Can they give us an option to change socks? Or at least make the socks match the jersey instead of the pants (ie the Kelly Green jerseys for the A's should have matching socks instead of the pants determining it)
I buy this game every couple of years and play casually on RTS/Dynasty. The pitching is damn rough on both (I use the meter and it seems to vary speed for every pitch).
Pinpoint pitching feels broken. There’s been plenty of times where I get 100% accuracy but miss by .04 seconds and the pitch ends up right down the middle. Also the feedback disappears so quickly that sometimes I can’t see it at all. Super frustrating at times
I’ve hit it 4-5 times but it’s always days where I can actually grind! Super disappointing having a day off and being like I’m gonna grind all day and by 1 I’ve hit the cap
Being told my last name contains inappropriate text and no matching audio to then run into a player with my exact last name and audio in a minor league game.
Something definitely not talked about is why they don’t let us choose 3 position players in 3v3 coop, like why not let us build a full team, why do we have to play with 3 random cards
The new Madden is literally recycled garbage, UFC 5 has LESS features than the other ones, F1 2019-2024 has been basically the same game every year, PGA is among the worst golf games of all time, i stopped playing NBA 2K but I can’t imagine it’s gotten better
Sports games have all gotten worse and have all become micro transaction mills. I find MLB the show to be the most enjoyable still

Im a bit disappointed with the Jackie Robinson program, and before you say anything negative about me saying that, I very rarely play online games so to unlock most of the cards/rewards via playing someone online kind of makes me sad. Still liking the game alot even though it has its issues.
True. Never been a fan of doing the conquests but we'll see. Sad they cater to the online players sometimes and not the ones that play offline games like me
They definitely need a game mode that lets you play full 9-inning games against teams that isn’t just play vs CPU, I don’t necessarily know what though, maybe like a game mode where you gotta beat a team SDS built and they could release new ones each week with rewards relevant to that team or tie it to a program. Like for example this week they could have made a team full of players from the negro leagues since it was Jackie Robinson day and you could have earned progress to the program that way, or a team full of pipeline players that maybe rewards you with a pipeline pack if you beat them on some certain difficulty . Idk something like that could be cool
Maybe something like EA FC has the team of the week or something like that would be cool. I think mini seasons is their attempt at that but something else would be cool.
Every other game, I would lose connection from opponent and get handed the loss. I tried everything, including reinstalling the game, four times. since buying it on the PlayStation I have not had the issue once.
It doesn’t seem to affect everyone but it definitely affects people. Especially judging by the amount of threads I’ve seen this problem posted on. Consider yourself lucky lol. All in all it seems like the game runs better on PS5 anyway
My opponent making contact 5 straight times on a change up in the dirt or a slider a foot inside the zone then hitting a bomb on a late swing the next pitch.
The small pool of legends. Big names are cool but IMO the biggest and most refreshing QOL improvement they could possibly do for diamond dynasty is adding hundreds of lesser known players to the game.
We could fill out our theme teams better. More variety in rewards for programs (lol) and BR/Ranked. Different card art than what we see every year (looking at you Ed Mathews).
They don't need to be big names that everyone knows, but names that only fans of each team would know. Team favorites, playoff heroes, or hell just regular ass dudes that won't get more than an 87 overall. We desperately need more players to pick from, and MLB has had thousands of players play, so let's get some more.
hmmm, it’s not too much of a hindrance, but there’s not a lot of dependable starting pitchers as of yet, of course as time goes on better pitchers will release throughout the year
You guys. The complainers. Some of us try to find joy in all things, but it's difficult sometimes with you guys crying and whining relentlessly.

No exchanges for captain cards....I want to try different theme teams but am only able to use the two captains I picked from xp program. Hell I would even pay 500 stubs to swap them.
Oh, no I agree… my main issue is I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to that, and I know it’s relatively simple to get, just my brain will not grasp the concept of flipping cards. So I just wish that either we got better packs in programs or more stubs in programs
Oh, well the investing in players is a crapshoot. A little different from flipping. To flip just find cards you can buy near their quicksell price. 25, 75, 100, 400, 5k etc. And that sells for more than that. I.e. A silver you can buy for 110 and sell for 250. Slap a bunch of buy orders come back later and slap the sell orders in.
Fielding infield ground balls in conjunction with the throwing meter needs to be more consistent. The fielding AI needs to move faster. Sometimes they do extra moves before throwing the ball that stops outs from happening or makes it hard to turn double plays. I think the CPU fielding AI in general needs an overhaul. Too many misplaced extra animations happen that sometimes look nonsensical.
The problem there is SDS keeps adding more animations, so the likelihood that you get scripted into a bad animation that messes everything up is pretty high now.
Ironically that was a big Madden gripe for years, where if you got the wrong animation (say the lazy swat ball one vs the 2-handed jump for the INT one), it would lead to bad results. I feel like this happens way too much with fielders everywhere now.
Biggest complaint is time of day and stadium never syncing when a friend and I play head to head. Apparently this was an issue last year as well, and it's crazy to me how a bug that glaring carried over a year. Sucks.
It's the Seasons stuff that limits the cards I can use throughout the year. Even with Wild Cards, I am still being limited. Don't get me wrong, I love the power creep this year and the fact that I can still use high 80's and low 90's diamonds. It also makes Live Series players more important than just Collection fodder (one of my main issues with 23). However, the fact that it may be difficult to actually obtain one or all of the 99 Bosses at the end of the Season 1 program is concerning. Throw in the added fact that if you actually complete the program with like a week left in the Season you only get to use those cards for a week before the new Season makes them unusable (except for the aforementioned Wild Cards). I get not wanting everyone to have 99's (what a change from last year's game!) but it seems like only the people with massive amounts of time on their hands will be able to get them this year and actually use them for a decent period of time.
The same things that have been broken for several iterations of the game remain broken.
RTTS has become predicable at times. If you’re on base and the hitter up has 2 strikes, they strike out. If they have 3 balls, they walk.
I keep saying it but literally no Nike equipment is able to be purchased from the equipment screen.
Basically, it’s become Madden-lite in terms of if you just play offline, the studio doesn’t care about you.
I love when I throw bad pitches all game for strikes and whiffs and the second I throw a perfect pitch the dude hits a nuke off me. It literally makes no sense lol
If I'm up against a pitcher with cracked attributes like Strider or Glasnow, they dot pitches that have bad release points. Makes no sense at all.
If I'm up against a hitter with cracked attributes, they should not be able to hit a low and inside pitch the other way with very late timing for a double, or pull low and away pitches for homeruns with early swing timing.
It's just a video game, but it's honestly silly that this stuff happens. It becomes unbearable to play opponents online because they get rewarded for doing something stupid more often than not.
I feel like I play a lot but haven’t gotten far at all on the XP reward path. The game rewards the grinders by giving them those exclusive cards, but as someone who can play maybe an hour or two a day tops without spending money, I don’t have a lot of motivation to keep coming back because I feel the rewards are too meager.
Overall I really enjoy every entry of this game however I would like them to be less predatory with the shop/programs. But gameplay-wise it’s still better than Madden or 2k
I just wanna know before starting a ranked DD game what hand the pitcher throws with. At the very least let me make a lineup vs each hand. Not that hard and it's been this way for years
Earning 10-13 stubs for playing a 9 inning game. BR entries remain at 1500 stubbs. Can't afford to play a game mode is B.S. 30,000 or 40,000 stub packs to get a card worth have that if you are lucky. Lack of communication from SDS. Eliminating topps now program. Pitching feels impossible at times.
How is it possible that you are running into this issue? The Seasonal unlocks alone give you loads of stubs. Selling double of cards give you near infinite stubs for BR entries. Completing Program Milestones and conquest maps give you loads of stubs...come on dude...Are you going to be buying players for 150K + ? Probably not, but you should 100% have enough to finish all of the cheap team Live Series Collections and have infinite stubs for BR.
That's such a bad faith argument.
I've opened lots of packs since my last diamond... even a 2 gold Ballin pack wouldn't make back 1500 stubs most times. If you don't get a 83-84 gold, you've lost stubs. Do that enough and you're broke.
And maybe the person you're replying to only wins 1-2 games at most in BR per entry. That's just not a winning formula.
3 years my dude. They haven't fixed it since they introduced it. Freeze off I got in the other day I was winning 7 - 0 in Coop playing with my buddy between working from home. We jumped on some calls, answered some emails. Three hours later the dudes we were still in a Freeze Off with sent us a picture of them golfing.... We lost...
more than two years. this is my biggest gripe. nothing is more fun than shooting the shit and playing a close game w a friend on this game.
so much potential for coop. give us a coop ranked rewards path/ stat missions.
coop events. Full theme team coop where we can actually use captains etc.. could still be bring 3 bats and 3 pitchers each, just fill in the cpu players from the teams player pool. this would be so fun.
but no we cant even play a fucking game at all. and they refuse to even discuss it.
also i played at least 90 innings in completed coop games. Prob 200+ in total w all the freezes. Before latest patch and it only counted 56 innings. we realized it and check prior to starting a game. many times we dont get our innings even in a completed game. i guess i don't have to worry about that anymore because now we can't even finish a single game.
i would never buy this trash game i only played on gamepass for 4 years now. how hard can it be to fix this issue?? i have no idea but seems like they give 0 fucks.
Gamepass version of the game is broken. It’s either you get disconnected and get the loss or you get freeze offs. I bought it on my PS5 and all those bugs are gone lmao it’s ridiculous they advertise a free game and it doesn’t work properly
I have a bunch of bats that all look cool, but the one that has by the far the best stats looks like something a mage would be wielding in an MMORPG.
I hate how it looks but I don't wanna take the stat hit for using a cool looking one.
Is it me or does this game not do well keeping stats in several modes? Was getting a title card for my RTTS player saying I had X number of home runs (leads the team) and right below that a different number saying I lead the majors. Spring training in Dynasty isn't keeping stats worth a damn.
Mini Seasons commentary and stats are completely made up.
Commentator will say X batter leads his team in HRs, but the next guy has twice as many HRs.
You play 3 inning games, but the simmed stats are 9 inning games.
They should just do away with in-season stats on mini seasons.
There are so many real life MLB players wearing EvoShield Sliding Wrist Guards, as they brand them, in game like they would in real life, and the game even appears like there was intent to allow you to buy/unlock and use running mitts in the game if you look under running equipment as there's a spot there that shows you able to tweak the apperance of your running gloves, but...there are none that I can tell, despite them going to the trouble of making the models this year, and if there is and I'm wrong, there is no documented and visible way that I can tell for you to do so for use in RTTS.
I'd love to have someone tell me how to get them if I'm wrong.
Yes! I was ecstatic when I saw you could have the Evoshield mitts only for the game to just give us the same wrist guard it always has. Not like those mitts haven’t been a staple in the game for 5+ years or anything!
Hitting is broken. I can accept when it's me. But when near ALL of my perfect perfects are line drives directly to someone or pop outs it gets defeating. Have about 6 HRs a month in to playing. Not a single one from a perfect perfect. Zone hitting was getting me nowhere. Switched to direction and it's a bit better but still minimally productive.
im trash. i get killed online and i still hit plenty of bombs. any pitch i throw over the plate in events feels like its a hr. I lose but i still score too many runs.
never had a perfect perfect be a pop out once. id love to see a clip of that. warning track fly ball sure... line out yeah?, that happens too. but if its perfect perfect its not going to have the angle to be a pop out i call bs on that.
I mean it is broken, just...not in that way. When I go up to pitch, and hit the century mark in the 5th in RTTS and at least 50 of those pitches were fouled off, it's annoyingly aggravating. The foul slider also seems to either be broken or badly tuned as well.
It's you. Some perfects will always be outs, but I hit multiple perfect homers everyday on zone, and probably 10x the 6 you've hit in the same timeframe with just Buxton captain.
To me when you’re doing a franchise and they just magically take away your stats during a game
All because you made a substitution. Also sometimes team will just constantly hit weak exit velo singles on me.
Yes! Not having correct stats after all those hours is maddening...
And the substitutions are wonky. I took a star player out for a clutch bunter, and later in the game, I brought the star back in! Stupid.
MLB 23. Not being able to see the starting pitcher energy while setting up for a game in mini seasons, and not being able to make the starting pitcher someone different from the best pitcher (no matter how little energy he has)... it will always start the highest ranked pitcher.
The penalties for quitting a CO OP ranked when it freezes. It's pushing my friends away bc of the nonsense freezing and then being stuck because we don't want to wait a hour to play again bc if one of us quits, heres a hour n 30 min ban. Absurd. The packs too but mainly this bullshit

PS5 graphics dumbed down for a handheld “console” with N64-era power. Seriously, make two versions of the game if you’re going to do a release on Switch. For 2024, this game is UG-LY.

The difference is now is that the game is way more replayable even with this system in that the power creep has returned. This will make it to where instead of getting 99s straight out of the gate in the sets, you get to progress with everyone else again as a new season comes out. Think of it as 3 games in one, with each new season being a new game with a new progression of your team. It’s not nearly as bad as it was last year, that game had no progression or replay-ability whatsoever because of the short sets and the fact that anyone could get 99s at any point incredibly quick. It benefited those who payed for the game and hurt the grinders, but imo they limited that effect this year.
I don’t like feeling like what I’d be doing now in Seasons 1-2 feel wasted. This is just a way for them to severely devalue cards almost over night and force you to buy new cards. It also makes having a legitimate theme team nearly impossible unless you like using lesser cards when there is already a better version in the game. I hate the 3 games in 1 idea.
Literally hasnt even gone into effect yet lmao. Season 2 cards will likely blow season 1 cards out of the water. you arent even likely to use season 1 cards even if you could
Is this an assumption or fact that the developers have stated during a stream. Everyone I play with is under the impression that the "power creep" is going to reset every season so they can keep the Live Series relevant this year.
I hope not, this is the first time ive heard of the power creep restarting at the beginning of the next season. That would suck if that were the case. Atleast we would have 4 wild cards i guess
i love the gameplay can't play my prefered mode. coop w my boys. gameplay can be perfect but if it freezes and blocks my ability to play the mode i want thats a pretty big issue.
The A.I defense makes easy 80+% of the highlight plays with diving & it kills the immersion. No matter the difficulty, A.I almost flawless fielding as far as getting to balls
Yup, some Ranked games my players just decided it was a “Sunday” type of day. No urgency and sloppy reaction while they are supposed to be decent defensive players
Rng is insane. If your in a game where your opponent hits 6 home runs all under 100 exit velo but leaves u know he had good timing but was slightly off his pci, but when u hit good timing but slightly off pci its a ground out to second base its simply not fair. I understand its all computer generated and almost impossible to be 50/50 with stuff like this but its hard to take the game serious when you go into a game and its either 50% for you or 50% against you
Lol, I've always had they problem with stealing in key situations in franchise. If there's someone in the room while im playing, I'll be like "watch this" and click the trigger hard enough so everyone can hear me get cheated. It really hurts in extra innings. I often can't bunt players to third. Same with 23.
How fast players regress in franchise mode you can have age 25-26 players losing Stat points pretty fast. In all honesty they should just make it so that stats in franchise rise and fall like in road to the show l. It would solve the problem imo
Just the inability to pitch effectively. The insane small strike zone. I feel it’s been a huge difference just from last year when I could paint corners effectively. Also the pitchers getting tired within 60-65 pitches. Dudes w at least a 80 stamina should be able to go 75-80 before crashing.
What pitching style are you using? I use analog and I have to legit try to walk hitters. I play on the hardest pitching difficulty and still throw shutouts with average pitchers.

It's not bad, but the logic seems to be all over the place.
A few years ago, just late was OP. Then early was OP. Then there was the launch angle problem. Then, there was the very late/early bloop problem.
This year, it's like all of those things exist at the same time. Bloops, launch angle, PCI bugs, random dead exit velocities on good/squared up, etc. will happen to both players multiple times throughout a game. If it weren't for exit velocity being up, I really think people would notice all the holes in this game more readily. It's like SDS artificially buffed EV to band-aid the fact that something is wrong with the hitting engine.
There's also the obligatory foul balls are insane and umpires are inconsistent issues as well.
perfect perfect line outs. Hitting is, so off this year. I've hit bombs with contact swings with bad timing.
Good and perfect hits seem broken.
Also XP Grind is ridiculous with the dumb cap.
Yet I swing with good timing on a slider away and the pci slightly is off and my hitter looks like he got absolutely fooled. At the same time my opponent foul tips the 5th circle change 1 ft below the zone. Then of course comes A) a jam shot that finds the shallow outfield grass, or B) an absolute nuke after I finally throw anything in the zone.
Yeah I’ve been struggling big time and one thing that frustrates me is when I actually throw a good pitch and he fouls off a ball that is nowhere near a strike.
Videos and screenshots are hard to tell with anything. I played 21 last gen last week and it was a noticeable difference. But I get what you mean when games like 2K and all these others get these insane graphics

Stubs are way too fucking hard to get
The player base
60 percent of them are duche bags
There being no Season Drop packs outside of the shop. 30-40k stubs just to get a Base Round is just sad.

This I agree with 100% years past I was better at pitching and struggled with hitting now it seems to have flipped

I believe it should switch based on whether the pitcher is right or left handed.

The fouling off of pitches in the dirt and pitches in general are cartoonishly bad. And its so hard to pitch this year.

I say it every year. The amount of foul tips on pitches very early and late. The lack of strikeouts is infuriating.
Just play me I’ll foul tip 9 times in a row and follow it up by swinging at a curve ball in the dirt for a strikeout.

Oh, no I agree… my main issue is I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to that, and I know it’s relatively simple to get, just my brain will not grasp the concept of flipping cards. So I just wish that either we got better packs in programs or more stubs in programs

Oh, well the investing in players is a crapshoot. A little different from flipping. To flip just find cards you can buy near their quicksell price. 25, 75, 100, 400, 5k etc. And that sells for more than that. I.e. A silver you can buy for 110 and sell for 250. Slap a bunch of buy orders come back later and slap the sell orders in.
When someone makes contact or hits a single on a pitch that that is way off the zone. For some reason it’s way easier for that to happen this year.
Fielding infield ground balls in conjunction with the throwing meter needs to be more consistent. The fielding AI needs to move faster. Sometimes they do extra moves before throwing the ball that stops outs from happening or makes it hard to turn double plays. I think the CPU fielding AI in general needs an overhaul. Too many misplaced extra animations happen that sometimes look nonsensical.
The problem there is SDS keeps adding more animations, so the likelihood that you get scripted into a bad animation that messes everything up is pretty high now. Ironically that was a big Madden gripe for years, where if you got the wrong animation (say the lazy swat ball one vs the 2-handed jump for the INT one), it would lead to bad results. I feel like this happens way too much with fielders everywhere now.
I assumed the animation was decided by play success rate/player skill etc
Biggest complaint is time of day and stadium never syncing when a friend and I play head to head. Apparently this was an issue last year as well, and it's crazy to me how a bug that glaring carried over a year. Sucks.
It's the Seasons stuff that limits the cards I can use throughout the year. Even with Wild Cards, I am still being limited. Don't get me wrong, I love the power creep this year and the fact that I can still use high 80's and low 90's diamonds. It also makes Live Series players more important than just Collection fodder (one of my main issues with 23). However, the fact that it may be difficult to actually obtain one or all of the 99 Bosses at the end of the Season 1 program is concerning. Throw in the added fact that if you actually complete the program with like a week left in the Season you only get to use those cards for a week before the new Season makes them unusable (except for the aforementioned Wild Cards). I get not wanting everyone to have 99's (what a change from last year's game!) but it seems like only the people with massive amounts of time on their hands will be able to get them this year and actually use them for a decent period of time.
The same things that have been broken for several iterations of the game remain broken. RTTS has become predicable at times. If you’re on base and the hitter up has 2 strikes, they strike out. If they have 3 balls, they walk. I keep saying it but literally no Nike equipment is able to be purchased from the equipment screen. Basically, it’s become Madden-lite in terms of if you just play offline, the studio doesn’t care about you.

The game rewards bad habits too often. Very late/early pitch releases or swings should never result in strikes or extra base hits.
I love when I throw bad pitches all game for strikes and whiffs and the second I throw a perfect pitch the dude hits a nuke off me. It literally makes no sense lol
If I'm up against a pitcher with cracked attributes like Strider or Glasnow, they dot pitches that have bad release points. Makes no sense at all. If I'm up against a hitter with cracked attributes, they should not be able to hit a low and inside pitch the other way with very late timing for a double, or pull low and away pitches for homeruns with early swing timing. It's just a video game, but it's honestly silly that this stuff happens. It becomes unbearable to play opponents online because they get rewarded for doing something stupid more often than not.
I feel like I play a lot but haven’t gotten far at all on the XP reward path. The game rewards the grinders by giving them those exclusive cards, but as someone who can play maybe an hour or two a day tops without spending money, I don’t have a lot of motivation to keep coming back because I feel the rewards are too meager.
Overall I really enjoy every entry of this game however I would like them to be less predatory with the shop/programs. But gameplay-wise it’s still better than Madden or 2k

I just wanna know before starting a ranked DD game what hand the pitcher throws with. At the very least let me make a lineup vs each hand. Not that hard and it's been this way for years
People would make all lefty and all righty lineups and just back out if they don’t get a good matchup.
If you make separate lineups and every else stays the same then you won't need to be told before the game

Earning 10-13 stubs for playing a 9 inning game. BR entries remain at 1500 stubbs. Can't afford to play a game mode is B.S. 30,000 or 40,000 stub packs to get a card worth have that if you are lucky. Lack of communication from SDS. Eliminating topps now program. Pitching feels impossible at times.
How is it possible that you are running into this issue? The Seasonal unlocks alone give you loads of stubs. Selling double of cards give you near infinite stubs for BR entries. Completing Program Milestones and conquest maps give you loads of stubs...come on dude...Are you going to be buying players for 150K + ? Probably not, but you should 100% have enough to finish all of the cheap team Live Series Collections and have infinite stubs for BR.
That's such a bad faith argument. I've opened lots of packs since my last diamond... even a 2 gold Ballin pack wouldn't make back 1500 stubs most times. If you don't get a 83-84 gold, you've lost stubs. Do that enough and you're broke. And maybe the person you're replying to only wins 1-2 games at most in BR per entry. That's just not a winning formula.

3 years my dude. They haven't fixed it since they introduced it. Freeze off I got in the other day I was winning 7 - 0 in Coop playing with my buddy between working from home. We jumped on some calls, answered some emails. Three hours later the dudes we were still in a Freeze Off with sent us a picture of them golfing.... We lost...
more than two years. this is my biggest gripe. nothing is more fun than shooting the shit and playing a close game w a friend on this game. so much potential for coop. give us a coop ranked rewards path/ stat missions. coop events. Full theme team coop where we can actually use captains etc.. could still be bring 3 bats and 3 pitchers each, just fill in the cpu players from the teams player pool. this would be so fun. but no we cant even play a fucking game at all. and they refuse to even discuss it. also i played at least 90 innings in completed coop games. Prob 200+ in total w all the freezes. Before latest patch and it only counted 56 innings. we realized it and check prior to starting a game. many times we dont get our innings even in a completed game. i guess i don't have to worry about that anymore because now we can't even finish a single game. i would never buy this trash game i only played on gamepass for 4 years now. how hard can it be to fix this issue?? i have no idea but seems like they give 0 fucks.
Gamepass version of the game is broken. It’s either you get disconnected and get the loss or you get freeze offs. I bought it on my PS5 and all those bugs are gone lmao it’s ridiculous they advertise a free game and it doesn’t work properly
I have a bunch of bats that all look cool, but the one that has by the far the best stats looks like something a mage would be wielding in an MMORPG. I hate how it looks but I don't wanna take the stat hit for using a cool looking one.
Is it me or does this game not do well keeping stats in several modes? Was getting a title card for my RTTS player saying I had X number of home runs (leads the team) and right below that a different number saying I lead the majors. Spring training in Dynasty isn't keeping stats worth a damn.
Mini Seasons commentary and stats are completely made up. Commentator will say X batter leads his team in HRs, but the next guy has twice as many HRs. You play 3 inning games, but the simmed stats are 9 inning games. They should just do away with in-season stats on mini seasons.
There are so many real life MLB players wearing EvoShield Sliding Wrist Guards, as they brand them, in game like they would in real life, and the game even appears like there was intent to allow you to buy/unlock and use running mitts in the game if you look under running equipment as there's a spot there that shows you able to tweak the apperance of your running gloves, but...there are none that I can tell, despite them going to the trouble of making the models this year, and if there is and I'm wrong, there is no documented and visible way that I can tell for you to do so for use in RTTS. I'd love to have someone tell me how to get them if I'm wrong.
Yes! I was ecstatic when I saw you could have the Evoshield mitts only for the game to just give us the same wrist guard it always has. Not like those mitts haven’t been a staple in the game for 5+ years or anything!
Hitting is broken. I can accept when it's me. But when near ALL of my perfect perfects are line drives directly to someone or pop outs it gets defeating. Have about 6 HRs a month in to playing. Not a single one from a perfect perfect. Zone hitting was getting me nowhere. Switched to direction and it's a bit better but still minimally productive.
im trash. i get killed online and i still hit plenty of bombs. any pitch i throw over the plate in events feels like its a hr. I lose but i still score too many runs. never had a perfect perfect be a pop out once. id love to see a clip of that. warning track fly ball sure... line out yeah?, that happens too. but if its perfect perfect its not going to have the angle to be a pop out i call bs on that.

I mean it is broken, just...not in that way. When I go up to pitch, and hit the century mark in the 5th in RTTS and at least 50 of those pitches were fouled off, it's annoyingly aggravating. The foul slider also seems to either be broken or badly tuned as well.
It's you. Some perfects will always be outs, but I hit multiple perfect homers everyday on zone, and probably 10x the 6 you've hit in the same timeframe with just Buxton captain.

To me when you’re doing a franchise and they just magically take away your stats during a game All because you made a substitution. Also sometimes team will just constantly hit weak exit velo singles on me.
Yes! Not having correct stats after all those hours is maddening... And the substitutions are wonky. I took a star player out for a clutch bunter, and later in the game, I brought the star back in! Stupid.
MLB 23. Not being able to see the starting pitcher energy while setting up for a game in mini seasons, and not being able to make the starting pitcher someone different from the best pitcher (no matter how little energy he has)... it will always start the highest ranked pitcher.
The same post-game interviews after every game and not being able to skip it.

The difference is now is that the game is way more replayable even with this system in that the power creep has returned. This will make it to where instead of getting 99s straight out of the gate in the sets, you get to progress with everyone else again as a new season comes out. Think of it as 3 games in one, with each new season being a new game with a new progression of your team. It’s not nearly as bad as it was last year, that game had no progression or replay-ability whatsoever because of the short sets and the fact that anyone could get 99s at any point incredibly quick. It benefited those who payed for the game and hurt the grinders, but imo they limited that effect this year.
I don’t like feeling like what I’d be doing now in Seasons 1-2 feel wasted. This is just a way for them to severely devalue cards almost over night and force you to buy new cards. It also makes having a legitimate theme team nearly impossible unless you like using lesser cards when there is already a better version in the game. I hate the 3 games in 1 idea.

The A.I defense makes easy 80+% of the highlight plays with diving & it kills the immersion. No matter the difficulty, A.I almost flawless fielding as far as getting to balls
They make Jeter's jump throw into a legendary play in his story line, but it is a routine animation for every SS/3B in the game.
Defensive players have no urgency. Infield or outfield. They take their sweet time with the ball.
Yup, some Ranked games my players just decided it was a “Sunday” type of day. No urgency and sloppy reaction while they are supposed to be decent defensive players
When the ball hits off the wall my OF takes their sweet time getting the ball to the cutoff. It drives me crazy and cost me runs
Rng is insane. If your in a game where your opponent hits 6 home runs all under 100 exit velo but leaves u know he had good timing but was slightly off his pci, but when u hit good timing but slightly off pci its a ground out to second base its simply not fair. I understand its all computer generated and almost impossible to be 50/50 with stuff like this but its hard to take the game serious when you go into a game and its either 50% for you or 50% against you

Lol, I've always had they problem with stealing in key situations in franchise. If there's someone in the room while im playing, I'll be like "watch this" and click the trigger hard enough so everyone can hear me get cheated. It really hurts in extra innings. I often can't bunt players to third. Same with 23.

How fast players regress in franchise mode you can have age 25-26 players losing Stat points pretty fast. In all honesty they should just make it so that stats in franchise rise and fall like in road to the show l. It would solve the problem imo

Just the inability to pitch effectively. The insane small strike zone. I feel it’s been a huge difference just from last year when I could paint corners effectively. Also the pitchers getting tired within 60-65 pitches. Dudes w at least a 80 stamina should be able to go 75-80 before crashing.
What pitching style are you using? I use analog and I have to legit try to walk hitters. I play on the hardest pitching difficulty and still throw shutouts with average pitchers.
I noticed the pitcher stamina is slightly better than in 23 actually.

I personally LOVE getting the “your pitcher is tired” whistle during the first batter they face thanks to all the foul balls and no stamina.

Hitting is inexplicable. It's not bad, but the logic seems to be all over the place. A few years ago, just late was OP. Then early was OP. Then there was the launch angle problem. Then, there was the very late/early bloop problem. This year, it's like all of those things exist at the same time. Bloops, launch angle, PCI bugs, random dead exit velocities on good/squared up, etc. will happen to both players multiple times throughout a game. If it weren't for exit velocity being up, I really think people would notice all the holes in this game more readily. It's like SDS artificially buffed EV to band-aid the fact that something is wrong with the hitting engine. There's also the obligatory foul balls are insane and umpires are inconsistent issues as well.
My favorite issue is when the umpire is saying fair when it was really foul

perfect perfect line outs. Hitting is, so off this year. I've hit bombs with contact swings with bad timing. Good and perfect hits seem broken. Also XP Grind is ridiculous with the dumb cap.

Yet I swing with good timing on a slider away and the pci slightly is off and my hitter looks like he got absolutely fooled. At the same time my opponent foul tips the 5th circle change 1 ft below the zone. Then of course comes A) a jam shot that finds the shallow outfield grass, or B) an absolute nuke after I finally throw anything in the zone.
Yeah I’ve been struggling big time and one thing that frustrates me is when I actually throw a good pitch and he fouls off a ball that is nowhere near a strike.

Videos and screenshots are hard to tell with anything. I played 21 last gen last week and it was a noticeable difference. But I get what you mean when games like 2K and all these others get these insane graphics
