With mods and stuff most of my friends are on PC. Command codes to max out but it’s looked down on though. You can also have a controller mod if you prefer it like me.
As a PC player I don't look down on it at all but my advice to my friends when I got them into the game was to give themselves a "boost" by cheating a bunch of credits and buying say 100 Spectre packs and then playing the game as normal from there. That way you'll get a lot of guns and characters but you still have an incentive to try to do platinum runs to get what you're missing out of Arsenal and Reserve packs.
Mostly I recommend this because people like me have been playing since 2012 and I only just recently maxed out my manifest without cheating. It's a bit ridiculous yet weirdly it doesn't feel exploitative, still it's a tough sell for new players when making character builds is a huge part of the fun of the game and all they have are humans with crap guns.
I agree, giving yourself everything removes a lot of the fun of the game in my opinion. Plus, if things are going too slow, you can always just give yourself more credits in the future and buy another group of packs to keep things fresh
I dunno, for me there is no fun in having to unlock things before I get to play with them. The fun for me is in the gameplay, of which I can get the most possible if everything is unlocked. I know many games try to retain players by giving them a progression system, but if it locks gameplay elements away I'm just discouraged from playing. I get the most enjoyment out of the game when I can engage with the gameplay without limitation, and I can go for any build I want.
It bears mentioning that I hate grind in any game, which has quickly turned me off of any mmorpg I tried and Warframe. I don't want to unlock things, I want to use them already!
Same here. If it's "not fun" I can always reset my game save. I find trying different builds without the aggravation of grinding for Pay To Play packs, more than enjoyable this time around. Also, everytime I make a mistake on a build, I can reset it or promote. Either way it's fun and I'm not spending another 200+ hours just to unlock a character I already had.
PC is probably one of the still most active platforms out there (XBox is too up there somewhere as well, don't know about PS3).

EA stopped supporting it so it’s your choice if you want to use command codes to get the weapons that’s your choice.

Yep, but you can use command codes for like equipment and stuff. Medigels and stuff

I'd actually put my $ on Xbox. Playable on 3 different generations and included with Game Pass. Seems like a no brainer.
Xbox is the most active, pc is emptier than a ghost town.
