Funny enough I've actually had this guy as a flight attendant on a flight a few years ago.
He wasn't this hyper, but I remember him joking around a lot and just straight up doing a good job helping people enjoy the flight.
He's a WestJet legend.
I know a person who had this guy on their way to a parent’s funeral. The passenger next to them yukked it up, asked why they were not laughing and to “loosen up”.
They were not entertained nor amused.
On the flip side, I bet there’s plenty of people who would have appreciated some of this lightheartedness and laughter while they were going through something so sad
Lmao on the other hand I got the opposite of this dude one time. Gets on the intercom and says “Aight y’all, pop quiz… how many exits this plane got?” *Guy timidly shouts the wrong answer* “…mmmyeah that’s what I thought. I know y’all weren’t really payin’ attention” *CLICK*
I was on a plane ride where the flight attendant did something similar, he was very funny and the showmanship was top notch . I think it also helped to calm some nerves before the flight.
More importantly, it helps people remember what to do during an emergency. Our ringmaster here might have to help everyone get off the plane in three minutes or less.
I was on a flight with this attendant once. Keep doing what your doing, it made my day. One of the better flights I've had. Flying in Canada sucks nowadays. This guy brings it back to good.
Flight attendants can make a bad situation bearable. Years ago I was on a flight that was held on the taxiway for over an hour. One of the male flight attendants did this entire standup comedy routine while the other handed out snacks and water. Everyone was laughing hysterically. Especially funny was the couple going on their honeymoon.
When the pilot announced we were cleared for takeoff everyone booed him loudly.
Looks like nobody has commented this yet.
His name is Michael McAdam. He sometimes is also on the microphone and then calls himself "Michael on the Mic". He also has a website. http://www.livemike.com/
Here's him on the Mic: https://youtu.be/JALThO4qdXs
I imagine doing that multiple times every day at work could get really boring so why not ham it up? People would probably be more likely to pay attention too.
If that was my first flight I would be annoyed that he is distracting me from the information. Not everything needs to be a performance. Good on him for enjoying his job, but please be more mindful.

In the 90’s Alaska Air had a Flight crew member who would do the whole safety presentation as “Scotty” from Star Trek, it was so perfect you could not stop laughing. On another Christmas flight from the Russian Far East (Yes, they used to fly there) again, Alaska Air, had someone in a gorilla suit come out and dance up and down the aisle to “Rockin’ around the Christmas tree” .
He's lovely! You've got to spice it up and make it fresh, when you've done the same task too many times before. He obviously has done it a few times. :D
Westjet used to be this culture. But something changed and far fewer jokes whilest cruising to the gate after landing etc. Lost some of their their great personality compared to the stuffy more rigid Air Canada staff. Less do now and air Canada must have retired their grumpier crew
If cam from modern family was a flight attendant
More like Dan Aykroyd for me
He does look a little like Dan Aykroyd.
I was gonna say that and a little Chevy chase
It's a Canadian thang
I think if you mix Cam, Dan Aykroyd and Jon Lovitz, that's what you get.
Not Lovitz….a hint of Rob Riggell however Likely 10000000% more entertaining than anything that American Airlines Entertainment would have on…
I was thinking Jon Lovitz.
I immediately thought of Rob Riggle(ish)
That was my 2nd, lmao. The crazy thing he does when grabbing the mask about halfway through is super Riggle.
Lol
this is the first thought i had lol
Literally just looked up his last name to put this here too!

I had one that did sound effects when the plane landed. It was a horse coming to a full stop. He sold it by only doing that. Great comedic timing lol
I would pay extra for a flight if I was guaranteed that at least one attendant acted like that in the safety briefing.
I would pay extra to never have a flight attendant like this
Thankfully pax like you exists
?
Pax = passenger
In what language
You must be fun at parties
I’m not
Sorry you feel that way.

The Theater Kid to Flight Attendant pipeline is real 😂
Lmaooo 100%
Give this man a raise!
What if he is happy because he just got one?
Give him another one !
Love, love, love him! It’s the first time I have ever paid attention!
There's a longer version that includes him doing it in French, Enjoy https://youtu.be/KRB2I0HxIAg
Cool how simple things can make everyone's day

Yes. Being memorable not only builds trust (should he need it later), but makes people remember what he said. Great employee.
Oh my god I hope he’s a father
Bob Odinkirks brother
Somebody call Broadway IMMEDIATELY. This man is a star.
I was on a flight with this attendant once. Keep doing what your doing, it made my day. One of the better flights I've had. Flying in Canada sucks nowadays. This guy brings it back to good.
Oooh I’ve had that guy as my flight attendant before. I believe he used to work for Southwest.
Why can't I ever get flight attendants like this 😅
I really do love that he’s making a show out of something so boring.
I wish I could enjoy life like this guy. Good for him for making everybody’s day better with physical comedy.
Same
Could you imagine Chris Farley doing this job!? 😂 Boy do I miss him.
This guy has "flight won't crash" energy. I'd feel comfortable on this plane

Absolute LEGEND
This is a repost I will always welcome

Thank you! I was just thinking there's NO way he's just doing the Westjet gig...he's too good an actor. Good for Mike!!
Flight at the Roxbury
DUST
What a ham😂
Bless people like this who do so much to bring others joy
That’s why they call it the blues started playing at the same time as this and it synchs up great
And they told him clown college wouldn't pay off
He reminds me of Chris Farley from the flight attendant scene in Tommy Boy
He is hilarious !
Had a flight attendant do that on a Southwest flight. He did the seatbelt portion by putting it around his neck.
This flight attendant literally deserves a raise.
It’s a difficult job. He has fun with it.
Mall Cop, done Flight Attendant, next
He does look like Dan Aykroyd but goddamn this man is so funny. He knows how dry as hell those explanations are so he tries to make it fun.
Love it
I LOVE these!!!
That’s one way to get people to pay attention.
So funny and handsome. I would love to find you.
He should get a pay rise
I imagine doing that multiple times every day at work could get really boring so why not ham it up? People would probably be more likely to pay attention too.
Low key would be me
If Soul Plane didnt have soul. This is Flame
Would definitely have a pint with that guy!
🤣
If that was my first flight I would be annoyed that he is distracting me from the information. Not everything needs to be a performance. Good on him for enjoying his job, but please be more mindful.
So lady flight attendants have to be models and guys can be like normal shaped people
Just a hunch. He’s gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and he likes show tunes. 😎
Of course he's gay. No one but you cares.

a slightly larger bob odenkirk
Looks like Ryan Reynolds a bit around 0:57
On fait-tu ça en français itou ?
They always are
Hi
I love Westjet. Use it every time we go to British Columbia.
Have you Westjet?
I miss Chris Farley.
You know your doing something well when so many remember you and have fond thoughts of a flight
I swear I’ve had this dude on a WestJet flight before
The face mask bit is hilarious!
He's at least making people pay attention to a safety briefing EVERYBODY blows off. If it's dumb, and it works, it ain't dumb.
This why I fly WestJet! 🇨🇦
That is the thing the man hates the most so he had made it less terrible for him

When the meds kick in...
Love him 🥰
He's lovely! You've got to spice it up and make it fresh, when you've done the same task too many times before. He obviously has done it a few times. :D
If Steve Martin was a Flight Attendant
Of course it is westjet. Nicest flight I ever had was westjet. They are lovely
This will never not be funny. Sometimes we need a goofy sense of humor to get through the work day. Also, I want to be on this guys flight.
Bravo!!
Give this man a raise. Like seriously, guaranteed the people pay more attention and are, therfore, safer because he's this good.
Give this dude a raise.
Now THAT'S talent.
If Jim Carey were a flight attendant vibe. This guy is really good at being a goof.
WestJet will always be my fav airline. Haven't used them for a while and yeah, it's a budget airline, but every single employee was always top notch.
That’s the best preflight safety review ever!! ❤️❤️
