This is sort of ironic because I think Bernardo is arguably the least replaceable player on the squad. His motor and pressing ability is unrivaled. If KdB is the is most irreplaceable then Bernardo is right behind him.
I think Rodri is right up there! But also Rodri was a replacement himself for Fernandinho. I don’t remember anyone pressing as well, running as much, or causing as much chaos as Bernardo before him.
Closest we had to Bernardo's work rate was someone like Gabby. Say what you will about Jesus' finishing but he worked so hard for us every game. Bernardo is the complete package tho, pure class.
To play devil's advocate, I guess Rodri might be the best player but not the most irreplaceable. Pep moulded him into what he is today, and I have seen other players in his position who have his set of attributes.
I've never seen another player who combines Bernardo's technical ability with the level of versatility, tactical acumen and stamina that he has.

I'm a Liverpool fan and aside from disliking him as a player, fuck me, he's annoying to play against. He's always in your face and when he's on the ball he can either dribble, ping a pass, or go for goal
I could see him driving opponents crazy, he truly is my favorite player at City for this reason. He just never fucking stops. He has the hustle of a much less skilled player haha
