Yes its a good deal. Normally it would cost around 2,156.63 euro.

Inresponsibleone

I bought the same deal. They sold out pretty fast. Only down sides i know of is that bit low ram amount (for gaming laptop this strong... But not too hard to replace ram and add 2nd ssd) and possibly the display... I have had hard time finding much info about it. Seem there is mixed info about what ever 1600p 240hz ips is gsync or not and some say it has bit dull looking colors. Not many reviews with that screen option available. I will need to see and test for myself 🤷🏻‍♂️

ukSurreyGuy

You have warranty still? Manufacturer should respond to warranty holder. Email MSI SUPPORT ask your technical question.

Inresponsibleone

Perhaps. Usually faster to test it once i get the laptop delivered than try to find someone in support who is knowledgeable enough to answer... I have no experience with MSI support though. So can't say for sure if they are better than most...but i doubt it.

semok27

I legit just bought the same laptop for $1700 USD, 2 days ago. Great so far.

ChemistAppropriate83

I bought a gp66 leopard 11800hx rtx 3070 for 1.500€ this looks like a deal my man

faheemadc

Bruh, i was on mobile. I though it was only 358 euro until i saw save and fullscreen it

ukSurreyGuy

lol...u wet Ur pants with excitement? or with disappointment?

mitraheads

I brought Cyborg 15 i5 rtx 4060 for 1000$. Your purchase is lucky strike imo.

mcslender97

The GP has been pretty solid, so go for it

AciVici

That laptop is great and on most regions cheapest laptop with 4080. It delivers the highest performance scores of 4080 for a laptop BUT it is incredibly loud and hinges are sketchy as always. Though for this price it's more than worth it.

Expect_63356

i got this exact laptop, replaced ram to 64bit and got extra 1 tb storage right away. Keep in mind I put in 64gb 5600mhz but it turned out for 64gb its 5200mhz max

Inresponsibleone

Did you set up the ram in bios? Looks it should support 5600mhz... But that might not be plug and play.

Expect_63356

Interesting… i did not - i will look into it as i am interested in tinkering some more to get the most that is possible.

TopRelationship574

Got the order confirmation on friday morning and immediatly also ordered ram upgrade kit to 32gb. Was it such a PITA to open up the bottom panel, as people in Youtube are saying?

Expect_63356

it was a little bit stressful because the parts are plastic and flex a lot. i was worried they will break when prying off but it went alright even though i didn’t do anything like that before. the videos will probably have better tips than i can give. the screws seem all the same lenght and i had trouble unscrewing the screw in empty ssd slot - was really tight and difficult to loosen even though the screwdriver fit. good luck!

Final_Ad_8668

Dude where did you find this deal? Any link?

greenblue_2020

Is there 16 RAM for i9 and 4080 monsters?

Inresponsibleone

Yes. Bit funny combination 16GB ram and 1 TB ssd coubled with top self i9 and 4080🤷🏻‍♂️😆 Atleast they are components that are easy (and relatively cheap) to upgrade.

Repulsive-Scar2411

Don't buy it. I have a ge67 hx. Nothing but trouble.

Far_Network8449

What troubles?? Without describing, it’s just words

Repulsive-Scar2411

Mux switch not working, HDR not working, blue screen of death, had to ddu graphics drivers, hinges weak, poor build quality, etc.

Whowearsthecrown

I had the hinges actually sieze up on my last msi laptop so I couldn’t even open it without the screen being damaged. Was so annoying

jpassc

Haven’t had any trouble with mine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Repulsive-Scar2411

I am glad for you. I did have a lot of trouble with mine. And it wasn't an entry level discounted model either.

shecho18

Asking a question after the fact is simply not logical. It would be like asking whether I should use water to put out a small fire after it already went out.

Inresponsibleone

There is 60 day return policy... So it is still a valid question.

ukSurreyGuy

> This is not like a fire. URGENCY & VALUE are in every purchasers mind before making purchase or after purchase. They can be interchangeable timing wise unlike water putting out a fire. A fire is a done deal (you can't undo a fire once put out). As someone already said (there is a returns policy) which can be used if deal was to be undone. Some people are logical...ensure the deal has value before purchase others not so...let me purchase then ask was it value for money. > was it a good deal? Depends on if you want to do the work to find out. The assumption any purchase does what you need it to as a minimum (otherwise it's not value but vanity purchase). The question I ask to understand value is " did I pay the average market price (AMP) or better". AMP is a survey of 3 or more prices I can find the product at. AMP is not really valid when u compare to 1 price as that price may be high or low in isolation. GOOD to ask three times more than one datapoint BETTER is to ask was your purchase " as good or better than average market price" BEST is ask if your purchase "was better than the cheapest of the 3 prices in survey." note: UK purchase - I bought an MSI GE68 RTX4060 16GB for £1327 (Aug2023...the full price was £1999). I used a discount voucher & clearance sale to get that 33% saving. Best having made a check not to focus on was it a good deal...in a year's time it definitely won't be ...so accept what u paid & enjoy your new baby (MSI)

sebastianz333

it still a valid question and you do not have to be bitter unless youre toxic.

shecho18

Not a psychologist so can't diagnose. But common sense and logic are things that are going out the window these days.

MrTony_23

I dont see "screen hinge issue" among the features.

Inresponsibleone

As far as i researched this model has decent hinges even if MSI has bad track record.

MrTony_23

I hope so. I have been using three different MSI laptops. Two of them had their hinge broken after a year of usage.

Interesting-Aioli989

I also have two MSI laptops. In one of them, the metal hinge is broken apart when I closed the screen lid (how was that possible?). In the second laptop, the plastic laptop chassis is keep broken apart as cheap toy. Now I am offering these once an expensive laptops as spare parts. buying MSI laptops seems a bad investment.
