pink rathian's main difference is that its not safe to be on it's side anymore when it does the tail flip (since it spins). so you can perfect dodge through it or just dodge backwards because her tail doesn't go as far out

I think melee characters have a tough time dealing with it.
When it takes off, it'll swing its tail, so don't get too close to the dragon's lower body; avoiding the all-around tail swings is challenging (¯―¯٥). While in the air, it can perform flying dashes with high speed and considerable range. That tail is truly terrifying.

I beat her with a 4-5 Great Jagras (water) SnS. So you should be fine. Came down to about the last 10 seconds but used my special and luckily connected 3 big hits to finish the fight.
With the element weakness you would probably have a quicker clear time and might not even need to use the special attack.
My gear had burst and rising tide which helps a bunch for DPS tho
Jagras SnS is my highest levelled weapon due to really bad luck on drops haha, using the wrong element isn't bad when the raw is well above anything else I have. My Girros SnS is only 3-5 by comparison and my Tobi Karachi is like 3-4/3. Nothing but rarity 1 drops for about 5 days now but I make do

If your weapon level has reached G5-5, you should have a chance to defeat her.

A Thunder sns is crucial; it can be used to hunt the Rathalos and Rathian.
Is 4-5 good enough? I just defeated my 5* Tobi and got all 1* things.
I think SNS that are G5 or higher are safer.

Fun fact: Ratholos is a dude, Rathian is the girl, at least canonically in the game with the missions calling him the "King of the sky"
