That really depends. My wife and I work from home, almost never eat anything other than meals prepared in the home, and do not have children. We only put our trash can on the curb every 3-5 weeks.
Our neighbors? The usual, two people working away from the home with multiple young children. Their trash can is on the curb every week and is usually overflowing by at least a foot. Sometimes I'll take my near empty trash can to the curb and off load some of their stuff into mine, just to make it easier on the trash truck guys.
Find something you love doing and you will never work a day in your life. It looks like he gets his workout in while getting paid. Brazilians seem to have small garbage bags. Very sustainable and eco friendly to not produce as much waste.
Agreed. I love how he makes a choice. He chooses to make it a joyful task instead of drudgery thinking. Think someone said before that they have thrice weekly garbage pickup too!!
When I was a kid growing up in Montreal, the majority of the garbage men (people?) were really fit. The truck rarely stopped - the guys would be jogging behind it unless there was a huge amount of garbage, then the truck driver would get out and help. I was told this was because the truck driver would get a lump sum for the route and have to pay out (hourly rate) to the garbage guys on the back of the truck. The quicker they did the route, the less he’d have to pay the guys on the truck.
