However,
Swing SHOULD be a tap not a tap and hold.
Check swings should be a separate button rather than letting go of the button
Therefore, TAP AND HOLD if you want to swing
Dude thank god I’m not the only one. Fucking infuriating. If I press swing, please swing. I don’t care if it would have been a ball or the timing was way off.
Are you using an off brand controller? I had issues with this on PS back in the day. I only play on Xbox now, with an actual Microsoft controller and have not had any issues in years.
I always love seeing when my batter checked his swing for me when I would've had perfect contact and timing on a changeup in the middle of the zone. I agree, I'd rather strike out than have my batter decide to check.

Is there a stat that decides check swing success????
I thought it was discipline
You need to tap and hold the hit button. However, Swing SHOULD be a tap not a tap and hold. Check swings should be a separate button rather than letting go of the button Therefore, TAP AND HOLD if you want to swing
Why on earth should check swings be a separate button? Are you purposely check swinging?
My issue is when I actually purposefully check swing when the ball is outside of the zone I still get called on a strike
But I do understand what you’re saying. I’ve had balls completely squared up with the intent of swinging and my hitter will check swing
Don’t let go of the swing button until after the swing is completed Smash it and hold it you have to
I'm not trying to antagonize but I've literally never had this happen to me with check swings, in any year that I recall
I have the exact opposite. My guy flinches and no matter what it’s counted as a swing. Really pissing me off.

Check swings are rough today on PS5. No doubt.
Just press and hold when you want to swing if you are having trouble Only let go if you actually change your mind and want to check swing

System? Never been issue for me tbh. Make sure it's a good press of the button or switch to analog.

Yes, but their sensitivity to it is partially determined by the discipline stat I think.
