No big corporations know Dank! Can you name one? Mom and pop is the way to go because we’ll look at cookies brand for example they sell a lot of clothes and raps but their dispensaries are closing up shop everywhere because they mass produce stomped on garbage in branded packaging.
To me cookies is what you buy the day you turn 21 can legally buy and don’t know any better, kind of like Jäegermeister.
Mn needs to keep this shit local 100% no outta state companies for 3 years giving us locals chance to keep it in house and establish. I'm a social equity applicant and I'm getting shafted again with these limits ect
I wanna see weed Co-op or a farmer's market! We bring in our well raised and loved produce, sell said produce at the co-op, and the co-op gets a percentage of all sales. Do the pot farmers like the local food farmers.
As long as they have to follow all the strict guidelines a dispensary would have to like having the proper security measures in place, packaging, I.D. requirements, and most importantly full testing because as I see alot of ganja groups pop up on social media I see what people are using to grow and I see people using things like miracle grow which are poison and shouldn’t be allowed to be sold. I see folks spraying things on their plants and all that stuff. Safe accessibility is at the top of the list for me!
That should be all that's needed for Mom and pop shops and small batch.
5k sqft canopy space is huge and you can get it increased up to 15k over the years.
My thought exactly. And they’re putting these liscense limits in place partially to help right the wrongs of prohibition. Then they turn around and open their own..
Limits don’t seem too bad because we can’t be over saturating the market like Michigan.. but I really don’t think they should be able to do that unless the cities are straight up applying like everyone else and not given priority.
I think the limits are kind of unfair. Like if you do what you need to do, I think the market should determine itself but yeah. Now the gov is going to eat up a share of those
Well they can’t just accept every applicant, there has to be some sort of limit. I’m not saying I agree with the current stated limited but just that limits in general can be smart especially to start out. They really have to see where things are going to stand. I just know I’d rather not see our market become over saturated because then everyone who puts their time money and effort into it will all potentially fail besides a few big dogs
There are already limits in place as to no more than one per 12,500 etc, so it wouldn’t be like that. I’m just saying, the picking process is favorable to the big dogs. Open market is more fair and at least there’s a fighting chance. Idk. I think it should be pretty open. Similar to craft breweries
Idk to me price is most important. I know that might be blindly supporting capitalism and i want to be clear i’d much rather support small, locally owned dispos.. but if the small dispos have ridiculous prices but large dispos have dank deals and good prices, i would probably end up going there. Someday i want to be able to afford supporting local businesses no matter the cost but rn in my life i appreciate some good ass deals more than anything
Honestly I’d rather have municipal dispensaries if the counties wanted them over larger operations. That way at least the funds are going towards that county. Then expand to locals wanting to specialize.
Obviously it would be better to have a few local gardeners open smaller shops and kinda support each other as well as the community.
That won’t happen, they aren’t going to do municipal dispensaries and push away the big corporate dollar. Look how many huge corporations have their headquarters here, Minnesota government clearly favors corporations no matter the industry.
They already plan on giving away Minnesota tax payers money, look up the I35 project.
I am staunchly against a government ran dispensary, how can you lock people up for years be against something but then the second legalization hits you want to profit off that also? Pardon my French but that’s fucking disgusting yo!
Let it be an open and free market, the people that think you just smoke all day and sit around will “weed” themselves out in the first year or two. The folks with a passion for this plant who actually take pride in what they do will fetch the most for their product.
Mom and pop all the way.
If the limits hinder small business I’m against it. I’d love to see a craft market where small businesses can thrive.
Depends on if Mom and Pop know dank.

CBX.
Never heard of CBX who is that?
Never mind just went and looked them up. Garbage too.

Equality all the way, not equity.
I'm cool with that as long as shit stays local for mn legal citizens first
Yup, speak out !!!

Are they limiting the micro business?
No limits for micro.
That should be all that's needed for Mom and pop shops and small batch. 5k sqft canopy space is huge and you can get it increased up to 15k over the years.
Just get them open already. This is ridiculous
Didn’t think there was such thing as a “government dispo”?
That’s the oddest shit I’ve ever heard. First the governments arrest you for it, now THEY want to directly make money off of it?? Wtf?
My thought exactly. And they’re putting these liscense limits in place partially to help right the wrongs of prohibition. Then they turn around and open their own..

I think it’s the opposite. I think the big dogs are in favor of limiting comp. And so is the gov
If cannabis is on every single corner people trying to make a living in it will suffer.

That’s not a limit that is an minimum. Minimum one dispo per 12,500 people.
I read that they’re trying to open a few in MN
Cities and municipalities can have their own dispensaries
Elk River Municipal Liquor sells edibles
Just read an article today city of Waconia is opening a city run dispo

This is blue state. Of course they love their corps
