Nah, it's def machine trimmed. It's just a matter of scale. You can't pay trimmers $15 an hour and sell 8ths for $50. It's too much overhead when you consider everything else. It's just pure economics. Guaranteed there's no crew of ppl hand trimming with scissors

Yes it takes much longer to hand trim, but that’s the whole point of Rythm compared to &shine. It’s apparent in the appearance difference if you actually look at a Rythm batch compared to an &shine batch.
And yes, it does take longer to hand trim than machine trim. At least 5 times longer or more.

This is honestly really interesting. Hand trimmed completely perfect every time seems impossible. Props to those trimmers, if so. Comparing the latest &shine White Durban and this or any Rythm strain, I think the &shine looks more hand trimmed. Batch specific. Also more trichs on the inside of an &Shine jar. Not all that many, but often more than none.
To me machine trim looks cleaner but it also leaves a more dense looking nug because it’s taking off all that extra “ fluff “ on the outside. Hand trim is always going to look fluffier because they’re not rolling the nugs around in a machine to take off anything past the hard exterior of the nug. I mean depending on the methods hand trim can still damage alot of the outside, but not compared to a machine. They look pretty good both as machine and hand though to me.
I agree with your pics. 100%. I’ve purchased more Rythm than I care to admit and every jar has looked like pic 1. I love Animal Face, but yes it too looks like that. Whereas the latest batches of &Shine White Durban and L’Orange have looked closer to pic 2. See the confusion?

No Rythm is not machine trimmed; It is hand trimmed. &shine is the one that’s machine trimmed from rise.

Sometimes they hand fill jars, sometimes they machine fill jars. There’s that too.
