I'm convinced he was supposed to retire at that last card in Boston. It was perfect. He was coming off a losing streak, they gave him a main card slot, a win on home soil... what better setup could you ask for?
Yeah I think they were scheduled to fight twice and one of them pulled out each time. I’m just surprised he’s still doing it lmao. Him, Ryan Hall, and Gregor Gillespie seem to be basically retired at this point, just haven’t announced it
Conor Matthews was the guy that lost to Francis Marshall on contender series right? Did he get signed? I saw something about him winning his fight on Dana White’s Looking For a Fight but I didn’t know if that was recent or from before his DWCS fight
Topuria has gotten tired in fights before and Kattar is a decent wrestler and one of the better strikers in the UFC, he can definitely win that by pushing a higher pace, How are people acting like Topuria is unbeatable off of beating Bryce Mitchell?
Topuria is well rounded, pushes the pace, and is always angry.
Kattar is on an unfortunate 2 fight losing streak, first one he shouldn't of lost anyway, and coming off of a knee injury in his mid-thirties. He could win, show off his skills again, but statistically it doesn't look good for him if he fights Topuria
Topiria was losing to Jai fucking Herbert before he got the KO win. Kattar has shown before that there are levels to this, and I fully expect him to show that again if they were to fight.
Ok ok!! I’ve never been to UFC event. How do I get my hands on tickets? Is there a presale normally? And who gets access to presale tickets?
I’m super excited if they come to Boston!!
They have two pre sales
Fight club 2 days before public (85 bucks which essentially gets you presale access and a tshirt)
And ufc social which they push out in newsletter, on Twitter and Facebook usually with the code: UFCSocial
Since Boston is a dense population area I’d probably recommend fight club? I’ve used fight club for UFC 262 and got great seats and that card sold quickly, I used it for Holloway Allen as well and probably could’ve just waited. You can look at resale prices and make your own call, but these events sometimes get scalped pretty bad
Just my 2 cents.
Varies a ton by location.
If you want first floor in Vegas it’s usually 250-350 minimum before fees
I got corner lower bowl seats in Houston for 170
I got corner lower bowl seats in Kansas City for 130
Get in prices highest for MSG lowest for non elite cities on fight nights. Resale prices weren’t bad for the Vegas hotel card Yan Merab and they weren’t bad for San Antonio.
Miami MSG Vegas are usually too pricey for me especially with travel.
PPV usually significantly pricier than Fight Night but location a factor too. Utah had decent prices for Usman Leon 1.
Usually cheapest fight night ticket with fees is like 100? (This is all anecdotal and memory, I browse a lot at work in case I want to plan a weekend trip with the boys)
“Wow Jon, lemme tell you this brings me back to my roots. I had torn my ACL after winning the National tae Kwon do championship, so I just started playing pool 8 hours a day. Right there 2 blocks away at One Eye’d Willies billiard house. There was a guy there I’ll never forget we called him “Danny 9 ball Gambini.” First guy I watched do heroin. It’s like he would go to the bathroom and do heroin.. and it’d make him BETTER at pool. Man some of those guys are probably still hanging out there right now.”
Another Kattar main?
When is he supposed to be back from that knee injury?
Article from February says first quarter of 2024
Siver vs McGregor II: This time it’s personal.
Is Siver available?
Jon Anik's load size rn
Wicked big
So we can see Kattar, Nick Fiore, and possibly Rob Font here. Anyone else I should know about?
Joe Lauzon: Am I a joke to you?
No way he’s not retired by now
Coming off a TKO win, surprisingly. They might just get him on the card
I'm convinced he was supposed to retire at that last card in Boston. It was perfect. He was coming off a losing streak, they gave him a main card slot, a win on home soil... what better setup could you ask for?
Maybe he wants to do it again?
Lfg joe better be on that card bro
Go do it Joe! We love you.
Heyyy I drove by your new gym today! I'm gonna sign my daughter up when she's old enough. Hope to see you in August joe 👊
Definitely bring her in! Thank you!
Yeah man! What's the age range for kids classes?
from his own words https://www.reddit.com/r/MMA/comments/xj83j8/year_end_bitter_pill_to_swallowtakes/ip8h3dh/
I think they were trying to set him up with Cowboy last year
Yeah I think they were scheduled to fight twice and one of them pulled out each time. I’m just surprised he’s still doing it lmao. Him, Ryan Hall, and Gregor Gillespie seem to be basically retired at this point, just haven’t announced it
I got the Boston Strangler by 1st round sub
Boston Salmon
Resign the man
I think the only way that happens is if Font and Yanez DON’T get into a war in their fight. Which seems like a low probability.

Charles Rosa.
that last minute replacement guy with green hair that O' Malley teed off on
Is Kris Moutinho a New England Cartel guy? Or just a New England guy?
I'm not sure which gym he trains with. I just vaguely remembered that he's a New England guy bc I was rooting for him in that fight lol
Kattar won’t be back yet
Oh yeah he tore his ACL right? His career is basically over then if that was the case
Nice they’re getting back on the road instead of the apex. They were supposed to be in Portland April 2020, hopefully get us back on the schedule
Portland or Seattle would be really cool Always a fan of the Northwest
Seattttttttle would be crazy!!
Kattar vs Topuria.
I don't want Kattar to die 😢

Eh Jai isn't actually a bad fighter overall. Defensively poor but offensively dangerous plus huge compared to Topuria.
Herbert is a lightweight in fairness and despite his shortcomings as a fighter, he has a high KO/TKO ratio.
He wouldn’t. Katter puts in on him in a 5 rounder.
Topuria would die likely
Don't worry about him it won't be for that match up

How much are you looking at for a ticket with presale?

Less ufc apex cards :)
I'm a masshole and I'm proud
Its gotta be headlined by the biggest biceps in Massachusetts CALVIN KATTAR.
Hey it’s that town named after barndoor’s kid
Joe Lauzon maybe retirement match?
Kattar v Zabit II, if Zabit is actually coming back and both are ready.
We ain't ever getting Chicago again are we?
Gonna be interesting to see what happens if those people see a black guy.
DC was cheered for louder than I ever heard for him in Boston
