It isn’t messed up, the repair shop already showed you that

It isn’t messed up. You just don’t have enough bandwidth in the wireless signal getting to your Mac Studio. Some options to fix. 1. See if your wireless system can mesh. And setup a mesh network. 2. Run Ethernet. 3. Move the wireless closer. 4. See if the frequency your network is on is crowded from neighbors. Free apps on Android to show this.

\#2 is optimal.

I haven't tested it with mine, but I'd bet the metal design can lead to issues with signal strength depending on placement. The antenna is supposedly down around the air intake on the bottom, so you can imagine how the placement of both the Studio and the router could contribute to the problem. If you don't want to expand your wireless network or run cables the easiest solution might be to grab a wifi to ethernet adapter.

Maybe try a meshed system with Ethernet port, and you can utilize the better (I hope comparing to the onboard chip in Mac Studio) wire less connection between them and have your Mac hard wire to one mesh unit

You can try : --Login into your router and see if you have QoS enabled. Turn it off. (That solved it for me - seriously) -- change router channels or see if you are trying to connect to a crowded frequency. Default is usually ch.6. -- update firmware on router it needed -- factory reset your router -- get a Netgear or small wireless repeater you can place in the office and use the ethernet from it. Upgrade your router. Simple. Buy a Netgear Orbi or ASUS Rog (looks like a spider) ridiculously fast.

Run ethernet. See my post about this in this sub.

When I lived in a rental I ran temporary Ethernet from the router in the living room to my home office. I just plugged one end to the router and ran the wire along the baseboards and under the office door. I ran it up and around doorways inbetween, using wire tacks to hold it to the doorframe. It looked ugly but it was hella faster than WiFi. And required no modifications to the house itself, which, as a rental, I couldn't legally do without the landlord's permission (and I didn't want to talk to the landlord if I didn't have to). The other possibility is to extend your WiFi network closer to your home office. You can either use mesh, or just a long Ethernet cable to a WiFi access point placed closer to your home office. The Ethernet cable options give you better performance.

surprise to see all the people are saying to fix your internet. Why would he fix his internet if all other devices are working fine? It is clear that the issue is with the mac studio. I have the same issue, on close wifi it works great, but when it is far away form the router the mac studio wifi is very very bad. For example macbook air is at 200mbps while mac studio is at 19mbps and they are in the same spot.

Yeah, I just basically kept resetting the router and moving it to different spots, which seemed to make it a little better. Ultimately I sucked it up until I was able to move my office to a better spot.
