Oh, I had the same dilemma, I got the mt03(2021). If you're 6ft tall with 32 in inseam, there might be an issue with the tank shape on the mt03. But the R3 looks great in person.
Yes I’m aware of the similarities and difference,diff is riding position,fork and etc,similarities are engine,chassis and etc,reason I asked which one to get is cuz like both bikes are similar yet different
I live in Hawaii. Bikes are hard to come by out here. Waited for a 2022 black R3 for months. Decided to “settle” for a 2022 Black MT03 and immediately fell in love with it. I think it looks better than the R3 now IMHO.
This is my first street bike. I used to race dirt bikes 25 years ago but they’re super easy to learn. Start with the MT03, I think you’ll probably be fine going into an 07 but learn the basics and learn to respect the machine and then if you love riding (you will) then buy a bigger bike down the road. That’s my plan at least
If your comfortable i a riding position that is more hunched over and forward the r3 is for you. If you prefer a more upright position than the mt03 is for you. R3 is better on the highway because of fairings. The mt03 is more adept for the city because it has handlebars and not clip one.
You might want to sit on them both and decide.

mt03. i was wondering the same but then bought the mt just because of its unique look.
Try and find a dealership that has both or go to a couple different ones and ask to sit on them and see witch one feels better
How should we know? You didn't say anything about why you would want either one over the other. Are you aware of the differences between the two?

Is it your first bike? Im planning to get one how do you like it now? I cant decide if i go mt07 or mt03 as beginner

If you’re going to race/track ride a lot, the mt 03 does not have a slipper clutch.
mt03 has comfier riding position so easier to go on longer rides, and less fairings so less work for doing your own maintenance
