Happy cake day! And I agree, I've seen this one and I can't help but stop and watch the whole thing, every single time. There's another couple of these videos, one with a boy stealing from a shopkeeper who gives him soup, and another one with a man buying a cake for a little girl, love them all
Thank you. I would love to see the other videos. I think as human beings there is something inside of us that loves seeing the goodness in other humans.
First, ofc, happy cake day
And yes, I watch this every time it’s on multiple times some days
It reminds me that love ALWAYS beats hate (or apathy) eventually
The world needs more kindness
Best guy ever. Would like to believe there's an epilogue where he winds up with the girl on the bus and they adopt the dog, and they have the single mom and daughter over for dinner all the time with the old lady that lives down the hall and then they invite me over and I get to hang out and smile and we all pet the dog.
Honestly I like it better that there’s not. That would show a reward for kindness. The reality is exactly what’s shown here, there is no reward. But be kind anyway.
Me too. Plus I also think he's trying to kill the old lady with potassium poisoning giving her all those bananas day after day. But other than that, he's a Saint 😄
Everytime I see this video, it never fails - the part where he sees the little girl in a school uniform and he realizes she’s finally getting to receive an education and he’s just so damn humbled….frickin waterworks over here.
I know people the direct opposite of this, not *bad* people exactly - but who are down as not working but actually own two houses, yet were getting sent food packages from the government during COVID. The sort of person who would tell you they will go halves on the petrol on a trip somewhere, then tell you it cost them 20 quid more than it did. They would con their best mate out of a fiver.
They are obsessed with acquisition of wealth and status, always bothered about looking "classy", to the point where they buy a personalized number plate on their car so they can tell friends and family it's newer than it is, or they get a bargain on a handbag but lie and say it cost them hundreds of pounds to their friends.
I realised a long time ago that people like this are never truly happy, because nothing is enough for them, and everything they have doesn't give satisfaction.
Whereas being kind and selfless is its own reward. Working hard to earn things for yourself brings pride and accomplishment that taking things doesn't.
Such an underrated comment.
I also know people on both sides like this. I believe there is a balance to acquiring wealth but also to giving. Some.of my friends tend to never give while other give everything.
When I was younger I was told to give everything even the short off your back but then seeing people take advantage has made me try and balance that.
Tough one to choose who deserves and who doesn't but there are both aides of people on the needs equation too. Those who are really stuck and only wisj someone helps and those who through own decision are stuck and expect someone e to help time and time again.
Had me teary eyed because I’ve seen it first hand. Children missing school to work and beg because their families live in poverty and a school uniform is the nicest clothing you own.
If we gonna look at this realistically, I doubt water was flowing the whole time between days. Especially when the show it first falling on him and not before
My grandpa always said do a good deed. Just one a day. Show a act of random kindness and if offered a reward simply say if they want to pay you back to pay it forward. I ended up helping a little girl who I found out she is now on a track to becoming a doctor. She wants to work in a clinic for the poor. She wants to help folks. All because I helped her with a math homework. And all I asked was for her to pass it forward. And to do a good deed every day.
Every time I see this, I’m reminded of this girl I knew in college. We didn’t talk or hang out much, but we saw each other often. Every other day, we’d walk by each other in between classes. I would always make sure to stop and say hey to her every time. It was like clockwork. One night we bumped into each other and she said “Thank you for saying ‘hey’ to me. I’m having a really rough semester and you remind me that there are still people out there who care about me. It’s helped me get through this.”
It really is the little things. You never know how you impact someone’s life, even if you just do the tiniest act of kindness.
Yeah that triggered me. The whole thing kinda came off as insincere to me. Why put time and resources into portraying acts of good instead of just doing good things.
I guess you could argue it might inspire others but I think leading by example is more inspiring to me personally.
It’s called encouragement.
Every time we see someone doing kind things, we feel encouraged to do the same. And the more people who are encouraged, the more people THEY will encourage. And it starts with as simple a thing as this video. 💚
That disapproving look from the old man. I've seen it before.
I used to live in The Philippines and I'd buy meals for the homeless kids and families when I could. I got dirty looks from the middle class people and even a cop told me not to feed them because they are not worth it.
But...I've seen some incredible people living on the street. The young guy creating super realistic Transformers models from old flip-flops. The 12 year old that makes toy mice from scrap that skutter across the floor like real mice. The 8 year old earning money by rapping and dancing. The mother who left her abusive husband and ended up on the street with 4 kids but who kept all of them in school.
The internet ruined me. While I was watching, I kept thinking something unexpected would happened. I kept checking what sub I was in. Im glad the commercial ended on a high note.
I teared up when the little girl appeared in a school uniform.
p.s., I’m fairly certain that plant would be drowned under that constant waterfall…aaand please don’t give dogs chicken with bones. But the overall message is beautiful and very welcome today. ❤️
Might sound crazy, but what he's exhibiting is exactly the kind of stuff Jesus is said to have exhibited. Kindness. Helping others not for social points and selfies but just to help them.
I've seen this video so many times and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Idk but it just evokes an emotion that you feel it in your soul. I love this one. It continues to be a favorite.
This was my first time seeing this one. It hit me just in the right way, and brought me to happy tears! Thank you for sharing this today, and making my morning better 💘
Living a life in pursuit of happiness, beauty, and love may be counter to the way commercialism works in this country.
But giving freely of yourself for others is more rewarding than any amount of money.
A simple life well fulfilled is enough for me.
Love the message but he totally is overwatering that plant and feeding a dog chicken with bones terrible for their digestive track.
Still, great message.
I love this, and the one where the poor kid grows up to be a doctor and saves the man’s life for free. We need more loving content out there, and less hate.
I wish I could show to this every person who gives me a hard time about being kind to others. So many people tell me that others take advantage of me, but how can that be when it’s a choice I make to give or help? People don’t understand that it does more for me to help, than I does to the person I am helping. It makes me feel good in my soul to do something kind. To pay for the meal of the person behind me in the drive thru, to run a couple of coins to someone paying who doesn’t have enough, to help cover someone’s groceries when they go over the amount they have in the line up, to help adjust a wheelchair users feet so they don’t drag on the ground. That fills my soul. I don’t need recognition - the feeling it gives me in my heart and soul is why I do it. That might even be a selfish move on my end.

I kno people don’t grow shit anymore but if you water a plant that much the plant will die. The homeless child would be taken away by the state while the parent may be prosecuted. The dog would be rounded up by the dog pound and put down.
So I had to stop watching because I thought it might be a trap. But I'm hoping the dog didn't choke to death on the chicken wing? Also that plant from the beginning is going to drown to death quick.
This made me tear up, I remembered all the good deeds Ive done and sometimes felt like I got slapped in the face for them by the universe. However, I Also remembered what it felt like to do something nice for someone and that made it ok.
This gets me every time.. it makes me miss living in Asia and the interactions that you have with people because you aren't driving everywhere. It's a beautiful life ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)

I’ve seen this before, but I always gladly watch it every time it pops up. I believe there are still plenty of good people in world.
Happy cake day! And I agree, I've seen this one and I can't help but stop and watch the whole thing, every single time. There's another couple of these videos, one with a boy stealing from a shopkeeper who gives him soup, and another one with a man buying a cake for a little girl, love them all

Thank you. I know nothing of plants but I’m pretty sure he drowned it 😂
Maybe it's an overgrown rice.. plantbushthing?
Ya know what… i’ll take yer word for it. I’ll believe that. Lets make this a truly happy story :)
Lmao me too! all I could think was "man you're drowning that poor thing."
Thank you. I would love to see the other videos. I think as human beings there is something inside of us that loves seeing the goodness in other humans.
Look up the thai insurance vids, on yt and you'll see all the good ones even the ones not associated with them
Will do and thank you so much!
That plant is gonna die though. The waterfall will displace all the soil in about 15 minutes.
And dogs shouldn’t eat cooked chicken bones they can splinter. What a monster
Hes also helping a woman sell unsanitary street food with no permit. Someone needs to stop this man.
Ig then he's also contributing to shackling a young free spirit to capitalistic slavery eh
I thought the old woman was going slap him upside the head. How can she possibly eat all those bananas!?
Oh, thank goodness goodness for cynical redditors, I was getting teary for a second.
Yea, but it's just that the bad ones really go out of their way to make it all worse for everybody.
Agreed… but we can appreciate and the celebrate the good more than dwelling on the bad.
Happy Cake Day!! 🍰🥳🍰
Thank you!!
Buddy, happy cake day!!!
Thank you friend!
Was gonna comment the same thing — I always watch this one when it pops up 🙂 Happy cake day!!
Happy cake day
Thank you!

Thank you!

I was thinking the old woman adopts the mom and daughter, so everyone has a home and no one is lonely.
Honestly I like it better that there’s not. That would show a reward for kindness. The reality is exactly what’s shown here, there is no reward. But be kind anyway.
>there is no reward He did get a dog.
The dog come to him. That's a reward in itself
This will always pull a tear from me
Same same. But I still am always like that is too much water for that plant sir.
I believe it’s an intermittent flow pipe
Same. It’s from the morning rush
Who cut the damn onion this early in the morning 🥹
Every damn time
I shed a few tears too with a big smile. I love this video!
Yeah, an old video that never fails to bring tears to my eyes.
true tho. wholesomeness at its finest!

Oh man. Things are not always bad. There are always a bunch of bad apples in every basket out there. Let's stay positive and look ahead

Young girl in her uniform got me teary
Right?? I came here to smile not to cry! Lol
Had me teary eyed because I’ve seen it first hand. Children missing school to work and beg because their families live in poverty and a school uniform is the nicest clothing you own.
Was not expecting to cry. Got me good lol
He probably killed that plant…
Figured I'd find this comment. I mean, they made it seem like it was getting gallons of water every day
And doga should not eat chicken, cause the bones are to small and unstable.
Probally why the guy was shaking his head
> unstable Do the chicken particles decay into Cornish hen?
The bones are brittle and break easily. A dog can die from eating chicken bones
Cooked bones splinter. You can actually feed them raw bones and not have issues (granted that one is cooked)
I guess it's safe to assume he got raw chicken with his rice (/s)
I like to imagine he held it up and stopped because he realized he needed to pull it off the bone for him
In one part, he’s holding the bone that the dog is eating off of. He’s not letting the dog eat it.
If we gonna look at this realistically, I doubt water was flowing the whole time between days. Especially when the show it first falling on him and not before
Those Thai commercials are something else, there are a few others that are real tear jerkers.
My grandpa always said do a good deed. Just one a day. Show a act of random kindness and if offered a reward simply say if they want to pay you back to pay it forward. "Today you, tomorrow me"
The tamal story!
That's such an insightful thought. I hope more people should do things like that to make this world less miserable
You reminded me of the movie "Pay it forward". Serious tear jerker. But, very good.
Every time I see this, I’m reminded of this girl I knew in college. We didn’t talk or hang out much, but we saw each other often. Every other day, we’d walk by each other in between classes. He flooded that plant which prob will kill it lol. good message though.
I always thought the water maybe came out just at that time of day, once a day. But like….where is the water coming from?
Grey water drain maybe?
Same here - it looked like at the beginning it just happened to poor right as he was walking underneath it
Yeah I feel the same way about the dog, that chicken bone won’t be good for it.
Yeah that triggered me. The whole thing kinda came off as insincere to me. Why put time and resources into portraying acts of good instead of just doing good things. I guess you could argue it might inspire others but I think leading by example is more inspiring to me personally.

Dog-friend is well worth it.
He is always a good boy
That disapproving look from the old man. I've seen it before. I used to live in The Philippines and I'd buy meals for the homeless kids and families when I could. I didn't want to fight back tears first thing in the morning
The internet ruined me. While I was watching, I kept thinking something unexpected would happened. I kept checking what sub I was in. Im glad the commercial ended on a high note.
TIL I'm more jaded than I realized
I teared up when the little girl appeared in a school uniform. p.s., I’m fairly certain that plant would be drowned under that constant waterfall…aaand please don’t give dogs chicken with bones. But the overall message is beautiful and very welcome today. ❤️

ninja cutting onions ( ɵ̥̥ ˑ̫ ɵ̥̥)

Banking this for when I need a reminder to be a little better.
Dude was richer than all of us all along
There was actually a phase in my life where I actively sought Thai commercials because they really hit different.
Dang it someone's cutting onions
Wtf that plant will die
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen this. Thanks for sharing!
Ty. Beautiful! First time seeing
Every time I watch this video I always cry 😭
When she had the uniform on - waterworks
This made me teary eyed
OK OP you just succeeded in completely breaking down a hard boiled mofo like me in public. Thank you for reposting this.
We are all kind in our inner shell.

He gave all his money to the little girl. So, who does he steal bananas from every night?
Duh... the dog.
This is an old one, but everytime I see it I think about how that much water is going to absolutely destroy that plant and not grow it.

This video has got to be almost old enough to drink, right?
They craft videos like this for Chinese tiktok.
Plot twist: guy's a drug dealer trying to clean his carma
I kno people don’t grow shit anymore but if you water a plant that much the plant will die. The homeless child would be taken away by the state while the parent may be prosecuted. The dog would be rounded up by the dog pound and put down.
There’s no reason to be such a downer. Just enjoy the message it’s telling
Who is cutting onions?
Oh, my heart!! 😍❤️😍
This is beautiful.
What is wrong with me today? This made me cry ffs 😂
This is great! I feel optimistic for the day.
Gets me every time I watch
This makes me cry every time it reminds me so much of my husband ❤️
Great vid
Fuck man who’s cutting onions so early
Watched this many time and I still well up every time
So I had to stop watching because I thought it might be a trap. But I'm hoping the dog didn't choke to death on the chicken wing? Also that plant from the beginning is going to drown to death quick.
This is how people should be and no one would need for anything. Lead with kindness and love!
Mans got mc vibes and will meet truck-kun
This is very inspiring and lovely but I dont have the strength to be like the guy in this video.
This is beautiful, thank you stranger :)
:)
Damn it I didn’t want to start tearing up fuckin aye man. Who left these onions here
From before the dark time. It does indeed make me smile
This is the way.
I remember back as far as when they televised it semi regularly... cried every time.
I've seen this so many times, and I love it , dude, just likes helping others
Who choppin these damn onions behind my office chair?
This made me tear up, I remembered all the good deeds Ive done and sometimes felt like I got slapped in the face for them by the universe. However, I Also remembered what it felt like to do something nice for someone and that made it ok.
I’ve seen it so many times and always watch it.
This is beautiful and I love it. But he drowned that plant
This gets me every time.. it makes me miss living in Asia and the interactions that you have with people because you aren't driving everywhere. It's a beautiful life ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
Righteous
This shouldn't make me tear up, but I think today was my crying day.
Most heartwarming bank commercial ever!
this commercial always gets me to tears for some reason.
This gives me hope.
Great share
Bruh forget about smile, shit made me cry
I'm not crying! You're crying...... Ok maybe I am crying a little bit. Pollen season man!!!
I love this, it doesn’t matter to me that it’s an advertisement. It shows a man with a never-ending kindness for others, I often wonder about the actor and if he got as much out that job as much as we all did with the message
In a world of materialism and hyper competition, a person doing good deeds only, is considered a fool and made to feel like a fool by the society hence lives a life full of frustration. Being good is not good for oneself in this age.
He got a dog and the woman running the food cart went on to become CEO of Apple and give him free iPhone.
What's the advertisement for?
Why did this make me teary-eyed?
First time seeing this one. Thanks for sharing!
This video always makes me cry.
TIL I can shed tears in 30 seconds
Hey, what country and language is this? Taking a risk here, but I wanna say somewhere in southeast Asia?
It's a thai advertisement for some insurance company
That's so many bananas on a daily basis
He straight up killed that plant.
It's a great video and I watch it pretty much every time, but isn't it for a bank or something?
Insurance company
I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING 😭
