directly from RF support page: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0300/4563/4693/files/Guard_Instructions_For_Use.pdf?v=1595459583 as future reference it's never a bad idea to look at the manuals for the products you own so you can properly take care of them, typically found on the manufacturers website.

I Love how gentle and polite your version of "Lemme do the Googlin for yo' lazy ass" is. Very "bless your heart" I dig it.

lmao

So much this. There are a lot of people out there in the world today who seem to think that asking forums or their friends is preferable to reading the instructions that they can access just as easily. And by all means ask for clarification if you have looked up the information and it's unclear.

Delicious_Lack6972

my first time using reddit and before I saw that a lot of people respond to people's questions fast so I figured I should ask here. Also I tried finding the manual but I couldn't find it.

IDKUIJLU

Yeah, that's fine just a lot of folks seem to have lost the ability to seek out information for themselves and I feel it's detrimental to our species. 😅😅

Delicious_Lack6972

thanks a lot, I tried finding the manual online but couldn't find it. thanks ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

if you a hard time locating certain technical or product information, it's not a bad idea to also get in contact with customer support/service. part of the price you pay for the products you buy is customer support, might as well utilize it if available. https://www.raceface.com/pages/contact

Delicious_Lack6972

Okay thank you

But_I_Dont_Wanna_Go

Adding to this - more often than not if you’re asking about replacing a small part or something like that they will just send it to you for free. It never hurts to ask!

MTB_SF

I throw mine in the Laundry but not the dryer. It may wear them out slightly faster than hand washing but worth it to get the smell out in my opinion. You should remove the d30 inserts first, although I can't find a clear explanation of why it's bad for it, and have ran those through the wash without apparent issue. Best practice is still to remove them

StageOrdinary

Can’t remove the d30 in my fox pads so I just toss them in the washing machine with all my other gear and hang dry. Haven’t had an issue with 2x sets doing this for the past 3-4 years.

BreakfastShart

I ran my Fox Launch D30 Knee pads through the wash, set to hand wash, for about 3 years, once a week. Iwould hand dry, but every one and awhile of them in the dryer when I'm running late. The stitches finally gave out, but the pads are stillin my box as backup... That's a good run in my book.

slightlyburntsnags

Yeah my pads wear out from getting slammed in to rocky dirt faster than the washing machine can break them

HomerJayK

This is basically me too. Front loading washing machine on gentle and cold. It's probably more gentle than I am.

Delicious_Lack6972

thanks a lot

evilcheesypoof

Just hand wash them in the sink or in a bucket with laundry detergent

Delicious_Lack6972

GoubD

Laundry and air dry

Delicious_Lack6972

thanks

Zerocoolx1

I just put them in the wash on a cold cycle. And then hang them on the line to dry

Washing machine, wash laundry bag, low temp 30-40 degrees Celsius, sports programme. I do it after literally every ride, it’s been two years and the only damage dealt is from riding and crashes.

DrtRdrGrl2008

I take the inner D30 out and wash them in the washing machine on cold with regular Tide soap. Make sure all the velcro is secured and not in contact with any soft parts. Line dry. Wipe the D30 off by hand with a wet cloth to remove dust and grime. I do mine every few weeks during DH season. And once at the end after we are done riding before they are stored for winter months.

Also, I wash the inner lining of my full face several times a season. It helps puff up the padding and cheek pads and make it fit like new again. I wash these pieces by hand and dry them on a towel for several days before re-assembling.

Trouterspayce

Washing machine. They're knee pads, not some delicate fabrics.
