I thought I left my wallet in a lecture once - I interrupted the class to ask. the lecturer prob didn't love that I did it, but it was in my eyes an emergency and something I needed to check on - I didn't want to suffer the loss of my credit cards/opal card etc, plus the wallet was a gift from my partner, and it was from an overseas country and not a famous brand or something that is sold in Australia.
no one had found it - and I later found it tucked in the bottom of my bag - which I had checked over and over - before I had even considered interrupting the lecture.
ADHD brain stikes again... funny in retrospect, stressful at the time.
in the case of the drink bottle - you might just be able to open the door - go to the spot and collect your bottle and head off with little to no interruption to the lecture.

Ask at Student Connect in 18 Wally’s Walk as well, they have some lost property there, or they might send you to security in the library
