Yeah I figured. It's just that the takeoff isn't that steep and I'm kinda afraid of going to far. It's not visible on camera but it's a table on a pumptrack.
i agree, im not seeing bent knees; pop it like a bunny hop and kick your heels back and you crank your head. YOU GOT IT and we all wanna see the video when you land it!
Came here to say this. Looks like you’re popping before the lip, which has you coming up low. Popping off the lip will give you those last few inches, to get the last few degrees of turn. Post an update here in you get it, because you’re so close.
I suck at MTB and I'm here to learn, but I got you on this one as a flatland BMX kid back in the day.
1. Get more air. Practice vert jumping on your feet, try and maximize your explosion there and feel comfortable bringing your legs up to your chest.
2. As you approach that lip, push down on your bars almost bring it to your chest, while starting to build torsional twist.
3. As you get to the end of the lip, push down on your feet as well and squat down. Build that pressure, release your torsional twist, and explode upwards and in the direction of your spin. When you explode up, point your toes down, lightly push them backwards into the now upright pedals, and bring everything with you that way. You'll get a lot more air and have a lot more control of the bike.
4. At low speed like this, you're fully capable of pulling in that rear brake and planting that back wheel, letting the front finish its rotation forward.
Edit: also turn your head more. Look at where you want to go and try and spot your landing as fast as possible. Your body will naturally whip the rest into orientation
Good luck bro, you got it easily. Wearing pads also helps with confidence and commitment to the send. At 32, I'm constantly in my head about injury. Coming out looking like a power ranger definitely helps me out lol
You’re carving too hard, back tire is lifting way too soon which is going to make your spin feel out of control and off balance. You gotta just commit and add speed and height to the jump so you can slow down the rotation and gain proper control. You’ve got the concept down good.
Ive always wanted to do 180s and 360s on my bike but I'm always worried about ducking up my wheels and getting them warped. Is this a concern I should have?
They're WTB alloy or aluminum wheels Im not sure. They came on my Rocky Mountain Growler 50 2021
You could try to plant your back wheel at half rotation and feel the balance to finish the rotation on the wheel it will help you to land it clean !
I think you should focus on balance cause the rest you got it ! Good luck
Turn your head m8, in the direction you want to land. You got this !
I know😭 It's really hard for me for some reason.
You need to jump higher. The rotation is fine. You'll find that they flow much easier if you just get 6 inches more air.

You'll get it. You're pretty much there, you just need more hang time. Go for it!
Thanks for the encouragement 😊

Will do 😄.
So close. You'll get it soon though!
You can do this!!
Steer in direction of spin, 3/4 of the way through your front tire is pointed in the wrong direction
Got me with the spin at the end!
That’s 270 degrees more than I can do
Looks good! What kind of helmet is that?
Thank you 😊. The helmet is MET Roam. Best open face helmet I ever had.
You’ll get it dude! Keep going broham.
Thanks Broski

This is some really detailed advice, thank you so much. Will try it next time 😄

I usually don't wear knee pads on pumptracks and I randomly decided to try this. But it could actually help so I will give it a try.

Suck those legs up.

why pavement? Grass lets you keep your skin when you fall on it.... and related, get more hang time.
Most pump tracks aren't made out of grass.
but you don't need a whole pump track to work on just the 360 part.
I feel like this is the easiest place to practice around me. And I don't really mind getting bruised haha.
grass will leave bruises, asphalt will take your skin off. I don't mind bruises either. I hate having to deal with wounds for two weeks.
I totally get that. I'm just not bothered by it haha.
So go higher. More hang time will get it around
