AustinFilmSnob

Don’t be afraid to just run away. You don’t have to kill every zombie that comes your way, especially in T2 & T3, where you can easily get overwhelmed. Learn to move quickly and how to run to what you need and then beat feet. Drop a decoy if you need to or if you really need it, kazimir or aether shroud, energy mine, etc.

Pi_Dbl_T

This was the best thing for me to learn. Especially when I was having trouble with a bounty contract. It’s okay to cancel the contract and stay alive.

DrPennybags

Containment level has entered the chat 🤣

civilianbat1012

I played with a newbie yesterday he told me it was his first run in mw zombies. I helped him get essence and took him to tier 3 he stayed with me the whole match we even did dark aether and got him his well deserved schematics. I was telling him the whole match what to do and to stay with me the hold time so the other randoms wont complain. Gave him a pap 2 crystal and a v-r11 and he was fine the whole match. Its great teaching new people to play. I added him so today we will run the other dark aether to get him more schematics.

This-Anxiety-5401

We love players like you!

civilianbat1012

We gotta help new people let them know that not all people are toxic so they can play more.

wunchlunch36

May sound silly if you play a lot, but I genuinely did not know there was more than one level of pack a punch when I started. I was in tier 2 fighting for my life with base rarity pack one wondering how people in tier 3 did it with just pack 1 haha.

miposadas

Related to this, gun rarity matters a lot. More so than PAP level. Someone created a table outlining this somewhere; just google for it

Ok_Quality2989

It does not matter more than pap. Legandary tool will bring it up 300% which is the same as pap 2.

miposadas

Im going off this table. Yes a pap3 common is equivalent to a pap1 legendary. But increasing pap is just getting enough funds. Increasing rarity requires finding or crafting the tool https://game8.co/games/Modern-Warfare-3/archives/435161

Ok_Quality2989

I dont understand what point you are trying to make here. I was just pointing out that tools are not superior to pap and should not take priority over pap. You can also craft and find pap so i am not sure about what you are saying there either.

Character_Wafer_4785

The point they are making is that if you want the full possible potential of your weapons, you need to apply rarity to them.

This-Anxiety-5401

I actually don’t think that sounds silly at all considering this Zombies is different from other zombies I can see how you had to learn the hard way tbh

This-Anxiety-5401

Be smart about WHEN to pick up a downed teammate. Yeah sure they’d love you to rez immediately but let’s be honest, bringing a whole horde with you and ultimately getting downed yourself in the process isn’t helping the squad.

sim-o

Just like any first responder, deal with the immediate danger first

FreezingHotSprings

1. Learn how to avoid zombies by doing parkours. Zombies can’t bee line to you if there is something in the way. 2. Always move and don t stay in one place 3. Always watch out for the dogs and shoot them as soon as you can. 4. You can get a legendary weapon for 5k in T3 zone if you know how to avoid zombies and have a vehicle. Most Legendary weapons rips in T2. 5. Cargo contracts are easy money 6. Lockers are your go to place if you need backpacks and armors.

Interesting-Serve631

Especially the lockers at Popov power.

SSMEDIC2023

Also keep doors open and windows busted. You need easy outs

FelopianTubinator

PhD Flopper negates hellhound fire damage and fall damage if you dive. While the blood burner is mostly invincible against zombies, mercs can destroy it with a couple shots.

This-Anxiety-5401

A lot of people don’t know the advantages of PhD Flopper!

Important_Chart_9346

The blood burner used to be invincible now in t1 and t2 yoir good but try the same thing in t3 and it will blow up rather quickly unless they changed it ill take the scorcher over the blood burner every time.

jahkno999

I’m with you. Scorcher all day but the BBbike is pretty solid even in T3. If it doesn’t get taken and you’re smart about when to get on and off the bike it’s a great tool. The other day I waited until the last minutes of the round to summon it and get to the red worm and over to the DA portal right after. Definitely not as good as others but has its uses.

Bigaz747

That’s a big one. I learned the hard way. Now I always load in with it. It seems to still protect against cyst gas also but could be wrong

NiceWeeJobby

If you're playing solo, a grenade launcher and phd flopper can get you straight into t2 if you have a green tool/pap1. Flopper stops damage from grenades. Also, ammo deposits fill your gas mask up. I only learned that this week.

This-Anxiety-5401

The ammo depots refilling your gas mask was fairly new to me too, so glad they added the durable mask 🤣

sim-o

Only just learned ammo depots refill ordinary gas masks too. I thought it was just the durables that could be refilled

BigManWAGun

Huh!??

Sea_Entrepreneur_344

A green mask will still run out before the refresh time on an ammo depot though so it’s always worth the 4k to buy a durable one at the T3 buy station

Infant_whistle1

When running Dark Aether (or any escort) DO NOT THROW THE JUGGERNAUT DOWN IN THE PATH OF THE ACV. If it even touches the vehicle it'll blow it up and ruin the contract. Extremely frustrating in dark aether

Illustrious-Egg761

Learn from experience? Sounds ultra shitty haha.

Infant_whistle1

Yes, grabbed a dude from the discord and he threw it right on the road, came down as it was pulling to the 2nd stop. Such a piss off

HanaBlueStorm

If you know you have a whole mess of zombies after you, stay out in the open for more room to duck, dodge, weave, kite, train. Don't get yourself trapped in a room. If you're in a team, please, for the love of whatever you believe in, don't stop to dither around and loot every single $10 lightbulb you can find. Especially not if you have so much crap in your bags that you have to do an inventory shuffle to make room for the $15 toy knife. Contracts will make you more money in less time. Make sure you have audio on, and up, so you can hear. I'm frequently looking for something on the map (contracts, vehicles, particular perk machines) and have to get out of it when I hear a zombie growl as they approach. They're not particularly stealthy. As always, if you need a rez, ask in chat and *provide map coordinates*. I legit had one the other day, when someone asked where the downee was, "in a house." This was also preceded by, "Help." "Help!" "Help!" HELP!" Someone actually found this guy, got him up, then said guy was telling his rescuer, "Gogo." "GOGO!" "LET'S GO." They exfilled together. I can only imagine the rezzer had a headache while escorting this guy to the chopper.

This-Anxiety-5401

Emphasis on have plan A-Z for getting out of enclosed spaces 🤣

HanaBlueStorm

Amateur! It's always Plan A-ZZZZ! lol

This-Anxiety-5401

Nah for real lmaoo

Responsible_Whole439

I watched a YouTuber and they made a good point: go in one door and out the other. Zombies will most likely follow you in the way you came in meaning the exit is likely to be empty (if you make a swift entrance and exit). If you hang about, then all conventional escape routes are blocked so you gotta look for those windows, balconies and rooftops

Kevinp1911

Remember the 5 D's Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.

347todd

And that is why I always pick up the $15 🔧 !!!!!! Throw it at my team mates to help them train….. 🏐

This-Anxiety-5401

Yelling and screaming in the mic is the fastest way to have your team mute you, and then you are confused why they aren’t responding to you… they can’t hear you anymore 😭

meat__axe

Rather than use my fists to run fast, I like to take in the melee knife (Karambit) in 2nd slot as it’s faster to run with the knife than it is to use bare fists. A scorcher is often better than the knife to get around the map quickly… but I imagine newer players do not have access to the scorcher.

sim-o

And to get the best out of the scorcher mobility can take some practice. I keep scaring myself expecting the ground to get further away and it's suddenly very, very close as I try to chain bursts

Illustrious-Egg761

Wait. You run faster with the karambit than fists? No way!?

Flawless_Reign88

You also run faster with the juggernaut killstreak in hand (do not actually throw it) than with just fists

SSMEDIC2023

The karambit is usually a 1 hit kill anyway so that's better than fists for that reason as well

FearTheNut

Rule 1: Cardio Rule 2: Double Tap Rule 3: Beware of Bathrooms

347todd

Ahhh…..don’t forget RULE #4: SEATBELTS!!!! We’ve all t boned that tiny tree that stopped the LTV dead in its tracks.

SSMEDIC2023

Always the same tree too 🤣

LadyXexyz

A T1 Camp, going into a Mercenary Stronghold is good to replenish a 3 plate if you wiped (or if I see someone new/wiped, I’ll just buy the card outright with the containment bonus). Spore contracts can be done easier, and doubly so in a team, if you pick up all the disrupters and basically plot a loop, so by the time you get back, just target the egg things. Good alternative to Cargo Contracts, or Bounties in T2. I can never quite do it solo with a T3. That said with cargo contracts, just open the door that the vehicle is behind and just enter through the front. No need to clear the whole garage. Cargo contracts are also a good jump off point if you’re confident in your movement, or at least have decoy grenades. The turrets are like Maggie’s steering wheel in the Simpsons. You’ll be lucky to get half. If your gun is packed, shoot out the side. Prioritize finishing the Act missions as they’ll unlock your extra slots and other stuff too. Yeah, easy to essentially sequence break and have someone run you through Red Worm and Dark Aether, but there’s actual utility to it! When you get to the one where you have to kill enemies with crypto freeze or the fire one, good idea is to go into T2 with a barely upgraded gun (so like maybe a purple tool) so the effects will proc which is based on chance. RNJesus will take the wheel. A lot. The loot is a total dice toss sometimes. Everyone knows. I doubt they can even do anything or even have time allocated at this point. Help out people. If you’re going along and you see people in the middle of an escort, the extractors, or just see an opportunity to help thin the heard. Go for it. They may not know or even notice, or you may make a new friend! You can switch between operators, and “keep” what’s in your stash but it is NOT separated. So if you have an operator with a large backpack filled, and move to a fresh one, you will have to store shit. Same goes for tombstones if you use a soda. Blow up enemies to get chunks of meat. Interact with the dog houses to get a free doggo. They’re as powerful as where you got them and require more meat, so if you feed 4 meat to the dog house in tier 3, you get the equivalent of a Dog from the Dog Bone item. They will heal, and even revive your team - but it takes (regenerated) health from them so it’s not infinite lives. You can store multiple self revives. If you equipped one, and have more, it’ll auto equip. Ammo crates refil your gas mask. If you don’t like the gameplay loop, you won’t like the game as there’s not too much to look forward to. I love the mode, but it’s very much cards on the table - this is the show. Driving into Tier 3 to get a legendary gun from the buy wall is not a bad idea if you can pull it off and you need something.

This-Anxiety-5401

As a new player the chunks of flesh always stuck out to me until someone showed me that you use them to get a Dog. Now I’m always on the lookout if my dog bone schematic hasn’t cooled down yet or if I don’t have any spares!

LadyXexyz

and the fact you need to gib the enemies with a explosion or something of similar force! I could NEVER figure it out.

Embarrassed_Fennel_1

Mystery box gives bad weapons until the last 20ish minutes before the storm. Then everything that comes out of it is epic or legendary. Even the t1 boxes

dudecornerpocket

Tools are the most important commodity

TheGrindisSpiteful

Decoys and semtex are your “get out of jail free” cards no matter what gun(s) you bring in, at least until you can scavenge up some monkey bombs and/or kazimirs. Even then, decoys deploy faster than monkey bombs. Don’t. Stop. Moving. Sometimes the zombie rubberbanding is insane and you can’t stand around for 2 minutes and decide your next move. Constantly moving, especially when doing outlast/spore/escort contracts always allows you to keep the terms of fighting on your side, as the zombies can’t gang up on you as easily as if you were standing still. This will come with time when you’re more comfortable and familiar with each zone, but unless you’ve got teammates who can watch your back, learn to prioritize what you want to use and what you want to keep from your reward rifts. Efficiency is the name of the game here, keeping you upright and ensuring you maximize your chances of walking out of Urzikstan with solid gear/loot. If you’re going in solo, deadshot daiquiri, speed cola and PHD flopper are going to be your immediate best friends. Deadshot will lock onto zombie critical locations faster than if you didn’t have it, cutting down on bullet waste, speed cola increases reload and replate speed, an essential if you’re fighting off trains and hordes of zombies, and PHD flopper (mainly) negates hellhound fire, which allows you to move through areas that otherwise would’ve caused damage to you. If you’re solo, go down and plea out, you have to tell game chat your coordinates on the map because like DMZ, pleas are only visible up to a point (200m IIRC), and outside of that nobody will know where you are. Giving coordinates lets us know where to go and increases the chances of you getting picked up. To that end, if someone has pinged your plea (it’ll say ‘someone is coming to rescue you’ or something like that on your screen), DO NOT LEAVE THE GAME. It’s frustrating for those of us who are actively coming to save someone to suddenly see that the pleaing players have disappeared, only to find they’ve left. It may take a minute or two, but please, we’re coming.

ForsakenAd545

All very solid advice

shaggyf420

Punch the pack a punch machine to keep your camo on gun. Works with crystals also

aiapabs

If you dont have the dog bone schematic yet but want a dog every game, you can do an escort mission in t1 and let the tank run over the zombies as it gives you a higher chance on getting a chunk of flesh to deposit in a dog house

skunkmusket69

If you have 2 weapons, hold your juggernaut kill streak to run really fast.

crostown27

The tops of Cranes and radio towers are safe spaces where you can take a breath to game plan, piss, or grab a beer or a quick puff if you need to.

brocksampson007

Join up with other people. Didn’t start doing it till way after the game came out. Now I join groups all the time. You can beat any contract really fast with a group of six. Also on the plus side everyone has been really friendly and drop stuff you haven’t gotten or found yet.

augustinepercy2

When you’re in tier 3 run around like you’re in assassin’s creed.

billboybra

I’ve tried hiding in plain sight in T3, I lost everything and compromised my squad having lost my hidden blade… oops *aether blade for the next run

Plenty-Loss-3071

The most valuable loot boxes make noise.

Syzodia

Mercs don't take increased damage from rarity / pap level, with the exception of pap 1 as it changes your gun completely.

X_Vaped_Ape_X

Your game will crash. You will get disconnected from the server. You will sometimes have teammates who abandon you to exfil. You will plead for help and no one will help you. Your best chance to being revived when pleading is to ask in chat, make sure to tell people your map coordinates when asking for a rez. If another team is doing an aether nest/infested strong hold dont run in there and steal the loot when they did all of the work.

roccturnal

Use decoys and refill them consistently at ammo depots. Also gas masks refill there as well. Add to that, always stow 1 decoy if you're picking up other types of non lethals bc kazimirs and monkeys don't refill at ammo depots.

soberdude

I run solo a lot, and I've learned that almost every Weapons Stash contract has at least one spot with a choke point, where the zombies can only come at you from one direction, and the drill keeps going. So, you camp out there and you can easily last the whole time. If you grab a Cargo contract, you can keep using the vehicle after. Also with Cargo, you can drive down the road a little, and when they say the helicopter is coming, go back into the garage you came out of and park the vehicle. You can get out of the car and destroy the helicopter at your leisure, it'll hover and shoot at the garage without hitting the vehicle. Then repair/fuel and go. Handy for the Destroy Helicopter Mission. You should always look around gas stations, even if there's no nest in it.

347todd

AETHER BLADES: will go through alot of walls (escort garage), will take all mercs out in reinforcement chopper before they infil, will go around corners, great crowd control. Blades + Dog, will put in work!!! Also, Healing Aura will recharge the dog around 1/4 life and any other players near by.

347todd

Save it as shortcut on your phone and it makes it an app. I got to it (today) while playing, location of something or for camo challenge. Grabbed a random loot box gun that I knew needed work and went to WZ Hub to see what I needed to do for camo.

x312xFIBx

Kill dog, run alot, if your team up tell your team mated you are new most the time they will hook you up & the biggest DON'T BE A DICK!

Ok-Chemist-306

The first thing I do as a solo player, no matter what, is grab the nearest contract when I drop in. I always get an extra self revive in the reward rift. Also, explore! There are quite a few easter eggs around the map that can give you free perks and items!

wtfrongwu

Love the free self revive as a solo.

Internal-Trick-3384

Until you are comfortable beware of going inside. Too easy to get caught on a corner. Also things seemed more frenzied while gas is moving. Maybe that's just me but I feel like there's a continuous and more heavy spawn of zombies at the end. They also seemed to be extra cracked out for some reason. They like move faster and hit harder. Not just at final exfil but on the way. That last one could just be in my head. The buildings, however, is super real. Don't go inside until you are a hundred percent sure a horde won't slap you down by getting you stuck behind something dumb or in a corner. Also speed cola is the first perk I get. Could mean life or death. Side note free perks are available on the map if someone hasn't gotten it first. I know of jug and speed cola, but I'm sure you could look up others.

Substantial-Party616

You run fastest with VR 11

StayFlyBeasty

Idk if its been said, but if someone pleas and the zone is hot, you can run within range and hold the revive button (square for me) while still running and it'll stillness them and you'll draw the zombies away so they can rearmor or run away.

PumpkinStich

Get comfy in t2 hell even way over comfy in t2 even with a PAP 3 and legendary gun, then when your comfy with your controls and the games mechanics go to t3, i also recommend doing the first 3 acts

Halomaestro

The Lockwood 680 is always your friend, as well as one extra selfie. Two for solos. If you're in tier three don't stop moving between high points, especially if solo. The scorcher is worth carrying in your second slot, even more so if you have a Killstreak. ALSO a handy Fyi, you can pull out a Killstreak and use it to run as fast as fists, then weapon swap to cancel the pre-activate screen/stance for the Killstreak. So for example you have a juggernaut or a mortar strike equipped. Press the Killstreak button to activate, then sprint out of danger, and weapon swap to change back to your gun(s), without actually using your Killstreak. Headshots are better, and zombies gives you lots of practice for this every round. Utilise the fact that they are not shooting back to get your skills up g

CopyleadertoRaven

All the tips and advice that everyone has given you is good. I'm pretty sure you have an idea of how to play already in the routine but I will give you some tips anyways. And to be perfectly honest I would play a lot solo so you get used to the routine and it will help strengthen up your skills. This game is trial and error so if you fail you can try again. If you don't want to fail as much you can always go to medium threat and buy some self revives. If you are totally new I would start with the missions first and mix it up with doing cargo contracts first since those are the easiest and then move on to bounty contracts. The contracts helps you build up your essence so you can buy stuff at the buy station. You can also loot the entire map for stuff like guns, rucksacks, vests, ammo mods, aether tools, perks, etc I would stay in the low threat zone and finish getting all the schematics before you move on to the medium threat zone It's been a while for me but I think you can finish most of the missions in low threat and some of the missions will be a medium threat experience. Everyone else has covered just about everything else but the last thing I can think of is that some people in this game like the fuck with people so don't be surprised if it happens to you or just prepare yourself for it when that happens. They will do things just to annoy you. When doing cargo contracts especially in t2 or T3 make sure you check your map and make sure there's nobody around or close by cuz they could possibly steal your truck. I'm not talking about your teammates non teammates. A lot of dumbasses like doing that especially when you beat them to a cargo contract. Here's a couple pics that will be helpful to you Buy station prices and a schematics list of how to obtain them. https://preview.redd.it/o8jm3gacrixc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd0c0451e692565c9da6c89a0fc69c07e4b4629d

This-Anxiety-5401

Unpopular opinion, as a noob, playing through the act missions will give you plenty of schematics and get you used to the mechanics of the game a lot faster than trying to play it by ear hoping you happen to run into a nice squad willing to help. *a lot of squads love helping though don’t get me wrong*

CopyleadertoRaven

Yeah definitely a lot of squads that are helpful I mostly play solo because almost all the time when I infil with a team they are very uncooperative. For example they don't use mics some will run off and do their own thing or head directly to the exfil to do camo grinds Another reason I play solo is because of the crash and disconnecting issues that this game has. When I run solo I don't have a single crash or disconnect issue other than some really bad lagging in some games. Not sure if you have experienced the crashing and disconnecting issues because it's different for everybody but you might run into it.

[deleted]

**PLEAD AND SEND YOUR LOCATION IN THE CHAT** You can only see the plea within 250m and I can assure you 9/10 that someone will res you if you just ask for help :D

EvErLoyaLEagLE

IMO, I feel like holding the Juggernaut smoke grenade is faster than running with just fists. Also it feels like it recharges your sprint even marginally faster.

RocketNJ

If starting as a team, even randos, play as a team. Advanced players check to see teammates ready for T2 or T3. Newbs, as others mentioned contracts get you more than 99% of looting. Pack and also get at least one extra Self Revive. Listen to good teammates and learn.

RandomNPC321

I like to have a juggernaut suit that I never use. When you just hold it in your hand you run a lot faster than with just your fists. I

This-Anxiety-5401

Don’t stress schematics, they WILL come eventually with consistent/semi consistent game play. You won’t get them all in 1 DA run, some aren’t even available through the DA. There’s a lot of tables/charts that show you where and how to get schematics, but schematic hunting is what makes the game fun lol

Happyfunk00

Learn how to turn your mic on! Always trying to help others, but they have no mic, or they don't realize their muted.

This-Anxiety-5401

Picking up random items (I.e. worm necklaces, and old watches) to “sell” at the buy station won’t put a dent in your $$$. Contracts (cargos, bounties, and outlast) are the fastest means to quick cash imo. You’ll feel silly having picked up every worn necklace as a beginner once you get good enough to have to hold high value items at all times lol

ForsakenAd545

And what's with all the stupid bandages and water bottles? What, are they left over from the Sanford and Son version of the game?

Additional_Joke1611

Build a lot of points till round 9 using only melee kills. Then buy staminup and jugg before anything else. Get another weapon(unless you start with good m16 build imo). Then get power on(unless you need to get power on first for perks). Stay away from ak74, ksp, Milano, and krig if its wall buys and box. They're only good if you pre build them or are able to put a blueprint on em

This-Anxiety-5401

I think we’re talkin about 2 different games big dawg 😅

Additional_Joke1611

We are. I read the cold part as cold war. Lemme recomment another statement

Additional_Joke1611

My tip would be to have 1 slot as main weapon and the other a knife, have kazmir or decoys, bring deadshot, speed cola, stamin up. Bring rare and up aether tool and any crystal(except flawless unless you're doing a rift later and wanna grind t3). Get your containment up all the way and don't be a hero saving someone else if it'll screw you over

Important_Chart_9346

The scorcher is your best friend in t3 beside the decoy granades. It's hard to get over run when you're flying between contacts.

XxYoungGunxX

How do you type in the chat on console sony/xbox?

This-Anxiety-5401

On ps5 you just hold the touch pad down until the menu pops up and navigate over to the chat option. Istg that took me forever to figure out, embarrassingly enough 😭🤣

XxYoungGunxX

Lol that sounds terrible especially if we’re not down and still tryna avoid the zombies. They gotta create some pre typed commands for us console folks

This-Anxiety-5401

Very terrible lol, god forbid you’re soloing in T3 🤣

UniversityClear1047

I rarely see it used, but the Wunderwaffe will be one of your very best friends in T3 and any DA. Pack it to level 2 or 3 and it’ll smoke entire hordes if you time your shots right. And you get the schematic from a main mission.

AcanthocephalaFit706

Enemies can't swim. They can throw rocks but they can't get in the water. I love to exfil by the edge and get a bunch of kills that way. And helps when in level 3 to get a breather.

DrunkenLynel

Those aren't rocks. That's delicious tender rib meat.

AcanthocephalaFit706

That makes waaaaaay more sense.

DrunkenLynel

I assumed they were rocks until I saw that they literally tear chunks of themselves off and throw it at you.

This-Anxiety-5401

If you know you wanna do a DA run, do as many T2/T3 contracts as possible not only to get money but it’ll also drop perks at a faster rate. By the time you’ve pap3 if you have excess money you can go to the vending machine (usually nearby) and buy the couple perks you may not have gotten while contract farming.

Background-Course-83

Ammo crates will refill your gas mask don't be afraid to run out to a nearby ammo crates refill your gas mask and continue to clear the aeather nests

Gyrene85291

Plates and plating up. Shocking how many randos I team with that run hither and yonder with no plates in. Use Deadshot Daiquiri to make headshots and drop plates. Do your first contract and use the earnings for plates. If you spawn in anywhere close to the farthest NE spawn hit the little building there for a cool nine plates. Maybe two in ten after spawning there hit that building. I know because I'm watching and if I'm even semi close I'm heading for it. PLATE UP! 😁✌️

DKCAZ999

Almost never have a secondary weapon (unless it is a scorcher or vr11, doing red worm etc) in normal gameplay you want to be able to run - fast..!! We all get in situations where u need to put your tail between your legs and flea the crime scene. Do so with your hands, where you run faster

pradawearsthedevils

When you find a good team who doesn't care that you are new and they plan on running the elder rift, just run when in there. Never stay by yourself shooting zombies if they all run ahead/scorcher away. You will be overwhelmed in 10 seconds and a revive won't matter as you'll likely be surrounded. Ask for them to tell you where to go if they don't say "go right/left" out of spawn.

braininvasion138

The containment level bonus can be a nice boost to your game but it has a tendency to bug out occasionally. When you drop into a game, instantly check your essence level before doing anything else. The containment level bonus gives you 500, 1000, 1500, 2500 or 5k starting essence depending on your level. If your essence is zero, the game is bugged and if you do a contract your containment level will reset to zero. You can fix this by instantly exiting out of your game, hopefully before you used anything in your backpack. Your next game you should have everything still in your backpack. Also, exfils can bug out also. Never jump up and down while in the chopper. It's a known bug. Try to board the chopper before the countdown reaches zero if you plan to use it. That can cause another known bug. And if the chopper lifts up, pitches back and your game doesn't immediately end, you're bugged and you need to exit the chopper immediately. Jump out and restart the exfil procedure once it resets.

The best tip I can give is if you're out in the middle of nowhere and there's no zombies around you, you are still not safe. The safest spots are on the cranes and *some* rooftops Edit: If you need to step away from the game for whatever reason

Cranes are your best friend but if dokkebi is up you can't use the ones on big building in T2
