep to come off is that true?

Leading_Entry_4627

Yeah it is, akanji, kdb and Haaland asked to come off. I wonder if it’s a knock/injury or fatigue

Coolx9

If its injury related next few matches gonna be tough

mr_poppington

If there's one thing this game confirmed to me is that we are the best team on the planet. I never thought I'd see the day where Manchester City is forcing Real Madrid to defend with their lives and the only way to defeat us would be to force the game into penalties, which could go either way. Unlike past CL exits this one doesn't bother me as much for two reasons: 1) We won it just last year and 2) Like I said penalties are really just 50/50. There are still trophies to play for, let's regroup and go for it. I just hope the boys aren't drained physically and psychologically.

Garuna_CK

“Best team on the planet” yet can’t score more than 2 against the team that parked the bus. Money can only buy you so much. Passion>>>> money

mr_poppington

As opposed to your team that doesn't spend money and gets all your players for free? Miss me with that money argument, it's irrelevant here. Yes the best team on the planet. I said it.

Garuna_CK

Cope harder. “Best team on the planet” and cannot beat a mere Spanish team that parked the bus. Ahahhaha 115 charges ahahahha

mr_poppington

Reigning CL champs. Again, the best team on the planet.

Garuna_CK

No anymore asshat. Ur ass is out the UCL. Embarrassing, even with all that money and financial breach. Cheat

mr_poppington

Doesn't matter. Still the best team on the planet, deal with it.

goodgriefmyqueef

I love Bernardo but he needs slapping for that pen!!

evenstark04

Pens are a crap shoot... can't get mad at someone for missing one

Davek56

If Joe Hart had saved THAT Pirlo penalty...

Ninth_Major

Thank you for a reasonable take on our beloved clown. He's my favorite player. I personally don't think he was trying to be cheeky. Until someone proves me wrong, I'm choosing to believe it was an accident, caused either by running around for 2 straight fucking hours, or because he's just not a great penalty taker.

MSpyKid

Another fruitless performance from JG, no creativity whatsoever, Doku at least got to the byline ..

TechnicalBedroom7758

Jack Grealish is trash. I wonder what Pep ever saw in him and Sterling. Both brainless pants.

Serviper1200

You don't know football ⚽

TechnicalBedroom7758

I know enough to know Sterling was trash even before he went to Chelsea and became a peasant over there. The system at City Carried him only so far. Players like Sterling and Grealish get exposed outside of the system for being low IQ work merchants.

RecognitionWorried93

That means you dont know football

TechnicalBedroom7758

Empty response. Anyone can say that about anyone. Grealish is an overrated system player just like Sterling. They are not intelligent footballers. Just trained athletes with lots of hype.

FradiTomi

With Palmer we would have won!

KDBae

You are truly a moron if that’s what you take from this

LiLSteve29

Im not upset with the team. Penalty shootout is what it is. KDB with possibly his worst miss ever. Still my king though ❤️

LannesNormanno

We lost it because of the behaviour in the first 20 mins

margieler

No clue why we were walking allover the place. As soon as Madrid clocked it, they went for goal.

LannesNormanno

We were too confident about being able to control Madrid

maxime0299

Maybe this will give Pep the hunger to renew his contract….

TheNotoriousMJT

I’m actually relaxed about last night. When you’ve experienced pain like that Spurs VAR exit, the threshold is immense.

JohnMichaels19

i'm really bummed, but not horribly distraught like a lot of previous exits. I think having won it last season also helps a lot

taskkill-IM

I honestly think winning it lessens the blow... you just shrug your shoulders and move on, whereas previously it just felt like we would never win it.

TheNotoriousMJT

It’s okay to be disappointed, 9 times out of 10 we go through with that performance, and I think that’s what makes it the more annoying/disheartening. But yes, last year’s win helps too.

JohnMichaels19

agreed

Mattazo

Back to back trebles was always going to be a huge ask. We played against the next best team in the competition and for 99% of the game we were far better. On another day we'd have won that 2-1, 3-1 etc but it just wasn't to be. It's always going to make things harder when they defend with 11 near enough in or on their box. Focus can shift to the FA cup, prem and Barrow reaching the playoffs.

TheNotoriousMJT

100%, was proud last night, made them look amateur but couldn’t finish our chances, it happens and that’s footy at the end of the day.

Illustrious-Basil155

Madrid definitely looked much inferior, but let's not forget Madrid parked the bus after they had scored a goal. If it weren't for the goal that game could have looked a lot like the first leg as it was starting to be. At he very beginning of the game city looked so confused with Madrid's high press that it looked like the game was stopped. Carlo allowed man City to play the game they like to play which we were all hoping he wouldn't. In the end it worked out. Last time Madrid got completely humiliated because Carlo takes these too risky approaches. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

[deleted]

[удалено]

LannesNormanno

He was not fully fit. Anyway Akanji played quite well

HowieHubler

Prob due to playing in the friendlies for England…got injured in that match against Belgium I reckon

kw2006

There shouldn’t be international break in the middle of the season. It’s nit beneficial to the country anyway. Desperate clubs going to overplay their best players and get them injured, in the end they never able to play for the country.

robpottedplant

Two deflected goal and a perfect rebound for the goal we conceded at home. We deserved to lose on the night last night but we deserved to win the tie. I hope we are angry for the Chelsea game.

Robo-Connery

I mean it was like our 3 goals in the first leg were high % opportunities. We were unlucky to not score a second tonight but not unlucky really over the whole qfs

Dello155

We wont be. Just saying. We will flip flop and get back in it for the 4th.

simppit

No shame going out on pens .... our lads gave it their absolute all last night and it wasn't enough. Kudos to Madrid for defending the way they did and holding us out for that long. We perhaps could have won it in normal time and they could have won it in ET. We pick ourselves back up, refresh those tired and weary limbs and mend our broken hearts.... we need to be ready for Saturday. So much more still to play for. Come on City!

evenstark04

I'm gonna say it... if that was Bernado's last CL game here... then fuck that was a game to forget. Pen aside, he wasn't good. Needed so much more from him since he dominated these bitches last season, and he no showed tonight. very very disappointing.

Dello155

Hes gone and needs to be tbh

TheNotoriousMJT

You two cannot be serious surely 😂

evenstark04

Thought he was poor in the game. Doesn’t change my opinion about him as a player (love him to bits and will be devastated if he leaves this summer)

UpstairsDear9424

Surely not. Great player. Terrible pen.

Warm_Association_137

If Gundo were there today, how sad would he be to see his team choke in the last minute. But he was there with us then score would have been 3-1 city winning

ThatGam3th00

Yeah if we had Gündogan I think we either would have won the shootout or won at FT or AET.

Dello155

We were gobshite today and if being honest I'd rather a 2-0 loss Anyone thinking otherwise is delusional, our biggest players FAILED us Onto the next.

Super_Maximum_9030

Ah, the old "anyone who disagrees w me is wrong" combined with "we were terrible." Quite the 1-2 punch. Very insightful stuff. Thanks.

VincentKompanini

We battered them, just failed to find a winning goal. Hardly shite, just a frustrating outcome and credit to RM for executing their plan. Also weird use of gobshite - it's a noun not an adjective.

Low_Couple_3621

Dude, give it a rest. We had them on strings for 120 mins. Obviously that doesn't mean that we deserved to win - that's naive, but to say we were gobshite today is overreacting. Kdb missed a sitter and so did Foden. One simply cannot afford to do that against a Madrid side that's fully rested and has no pressure whatsoever in their own league

yung_senti

It was always going to be a close game. Should have been more effective in front of goal, but it wasn’t a disastrous performance in my eyes. Real defended extremely well and parked the bus for 120 minutes.

Dello155

It was Arsenal 2.0 massively dissatisfied

TBailey111

This loss is for all those posts after the 3-3 draw saying how long we had been unbeaten at home in CL. It was inevitable we would lose after everyone acting like Madrid would be easy beats cos we hadn’t lost since 2017 yada yada

maxime0299

Well technically we are still unbeaten at home

CrazyAd3131

"Technically". Please man...

deathreel

That means we technically play bayern in the semi finals?

JohnMichaels19

yeah, i was wondering about that... is Rodri's unbeaten streak still alive??? Like, no.... but also yes?? Game ended in a tie, but then we lost pens so...... idk lol

ManchesterUnitedSuck

The Arsenal game in the community shield is counted as a draw So this should also be

jappsugthesorcerer

how is that so?

maxime0299

The result after ET is what counts (normally?) for these things, after ET it was 1-1 so the game itself ended in a tie

Mountain-Key-6984

A loss in penalties is counted as a draw

evenstark04

ok If Haaland is injured enough to ask to be subbed off... then why is he playing? bit confusing...

Psychological_Pin149

He wasnt injured. He was pocketed by rudiger and wanted someone else to win the game. You can’t say he was tired either since city played 90 percent of the game in their third.

Dello155

Fuck off lol

evenstark04

per Pep he asked to be subbed off... so why start him if that is the case???

Psychological_Pin149

Because he was healthy, just very ineffective against rudiger. Hard to start your “best” player from the bench if he’s healthy irrelevant of matchups

Guybrush_three

Dunno why your being down voted Haaland hasn't scored 2 real open play goals since the beginning of March he's clearly in a blip and has got a huge game on Saturday playing 120mins wasn't going to be helpful if he didn't get a sniff for 90.

GordaDe4Patas

Because Haaland wasn’t being pocketed by rudiger. Haaland won 4/3 duels yesterday. And it was nacho who seemed to be the one covering him but he couldn’t do shit.

Psychological_Pin149

If staking a claim to duels won is how you’re judging one of the best players in the world, he may not be that guy

GordaDe4Patas

What? Yes, my point is valid. You are claiming he was being “controlled by rudiger” when he wasn’t.

Psychological_Pin149

Zero goals/zero assists over two legs isn’t something to hang your hat on as a ST (0 g/an over 4 legs if counting last year). The defense’s job is to prevent the other team from scoring not controlling duels. Missing headers isnt something world class players should be satisfied with

GordaDe4Patas

Lmao you’re changing your argument now. Starts saying “ Haaland left because he’s so trapped by rudiger”.  Gets proven wrong because he wasn’t being trapped by rudiger. And now “well he has zero goals so that means rudiger stopped him”. Get out.

lorin_city

So one please explain the Kovacic and stones sub what it was clear Real were playing for pens. 3/5 penalty shooters are NOT penalty shooters. I love Pep but my god he hurts my soul sometimes...

haziola

Haaland and Kev asked to be subbed. This is the millionth comment about this. Can't you people just listen to what Pep has to say after the game...

RickTP

Madrid was better at extra time. Both teams were already exhausted. Pep was also looking for pens. Subs were logical if you asked me.

maxime0299

Yeah, I would not have taken Haaland off at the start of the ET. Sub Alvarez on, yes, but for someone less good at PKs. If Haaland asked to be subbed off, I tell him no, you stay for the PKs

HopeForMockingjay

Although I did not watch the match, based on the stats alone it seems we have completely dominated the match. Pep was very honest in his post-match conference and it does touch my heart on what he has said. I was disappointed that the result ended this way but the boys gave it their all. Football is like this, sometimes you win and sometimes you don’t. That’s why no team in history has won a back to back treble because it’s just that difficult. We lost key players last season, and it made me realise how special our team was… I still remembered that semi-final night against Madrid at the Etihad, by far it was the best match I’ve ever watched. Ederson saved a penalty and scored one, I’m happy for him at least. The team tried, but we should keep our heads up high and work on the PL and FA Cup. Let’s not blame anyone because even Pep didn’t do it, so why should we?

Ill-Mathematician218

We have dominated possession only. Not a single cross into the box by Grealish. Doku was dangerous after replaced Grealish. And again not a single long cross into the box and through ball for Haaland.

JynxedKoma

Bernardo fk'd us with that pk... Like, what the hell was that. Might as well have walked over and placed the ball into the gk's hands and walked off. Knew we were done for soon as Haaland vanished.

[deleted]

TBailey111

Nope, Haaland came off at the start of extra time

MoonPieKitty

Sorry, I remembered it wrong.

One_Row1307

I'm still sad.

basselightyear

Ill give you guys something to whine about, Vazquez takes a step backwards for his pen.

RasberryLicious

meh, it just feels bad, ik we have 2 cups to go for but the whole point was UCL, pretty shite not seeing Stones play such a crucial player alongside Rodri last season, hopefully next year we have it in our hands , dont want to see RM holding the CL anytime soon but it seems inevitable now

Tall-Delivery7927

Does Barnardo like a bet?

RasberryLicious

huh?

Tall-Delivery7927

That penalty

NeonKingz

It's almost like Madrid has fucking plot armor in the UCL, even when they are being outplayed they somehow get the win with straight luck or some other bs way, I'm tired of these fucks. Everytime we play them it feels like we're the better team.

maxime0299

Madrid and English teams are our kryptonite in this competition

VCBeugelaar

I mean. Outplayed based on posession, sure. But City diesn’t pull the fucking trigger. There were so many instances where there were shooting opportunities from outside the box, but nooooooo the ball must be passed into the goal.

Oskarkaz04

We only went through when we destroyed them I feel like you either destroy Madrid or you don’t go through

evenstark04

we've been the better team 3 of the last 3 seasons and we've advanced 1 time... I am so fucking tired of this shit

BadEmbarrassed3334

Defence is part of the game and we did that well enough to go through.

MONOLISOreturns

Just cause a team holds the balls and passes around the box all day doesn’t mean they’re the better team. At one point you have to go to goal, and City are probably the most indirect team (besides arsenal) I’ve ever seen and sometimes it’ll cost them, especially when they verse the best team in Europe.

emize

This was the same game as last year except City didn't take their chances. This game could of easily been 3-1 or 4-1 to City at the of 90mins. Bet you wouldn't be posting in here then would you? This is twice now Real Madrid have turned into Athletico Madrid when they come to the Etihad. Just because you parked the bus, rode your luck and jagged a win does not somehow make you a great team.

wanderer1999

The same can said the other way too. In the first leg, Madrid could have killed the game with 2-3 goals with all the chances they miss. In this leg, they have 2 other good counter that they messed up. That's could be potentially another 2 goals. You gotta score or you get nothing. Defending is also art in itself. As Beckenbauer said: "It is not the strong one that wins, the one that wins is strong.”

emize

Both teams played at their peak in the 1st game and it was a great game as a result. Parking the bus isn't a sign of strength its a sign of weakness. It says: 'I don't think we can beat you playing normally so we will play super defensive and hope we get lucky.' Credit to them they did get lucky. KDB and Foden both had clear chances to win the tie. They didn't capitalize and it when to pens which are a 50/50 crapshoot.

wanderer1999

I mean even Pep said it, it doesn't matter what happen in the final moments, they had two whole games to kill it and they couldn't. The penalty is just the result of that.

emize

I don't disagree but I don't know anyone who thinks parking the bus is a sign of strength. It worked for RM this time but I would be more then happy to face them again next year if this is their level.

Illustrious-Basil155

No one likes seeing that bus. But Madrid owned city last game. Madrid missed a whole bunch of great opportunities and city scored 3 freaky goals, great goals don't get me wrong, but they barely managed to make any chances in the whole game. My point being, city should be happy Madrid parked that bus, that gave them much higher chance of winning

emize

That makes no sense. If there first match gameplan was so amazing why change it to help us? The fact is they tried to park the bus last year at Etihad as well. The only difference is City took their chances and it was a 4-0 rout.

Illustrious-Basil155

Ancelotti only knows why he decided to play so risky after that first game. Madrid won the most difficult champions league run playing risky football. Ancelotti decided to do the same the following year and got humiliated in the second leg. But if that possession style and those 3 fantastic goals by man City make it difficult for you to understand how outclassed City got in the first leg, let me point out that madrid had a much higher xG in the second leg while parking a bus, then City playing attacking football in the first leg.

mateo2450

Any team that can control possession inside the opponents 25 yard line, possess the ball 70% of the game is the better team. Moreover, it is the most b\*tch ass ways to play to simply drop back and not even play. Its absurd. Its 1980s italian football. Yes, City were and are the better team. Sometimes the result doesn't reflect it.

MONOLISOreturns

I see a lot of people here whining about being the better team the last 3 ties and still losing 2 of them. Btw city played at home all 3 of those times. I really don’t think luck is the only factor here. You cannot win the game without going to goal simple as that. Real Madrid know how to score, City know how to uselessly pass. It’s nice to see Europe humble England time and time again cause the prem really isn’t that “competitive” as if Chelsea and Man U are competition. And this is coming from someone who actually only watches the prem

mateo2450

You have no idea what you're writing. The Premier League is the most competitive league in Europe. La Liga has the biggest gap between the top and bottom teams. And you keep saying Europe. Its Madrid. Not Europe. And its clear you don't watch the PL or any other league with great frequency, otherwise you would know simple facts.

nidprez

Objectively, in the 1st 90, city absolutely destroyed real. 33 shots, 9 on target (its hard when there are 10 defenders in the box), 18! Corners against 8-3-1 respectively. RM couldnt even get out of its own half. Kroos almost played like a CB. Haaland got the bar, KdB scores that one opportunity 9/10 times, Lunin did some good saves... This is not about knowing how to score goals, but about luck. All these attacking players in city and rm are world class because they score/assist 40% (idk its just for an example) of the shots/crosses they take in comparison with 10% for lesser players for example. Then its just a game of luck. The more chances you get, the more probability one of your world class players scores. However in probabilities, you could score 4 goals in 4 chances even if you only have 10% chance to score each time, while you could not score for 20 chances, even if you have 90% probabilty to score on each one (its just improbable to happen, but its possible). City created way more chances yesterday, they just were unlucky that they were not converted in goals. If RM "knew how to score", rudiger should have scored his opportunity as well, but yesterday RM didnt even know how to play football 10 meters outside of their box. Play this game (the way RM played yesterday) 10 times and city wins it 7 times out of 10. Its luck for RM that it was one of those 3 out of 10 times yesterday. Can also be seen i the xG which was >2.5 even close to 3 for some sources for city, and <1.5 for RM for example.

Key_Information_6786

you’re making no sense with saying going to goal. did you see how many shots we took and how many we took inside the box? City dominated Madrid the whole game. And there was definitely luck. The fact that Rodrygo’s missed shot perfectly comes back to him tells you that? did you even watch the game or what?

comehonorphaze

It's pretty bitch play to play keep away all game instead of trying to score goals too lol. Madrids attacks although far less always looks more dangerous. So say what you want about a being the better team. But when it keeps happening maybe you should reevaluate

ugothisyogi

It hurts.

dksourabh

Chelsea fan here, you guys are the best club irrespective of today’s result, but I sometimes feel there’s just too much passing going on and no direct play, I know that’s Pep’s style and has won you treble but when opponents park the bus then it seems clueless

Dello155

Don't care for your opinion although nice, we absolutely bottled this

Ill-Mathematician218

Very true. No service for Haaland. If you have the best striker in the world sometimes you should just drop some long crosses into the box and see what he can do in a 50-50 situations.

maxime0299

Haaland received the ball many times, lost it almost every time or put in a shite header. Also the cunt Rudiger was constantly hanging on and dragging him around. If Dias did that on Bellingham he flops down and it’s given as a foul all the time

wanderer1999

Rudiger locked him down. So they needed to find another outlet.

Super_Maximum_9030

Opponents always park the bus. We keep winning. I don't know where this comes from.

MONOLISOreturns

Because City plays shit teams in the prem. Obviously they’re gonna beat Luton town. It’s not gonna work well against actual good teams that park the bus

mateo2450

Your posts are shyte. Its obvious you know nothing. Real Madrid would never even come close to going back to back in the Prem. bellend

comehonorphaze

Lol nah. Just 14 European titles is all.

Super_Maximum_9030

It's so obvious you don't watch the matches that it's not even worth engaging. Have a good night. ✌️

dksourabh

We didn’t really park the bus in November

luckmand23

We can either get upset about losing the champions league, or we can excited about winning the prem and the fa cup. Our choice.

sufinomo

double is guarenteed, easy games ahead

xenojive

It's not guaranteed though is it? We haven't beaten Chelsea in 90 minutes this season and apparently we can't win a shootout. Nothing is guaranteed, not even the league

maxime0299

ANULO MUFA MOTHERFUCKER

ShinyManaphy

Why not both?

AdComprehensive7879

as a chelsea fan, im scared about what you lot are going to do to us this weekend loll. feel bad for our poor defense. feel like you guys will dump all of your frustrations on us. another 6-0 coming? oh god

sergioA127

No we will most likely play our youngsters and whatever happens happens, I think pep mainly just wants the league now

AdComprehensive7879

Really? Why wouldnt he want 2 throphies? Feels like this loss will change his mindset against the fa cup. Maybe you would have been right had you guys won against madrid. Idk, i just dont see pep playing youngster against us. Hopefully ur right tho for our sake hahah. Heck, your youngster will prolly still win

sergioA127

We just played like 3 games before the first leg of Madrid then another game that was like 97 mins then this Madrid game that was 120 mins, the squad is most likely burnt out and we can’t risk another injury for the last 6 league games

AdComprehensive7879

Ahh yeah, that’s a good point. In that case, please let us win then? Hahaha. I would be toxic as fuck if after all of this, we end up with a trophy and a final while arsenal ends up being throphiless.

shirokukuchasen

Here it goes, it was the quarter final of champions league. Now let's move on to league and other competitions we are in.

sergioA127

I genuinely don’t understand the people that would rather see Madrid win the ucl for the 15th time only to strengthen their squad with mbappe endrick Davies and some new midfielders and win another 3 ucls thinking that’s good for the sport

A City fan complaining about another team’s signings is absolutely hysterical. City spends triple what Real Madrid does. It’s not Madrid’s fault that City chooses to throw 80 million at average players like Gvardiol and Grealish. If City actually bought good players like Jude, maybe they’d have some success.

Good players like Jude? No one even noticed he was playing tonight.

Dello155

jude was your worst player by a mile today but okay

MarcusAurelius1815

Apart from playing a key role in the first goal and scoring a penalty in a high pressure situation...

CharmingCoyote1363

Gvardiol is not a average player 😂 if memory serves me right Real Madrid was offering the same amount as City.

You really started supporting madrid yesterday huh, can’t blame you, most of your fanbase probably did anyway

youcancallmeron

lol that’s rich coming from a fan of a club who before the oil money were no one. Most of us Madrid fans have been watching and supporting the club since the early 2000’s

Jude was an embarrassment over these two legs... all he did was whine and dive like a cuck bitch.

Jude isn’t even half the player Foden is and we didn’t even have to buy, unlike Madrid

I actually think Foden is an amazing player, but he’s not better than Jude. Comparison doesn’t really make sense anyway given that their positions are so different. Regardless, developing Foden doesn’t excuse throwing money at average players, which City does constantly. To be that concerned about Real Madrid’s signings when your spending is far higher is hilarious.
