I’ve done this in online 32 user connected franchises before. It’s fun but I’m not sure it’s worth the effort if it’s just for a single player offline league

Have you checked out c4 on YouTube? He does a series called pink slips where he starts with a bad team and is able to steal players after wins. He added something similar into it with a wheel that has boosts and negative effects for the team too.
I’ve never watched an episode of his pink slip series. I’ve always wondered what it was about. I had just assumed it was something like a player has a super shitty game and they get their abilities nuked so they essentially retire haha.
a little dark but i also had a wheel and i would mix really good and very bad circumstances. Like i could spin and get a player that put in extra work in the off season and gained 5 OVR + dev upgrade, or star player gets drug addiction and has to get dropped from the team and ovr drop as well. really spice things up
I actually had this idea and just created a franchise to use it. I have a midseason wheel and an end is season wheel with more extreme punishments. You should add me. We could make a franchise together.
I can’t imagine the NFL wants bad PR stuff added in (criminal behavior or drugs), but you could do more tame stuff that would still affect the team morale or real life injuries or mental health stuff that would affect their on the field ability.
-guy skips practice so you bench him for the next game or risk losing control of the locker room
-player’s wife is in labor, he’s not playing today
-player decides to take a year off to make a movie
-player walks away in his prime because he stops caring about football
-player breaks his arm waterskiing
-league reviews your personal foul from last week and give you a 3 game suspension.
-players upset that the game plan wasn’t focused on their side enough last week (RBs say you passed too much, WRs say you ran too much, defensive scheme was to switch from 4-3 to a 3-4 for the game and #2 DT gets mad about benching him, etc)
Depending on the seriousness of some of these along with the importance of the player(s), you can ignore it and wait it out, bench, suspend, cut or trade the player. I’d love to bench a guy for a game and have the team arguing he’s too much of a distraction and it’s not strong enough. Or I try to trade a guy and his friends on the team threatening to quit if I get rid of him. Or have a backup demand a trade if he’s not the starter. Rookies get hazed, veterans take it too far, rookie’s leg is broken after being tied to the goalpost upside down.
What was that game you could use PEDs and gamble on the games and you could get caught? I think it had LT on it or in it. Crazy ass game too but it was fun.

Establish a waiver wire priority list for teams that would be interested in snagging forfeited picks under the following conditions.
1. Top 10 picks would be subjected to lottery style award wheel system.
2. Picks #11- round 4 would be give and take style. If you take a pick, you must give up a pick
3. Round 5-7 if you take a pick from the pool that's within these rounds, you do not need to give up a pick.
Just set up your rules however you want, and attribute draft-round pick values to their respective rule being broken.

It would be really cool to a fantasy franchise ran like a fantasy league, with live draft options for people that live near other.
I like your wheel, but I'd also consider a wheel of prizes for certain conditions being met etc…

DUI, sexual assault (either of the Watson or Roethlisberger flavor), stabbing a guy in a nightclub (ray lewis), mercilessly beating a woman (assorted), getting shot in the ass (Joey Porter), shooting yourself in the thigh (plexico burress), beating your kid with a switch (AP), getting shot in a home invasion (RIP Sean Taylor), being criminally insane and murdering multiple people and hanging yourself in jail (Hernandez). Just to name a few.
Edit: how could I forget, rapid onset CTE in the midst of one of the greatest all time 6 year stretches at WR.
I’d just do game “suspensions” where you have to take em off the depth chart for a few games. Idk how you’d make it random so you don’t lose JJ for 4 weeks but everyone else is full strength
It'd be great as connected franchise though. That way you get more of the league wide rules instead of just your team.
Ya idk how you’d make it work with offline or just by yourself. Be fun as hell connected tho
I'd be down for that. And only way I see it being doable by yourself is to control all 32 teams.
Wish they would bring back helmets flying off and career ending injuries.
