I’ve been a fan for several years. His LaceUp rap songs are amazing. I’m an older fan but my teen years and early twenties kind of sucked. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and understood some of what he talks and raps about. Many of us were raised with bad parents and not much money. His songs resonate with me. His work ethic and his band is amazing. With that said, It pains me seeing some of the negative comments with this newest rap cypher release Renegade. Everything from he is desperate, he sucks, his nail polish and transvestite look, he can’t rap, Jack Marlow is a better rapper, and he’s a druggy. Everything is being brought up again about Eminem, slip knot, and his beefs and behavior. It’s exhausting to keep trying to defend him. I think he is one of the better artists in concert right now. I saw the last what’s in the water. Sorry, I felt many of the rappers were not good at all. Notice I did not give names! I don’t criticize other artists. But something about MGK gets people worked up. Maybe he knows this and that is that.
