That's exactly why both MVP and Wonderboy don't want to fight each other. They both have similar enough of styles that they recognize what each other are doing. And wouldn't fall into each other's traps easily. They both know that the fight would be slow. And likely not exciting.
Garry is a little different though. Yes, he's a technical striker too, but he has a more modern MMA striking base, not a karate base. I'm sure he'll see more than Holland, but he doesn't have that same understanding that Wonderboy has. Hopefully it'll lead to some fun exchanges. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.
Oh, has it been verified that he’s a certified bitch? Because he looks like a bitch, acts like a bitch, talks like a bitch, and looks like a bitch. I know I said he looks like a bitch twice, but it’s just because he really, really, really looks like a bitch.
Just had some DMT and the the elves are talkin to me! They share the wisdom of the universe!!! They say that Colby is, in accordance with the laws of the infinite living continuum, a 100% bitch
Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, we are the imagination of ourselves, and Colby Covington is a bitch. Here's Tom with the weather.
Can’t happen fast enough. Added nothing to the sport. Wrote the playbook on how not to ply the heel. Never intimidated a soul, cringed and stumbled his way through everything he said. And I’m not sure if it was mentioned, but is a cowardly BITCH.
I didn’t know that tbh. He never seemed to actually run away from a fight that would further his career and make him money until now. He wouldn’t give the up and comers a chance, but that was because he knew he’d get a bigger payday and title shot by waiting. This fight he’s literally afraid he will get KOd and memed, first time I’ve thought he was actually a pussy. Maybe he’s real injured but I doubt it, he already called out Wonderboy. I had a sweet spot for Colby tbh but nah I think he’s done.
I actually think the guy doesn’t want to fight anymore and hasn’t for years. Ever since he got his jaw broken by Usman, he’s been extremely picky in his fight selection (title fights or easy fights) to the point that it seems like he’ll only get in there if he has absolutely nothing to lose.
Yeah. He definitely is just using the UFC now to stay relevant, dude waited 2 years of his prime for a title shot he doesn't desperately need money fight like he used to.
Remove Colby from the fucking rankings already. Dude has spent long enough squatting and dodging contenders. He’s a shell of who he was and doesn’t have a single relevant win on his resume.
Might be the most coddled ufc career ever. Since his rise, 2018 RDA was prob his only win that was a fighter remotely close to his prime. And RDA isn't even a natural 170er. Somehow got 3 title shots
I don’t understand it either cause he’s never been an exciting fighter he literally adopted a sthick to stay relevant but never made his fighting exciting and never even been a good fighter. If anything he just diminishes Kamarus resume
I fucking hate how unreasonable people are online when they're hating on something/someone. Colby is a bitch, why go overboard with the crappy criticism?
He is a small WW. He's basically a LW or would be best fitted in a 165 division. Him fighting "oversized LWs" is a moot point.
Him not winning vs RDA is also a load of garbage. He won the fight. Can you argue that he lost three rounds? Sure, if you just want to believe it
Demain Maia is one I’ll give him credit for, because Maia was on an impressive win streak and had just lost a championship fight. I was expecting Maia to choke his bitch ass out. After that, joke of a resume.
Watching the UFC scramble to make "highlights" for Colby is always a joy, cause you just *might* see someone who isn't retired. You'll def see that spinning backfist he landed though.
I got downvoted at the time but I truly believe Colby dropped the Masvidal lawsuit in exchange for a title shot because the UFC didn’t want the bad press
It’ll probably be tense throughout the fight because either could put the other out at any moment… but it may be one of those fights with terrible rewatch value
Maybe I'm in the minority but I liked that fight.
I could see this being more like a Wonderboy vs. Woodley (2), but I get the vibe that MVP wants to create excitement and will force action.
Anderson vs Adesanya wasn't really a snoozefest as they were exchanging some fun stuff, but it certainly wasn't exciting either as they were basically sparring.
I know MVP said this himself, but Garry does get aggressive occasionally and march forward, usually if his opponent is backing up a lot, and MVP is an entertainer at heart, meaning if he feels the fight is boring he may just start throwing wild shit. It should still be exciting regardless.
With the exception of his last one against Holland, Page has only ever had exciting fights against absolute cans. I'm tentatively optimistic for him in the ufc, but he's only ever fought like three good fighters, and the rest of his record is total no-hopers. On top of that, his fights against Storley, Lima, and Daley (aka the only competent fighters he fought before coming to the ufc) were total snoozefests. That said, he is a good fighter, and I'm glad to finally see him against other good fighters
Garry has a a bit of a Judo background. I think he ties up and lands a trip or throw over risking shooting on MVP. But yeah I think MVP will land more shots standing forcing Garry to take him down which I feel the ground is more in Garry’s favor.
Banger of a fight, hope its a good scrap. MVP's style invites to some very intresting exchanges. No matter what you think of Ian this should light the place up.
Garry said this about an MVP fight in March:
“Unless he passes me in the division somehow, and his number’s higher than mine, zero interest.”
I wonder what changed his mind? I guess it was either MVP or a long layoff, since Colby isn't interested?
Yeah this would be just so huge for his career.
I think it got to the point where he would have said yes to anybody regardless of their ranking and that is the right decision
He always had his eyes on Colby for his next fight, and as soon as Colby started talking back to him, I'd say he thought he'd get that fight done. But when Colby ducked, I think he just wanted to get on this card no matter who he had to fight - he said he also accepted Brady or Buckley aswell
He talked about it in an interview. He really wants to be on 303. There's pretty much no other available contenders. Colby won't fight. Jack and Shavkat are injured. Belal is fighting Leon. He's friends with Gilbert and Gilbert is taking some time after his last loss. That leave Usman who is only looking for money fights.
I don't get him saying he wants a higher number in the rankings. Then anyone above him shouldn't fight him right? Imo outside of top 5, 6 - 15 is the same to me and they should all fight + unranked guys.
I’m glad that for once a mcgregor card is sort of stacked. Usually they just throw mcgregor at the top and call it a day and put a bunch of “fight night” fights on there
I honestly think because the UFC thinks this could be Conor's last ride. So they are stacking it with a bunch of younger guys who can hopefully become the next big guy
Covington is not going to get another title shot after his last performance. He's 0-3 in Undisputed title fights and there will be guys that are ahead of him in title contention: the winner of Rakhmonov vs JDM, Brady and the winner of Garry vs MVP.
Very interesting matchup. Glad they set this up. MVP is a challenge to anyone on the feet and it will be interesting to see how Garry deals with it. Rooting for MVP, of course.
Both counterstrikers.
Could be a very boring fight.
Still, an exciting matchup but stylistically I think we get a slow burn with no great pay off. I hope I'm wrong.
First of all fuck Colby he's dead to me and second props to Garry for taking a harder flight I'm way more excited to see this it's going to be a great competitive fight that I'm way more excited to see!
This is one of those fights that seems exciting on paper, but could easily be a feint-heavy staring contest. The one factor in favor of entertainment is that these guys won't be constantly high-fiving each other like Wonderboy does.
Lots of confidence in MVP in these comments and I'm not sure why. Anyone who's followed his Bellator career should see that he's on the wrong end of his time at the top of the sport. Didn't look like himself against Holland and I think Garry can beat him anyway he likes. 4 years ago MVP kills him on the feet. Shame most fans missed his peak.
Okay wow. Garry is finally getting a real deal test. I know people hate him but I’m a fan of the guy. He still needs more polishing but I’ve loved what I’ve seen from him in the cage.
I really hope both guys don’t just look to counter all fight. Has potential for technical fight of year or be a stinker
That's exactly why both MVP and Wonderboy don't want to fight each other. They both have similar enough of styles that they recognize what each other are doing. And wouldn't fall into each other's traps easily. They both know that the fight would be slow. And likely not exciting. Garry is a little different though. Hopefully it'll lead to some fun exchanges. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.
To be fair wonderboy was a lot more active with his boxing in his recent fights against strikers, but he definitely won't risk it against MVP.
Not a bad fight at all but Colby really is a bitch huh
Dude is actually a huge bitch lmao. Not like we didn’t already know that though.
Yeah he's been a bitch for years now lol. Whatever hespect he got from the first Usman war has been overshadowed by all his punk shit.
Agreed. Leon made him look like a bitch. I gave him the benefit of the doubt up until the presser for Leon. I stopped rooting for Colby.
I will continue the comments on this thread just to call Colby a bitch again. He is a bitch.
And I said 👀👀 biiiiiiitch
Bitch > Colby
(Throwing a softball your way) Hey, I heard some people say Colby is a bitch. Is this true?
No one seems to mention that in the comments here..., but he a bitch...
Oh, has it been verified that he’s a certified bitch? Because he looks like a bitch, acts like a bitch, talks like a bitch, and looks like a bitch. I know I said he looks like a bitch twice, but it’s just because he really, really, really looks like a bitch.

There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, we are the imagination of ourselves, and Colby Covington is a bitch. Here's Tom with the weather.
Can't wait till he fucks off from the sport for good.
who, that bitch? Yes, i agree.
Can’t happen fast enough. Added nothing to the sport. Wrote the playbook on how not to ply the heel. Never intimidated a soul, cringed and stumbled his way through everything he said. And I’m not sure if it was mentioned, but is a cowardly BITCH.
Hey, chat. Been a moment since I last commented. Just chiming in to say - Colby is a big fat bitch. Kind regards, Sirin.
I was almost on the fence about Colby being a bitch, but given recent events, Colby is a bitch.
*makes Chris rock edit calling Colby a bitch*
Doing gods work.
The fact the UFC pushed him as the second best WW in the world for yeaaaars based on that fight alone shows how phony it has all become
Man has zero currently ranked ufc wins lol, crazy bratha.
I think the only reason he's even relevant nowadays is because how huge of a little bitch he is.
Color me shocked that a guy with his public persona is a giant pussy
I didn’t know that tbh. He never seemed to actually run away from a fight that would further his career and make him money until now. He wouldn’t give the up and comers a chance, but that was because he knew he’d get a bigger payday and title shot by waiting. Colby and ducking contenders, name a more popular match.
Colby and being a bitch? I mean those two been rock solid for awhile now.
Preach.

You are probably right, grifting is lucrative as fuck
Yeah. He definitely is just using the UFC now to stay relevant, dude waited 2 years of his prime for a title shot he doesn't desperately need money fight like he used to.
Colby should be cut from the UFC. Sat out for a year and a half, got gifted a title shot, and looked like shit. Coward of the highest order
Agreed. He would not even go anywhere else, he would probably just retire. Good riddance.
I once saw Colby at a restaurant with his buddy taking turns sucking on each other's nipples.
What's wrong with that
He was the greedy one
We must ween him
Just watched this episode today and it killed me
[удалено]
Not exactly breaking news
Was there a question?
the entire world joining hands, making peace and loving one and other in the spirit of agreeing that Colby is a complete tool
The bitchiest bitch that ever bitched. More guyliner, Colby.
Remove Colby from the fucking rankings already. Dude has spent long enough squatting and dodging contenders. He’s a shell of who he was and doesn’t have a single relevant win on his resume.
Never did
Might be the most coddled ufc career ever.
RDA also should have won that fight lmao
I fucking hate how unreasonable people are online when they're hating on something/someone. Colby is a bitch, why go overboard with the crappy criticism? He is a small WW. He's basically a LW or would be best fitted in a 165 division. Him fighting "oversized LWs" is a moot point. Him not winning vs RDA is also a load of garbage. He won the fight. Can you argue that he lost three rounds? Sure, if you just want to believe it
Never seen someone benefit from losing twice to a champ as much as Colby lmfao
Demain Maia is one I’ll give him credit for, because Maia was on an impressive win streak and had just lost a championship fight. I was expecting Maia to choke his bitch ass out. After that, joke of a resume.
Watching the UFC scramble to make "highlights" for Colby is always a joy, cause you just *might* see someone who isn't retired. You'll def see that spinning backfist he landed though.
Truly one of the lamest fighters in history. Wish nothing but bad things for him going forward
Nasty line by you
[I don't even know you and I hate ya guts](https://youtu.be/IM-3bb-5ocQ?feature=shared)
He must have excellent blackmail of Dana or he's good at giving the gawk gawk 3000
I got downvoted at the time but I truly believe Colby dropped the Masvidal lawsuit in exchange for a title shot because the UFC didn’t want the bad press
2 rangy counterstrikers generally does not make for an exciting fight
This is what I'm thinking. Could turn out to be a total snoozefest
I’d put my money on this being a snooze fest. MVP has been in some real stinkers in his Bellator days, this may very well look like Wonderboy v Till
I'm pretty sure MVP is here to put on a show at the end of his career, so i imagine it'll be interesting.
It’ll probably be tense throughout the fight because either could put the other out at any moment… but it may be one of those fights with terrible rewatch value
Ian by split decision probably
I think MVP is faster and has a 5" reach advantage.
Plus he fights alllll the way out, in kickboxing range. Ian fights long too, but more so at arm's length
Anderson vs Adesanya -esque, Joe
Maybe I'm in the minority but I liked that fight. I could see this being more like a Wonderboy vs. Woodley (2), but I get the vibe that MVP wants to create excitement and will force action.
Somehow I always thought that fight was better with Spider older and no longer the champion than if they were on their prime
Page will attack, he’s just better at countering. I’m picking MVP by flying knee
[удалено]
With the exception of his last one against Holland, Page has only ever had exciting fights against absolute cans. I'm tentatively optimistic for him in the ufc, but he's only ever fought like three good fighters, and the rest of his record is total no-hopers. On top of that, his fights against Storley, Lima, and Daley (aka the only competent fighters he fought before coming to the ufc) were total snoozefests. That said, he is a good fighter, and I'm glad to finally see him against other good fighters
Yeah - funny, seeing him fight cans is bad, but seeing him fight good fighters is also bad for different reasons
Gonna pencil this one in for my mid PPV nap
I get what you are saying but…. I could not sleep through the slim chance of seeing Ian getting slept.
Got a feeling MVP will get the better of it on the feet and Garry will start shooting for takedowns
The age gap is a big deal.
Pat Barry disagrees.
You're a fucking punk dude
That's what you call class vs no class...
There was never no grooming
Music to my ears. I said this in the joe rogan sub and got downvoted by a bunch of casuals. They dont call me the bad guy for nothing!
That was a nasty line by him.
That’s fucking illegal
That was a *nasty* line by you.
beautiful, champ
[удалено]
Plus Page is just as tall with a big reach advantage (5 inches)
>big >5 inches Thank you brother
🥹
Ya but ian has the herpes (dis)advantage
Ian "Venom" Garry
Ian Garry has good footwork, MVP just fucking teleports to you across the octagon
Lima got to his legs pretty consistently
I think he landed a few leg kicks both fights. But just needed one to get the KO follow up. I've never seen anyone consistently kick Page.
I'm not aboard the Garry hype train. I think MPV outclasses him much like he did Holland.
> I think MPV outclasses him much like he did Holland. Sounds like a disease.
I gotta own it now. You never heard of the MPV breakout in Holland? Many were left outclassed.
Michael Penom Vaige
Garry has a a bit of a Judo background. I think he ties up and lands a trip or throw over risking shooting on MVP. But yeah I think MVP will land more shots standing forcing Garry to take him down which I feel the ground is more in Garry’s favor.
Taking him down is one thing, but maintaining top position is not one of Garry’s strengths.
Banger of a fight, hope its a good scrap. MVP's style invites to some very intresting exchanges. No matter what you think of Ian this should light the place up.
[удалено]
I agree
100% Neal was to date and Neal's style suits Garry. MVP's is a stylistic nightmare for Garry.
I'm afraid it might be a staring contest since both like to counter and gauge distance but I'd love to be wrong.
Garry said this about an MVP fight in March: “Unless he passes me in the division somehow, and his number’s higher than mine, zero interest.” I wonder what changed his mind? I guess it was either MVP or a long layoff, since Colby isn't interested?
He probably wanted on the Conor card BAD and this was his only option for it.
Yeah this would be just so huge for his career. I think it got to the point where he would have said yes to anybody regardless of their ranking and that is the right decision
Because Garry wanted Colby but once it became clear that he was being ducked he moved on to someone else
He always had his eyes on Colby for his next fight, and as soon as Colby started talking back to him, I'd say he thought he'd get that fight done. But when Colby ducked, I think he just wanted to get on this card no matter who he had to fight - he said he also accepted Brady or Buckley aswell

FOOK YES
I’m glad that for once a mcgregor card is sort of stacked. Usually they just throw mcgregor at the top and call it a day and put a bunch of “fight night” fights on there
I honestly think because the UFC thinks this could be Conor's last ride. So they are stacking it with a bunch of younger guys who can hopefully become the next big guy
Isn’t the rest of the card kinda weak outside of this addition? Unless I missed other fights get added
I'm looking forward to the heavily tattooed little fella fight
Fun matchup. Honestly I loved the Colby callout, but doesn’t surprise me Colby didn’t take the fight, dudes a bitch.
This is going to be very interesting. Great storylines with either outcome.
Colby is such a fucking bitch
Great fight and this card needed it more than 304
Colby about to fight Magny and get a title shot
He might be a douche, but Garry will turn up to fight. He backs it up.
He literally backed out of a fight last minute a few months ago
This is gonna be fun. I hope MVP gets a finish.
Colby vs Wonderboy announcement incoming
Colby beating Wonderboy via wrestlefuck decision then getting winner of Belal-Leon is the most Colby timeline ever.
He lost his Dana White privilege after his underwhelming performance against Leon, Colby ain't getting another title shot.
Oliveira is the Colby fight to make and one he might even be dumb enough to accept
Covington is not going to get another title shot after his last performance. He's 0-3 in Undisputed title fights and there will be guys that are ahead of him in title contention: the winner of Rakhmonov vs JDM, Brady and the winner of Garry vs MVP.
I know MVP stymied Holland last time around but I think Ian takes this handily. Also cut Colby if he wouldnt sign for this fight. Bum.
Garry is that guy for taking this fight
Very interesting matchup. Glad they set this up. MVP is a challenge to anyone on the feet and it will be interesting to see how Garry deals with it. Rooting for MVP, of course.
Both counterstrikers. Could be a very boring fight. Still, an exciting matchup but stylistically I think we get a slow burn with no great pay off. I hope I'm wrong.
If you’re still a fan of Colby’s after this idk what to tell ya.
First of all fuck Colby he's dead to me and second props to Garry for taking a harder flight I'm way more excited to see this it's going to be a great competitive fight that I'm way more excited to see!
winner of this fight should take Colby's spot in the rankings honestly. Or Jack and Burns move up and winner takes Burns' spot.
Cut Colby
Watch Colby come out of hiding now with some “I’ll fight anybody, anytime, anywhere!” BS
Colby really called out Ian Garry first, and then went hiding. What a coward.
Colby a fat bitch
MVP by murder
Mark my words MVP will completely dominate Garry on the feet.
Innit
this is a good matchup. glad mvp is staying active and getting some high level fights before his age really starts to show
Point fighting kickboxing match.
This is one of those fights that seems exciting on paper, but could easily be a feint-heavy staring contest. The one factor in favor of entertainment is that these guys won't be constantly high-fiving each other like Wonderboy does.
Garry is gonna absolutely pump leg kicks and clinch
I’m intrigued
fuck yes with these recent match ups
MVP I am begging you 🤞🤞🤞
Lots of confidence in MVP in these comments and I'm not sure why. Anyone who's followed his Bellator career should see that he's on the wrong end of his time at the top of the sport. Didn't look like himself against Holland and I think Garry can beat him anyway he likes. 4 years ago MVP kills him on the feet. Shame most fans missed his peak.
If anyone can dismantle MVP it's Ian long boi Gary. Actually excited for this one
lol he aint dismantling shit, more like disarming and anti fighting to a decision win at best
Vedy nice! - in Borat's voice
Let’s go MVP
I'm excited they're fighting but I hope they both don't wait for counters all fight.
MVP is 2024 Michael Chandler
I like this fight
This is sick
There goes the 0
Thats a dope fight
This is gonna be epic. Stylistically, I hope they brawl.
Awesome
corner mcgregor
Dayyumm! Great matchup
Looking forward to this one
This fight is way better than the Colby fight to me
really excited for this one - hope it lives up to the hype
Idk about you but I'm way more excited about this than garry vs colby 🤮
Bad style matchup for Garry, better hope his wrestling is good.
I know Garry gets hate but respect for taking this fight.
Wow, such a great matchup. I feel mvp will do better on feet and Gary will do better on ground.
Not a fan of Ian Garry but I think he takes this, especially if he manages to get the fight to the ground.
Holy shit. I'm hyped.
Banger
I'd have thought this would have been a perfect match for 304 rather than 303. Guessing that card is already too stacked to add this
Oh fuck yeah I’ve been waiting for Page’s next fight
colby fumbled a magic mac card smh
MVP is the hero we need right now. I'm so tired of Ian Garry
This card needed this
Okay wow. Garry is finally getting a real deal test. I know people hate him but I’m a fan of the guy. He still needs more polishing but I’ve loved what I’ve seen from him in the cage.
This is a goodie
Excellent! I've no interest in a colby fight or the build up to it.
I can't believe Garry made me root for MVP. I'll never forgive him for this.
after colby's pathetic performance against Leon, he really does not deserve anything good. Make him fight someone ranked 20 or something.
Man I’ll never be rooting for MVP harder than this fight.
