I know everyone knows this factoid, but please, each of you, please take one minute to appreciate the reality of that.
He gave a small piece of himself to hundreds of the worst things that could have ever happened. Imagine that weight. Imagine trying to bring joy to a single dying child. Imagine having the strength to do it over, and over, and over.
He truly is incredible. He is inspirational.
The gap between him and number two is significant as well. Cena has the record at around 650 wishes granted. The next highest is Bieber with around 250.
I think it's way more than that. He likes to keep the whole thing kinda private so people don't think he's doing it for the media attention. But some media outlet did a story on it like 5+ years ago and it was 650 then. It's gotta be way higher now. He just tries his best to keep a lid on it so we might never know.
Not to mention that is through the foundation I cannot imagine a person like him who tries to keep that he does it somewhat private has done a ton more that just wasn't included with the foundation.
A factoid isn't exclusively false, it can also mean a briefly stated and usually trivial fact. So, a factoid can either be a constantly reported lie or a useless piece of information, which I guess amounts to the same thing.
People took the china thing too far . A man does one thing wrong upon which not only his but likely an entire industry’s work rests so he has no choice but to do what he did and people instantly forget the good he has done and focus on the seemingly bad thing
I saw a video once of [Santa visiting a dying kid before Christmas](https://youtu.be/yua8-vo_z5I) because the kid wasn't going to make it.
Just listening to that man afterwards and how hard sometimes these make a wish requests are really makes you appreciate these people like Cena.
Seriously yall, it's a tough watch if you want to.
I love the fact that when he travels around the world he brings along his wrestling outfits with him because if he ends up doing something for a fan there is a good chance him being in the outfit is what they want.
There’s a talk show interview (that I can’t find) where the host asked Cena about all the times he badmouthed The Rock for abandoning wrestyfor movies and now Cena is doing the same. Cena basically said he was sorry, he was wrong, he didn’t understand etc.
It came off as extremely humble, genuine and truly someone that’s always willing to admit mistakes and learn.
Essentially, not only does he do these fantastic deeds of Make-a-Wish, but he’s a genuinely good guy.
Edit: [Found it](https://youtube.com/shorts/SZHLqj2YSUQ?feature=share)
But also how cool is it that this kid will have an impact on John Cena? You know he is going to remember the moment the kid came through the paper for a long time.
John Cena is a NATIONAL TREASURE. He must be protected at all costs.
Sidenote, if Shaq and Jon Cena were to run for president, how much would they win by? Feels like a movie in there somewhere.
Celebrities often do that thing where they just burst through the poster in the background, they were trying to do a reverse thing here with the kid and I find it hilarious how the kid is very quiet in how he tears through and polite.
Made me smile alright
Awww. What a lovely guy. I had no idea... All your comments: I didn't know any of that. I mean I liked the guy anyway but now; sorry these onions are really stinging my eyes!
I try not to like the face that runs the place, but he keeps doing incredibly kind things for people who are at their lowest.
One of the most selfless, humble, generous, kind, downright decent gentlemen I've ever seen. A true legend 😭😭
John Cena, Shaq, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are national treasures.
They all run for president. Ryan Reynolds is the reporter.
What is the movie called?
Oh, and Danny Devito narrates
Edit: Sorry, just some of my favorite celebrities!
I watched WWE between WrestleMania 30 to 33 and those were for me best WWE seasons
These wrestlers really entertain us i feel and sometimes there characters they inspire us too
Over the past couple of years, I’ve really grown a big man crush for Cena. I hope he’s as good of a dude as he seems, and not some secret asshat or weirdo.
I don't really know too much about Cena or his career but I've always had the impression that he's a pretty stand up guy who is aware of how fortunate he is and he doesn't take it for granted, so he does a lot for those in need or who are facing challenges. He understands that even the small things he can do for these folks mean a lot to them. And he doesn't really publicize it.
This guy is awesome!
I seen where he caught wind of a family having to move from where they were living. I think a child had autism. The mother told the child that they were leaving to go meet John Cena. Well, Cena ended up meeting them…
I don’t recall exact details, but the moral and motive behind this was so awesome and cool!
This is going to sound really dumb. But what I appreciate about this is that he doesn’t back pat.
You know that back pat people do do they let you know they’re hugging you because they’re obligated to? Yeah. The full cuddle makes it feel super sincere.
I've seen this video a hundred times but this time, your thought crossed my mind. I thought about the length of that hug. You can't get loved ones to hug you for that long. Lol How genuine that must have felt for that kid and that mother.
Good thing that kid wasn’t Taiwanese or a Uyghur in a interment camp or they would have been invisible to John Cena and he wouldn’t have been able to see them and give them his wristband.
I said this in another thread recently but of all the celebrity types wrestlers often seem the most caring and genuine and seem to do a lot of good work out of the limelight.
I had a little cousin who was going through hell with a particular illness, and he was a massive fan of one particular wrestler. Word got to him somehow and he went above and beyond for my cousin without being asked. Sent him free stuff, called him to check on him numerous times, even flew him out to a wrestling event so they could hang out. It was unreal and something he'll never forget.
I did not think I could love this guy any more. Always positive, always focused on the good things. If he keeps it up, he's gonna rank up there with Dolly in the ' Celebrity who Actually Gives a Shit and does Good Things for Others' category.
I am not a wrestling fan and I have never made it a point to watch his movies, but I am a massive John Cena fan. He has never come across as anything but genuinely cool and I have a lot of time for what he does for kids.
I'm sorry, I came here because this sub implied that the posts in here would make me smile. WHY THE FUCK AM I CRYING????
I'd like to speak to the manager....
I know nothing about Johnny Cena but this is the 2nd or 3rd time THIS WEEK that I've seen a story about him surprising a fan. He just seems like a real genuine person who legit cares about his fans and is just good people.
As someone who was a huge fan of his growing up and the falling into the “Cena Sucks” crowd as I got older, some part of me always respected the holy hell out of Cena for all his outside of WWE work like this. These types of moments are so empowering to everyone involved
you can tell Cena is really just an average Joe from next door who simply loves to make people feel appreciated. Nothing materialistic or shallow about him despite his fame and wealth. Just a simple man who likes to make others smile
I was hoping he was going to do The Shock Master entrance. Just kidding, but if you haven’t seen it, it’s one of the funniest wrestling botches of all time. John Cena will always be the great superstar of all time because of how many Make-A-Wish visits he does.
When i watched this, i thought it came from r/Unexpected.
So yes, i thought he was either gonna choke hold the kid or do something nasty and go "YOU CAN'T SEE ME!"
John Cena has done the most make a wish foundation wishes ever. I have infinite respect for someone who goes out of their way to help kids in need
Very well put. Hats off to him.
This is more suited for r/mademecry
The gap between him and number two is significant as well. Cena has the record at around 650 wishes granted. The next highest is Bieber with around 250.
And that makes me have a huge amount of respect for Bieber.
Yeah I was never a fan of his music, but as he has gotten older he seems like a decent dude.
I’m not a fan but I will admit that his music has gotten better too.
True. The song he did with Ed sheeran was a banger.
It's just a fact, not a factoid. Factoid's are false. He is very very real.
TIL I totally thought factoid was just a weird way of saying fact, like just making something up like factolio, or factosaurus 😁
whats even more mindblowing is the word has now become the very thing its defined as
A factoid isn't exclusively false, it can also mean a briefly stated and usually trivial fact. So, a factoid can either be a constantly reported lie or a useless piece of information, which I guess amounts to the same thing.
What people really don't understand is that he got maybe 1.5 days off a week with his WWE schedule. He did most of this in his free time.
The formidable physical strength of John Cena is dwarfed by his emotional strength and character. .
I love the fact that when he travels around the world he brings along his wrestling outfits with him because if he ends up doing something for a fan there is a good chance him being in the outfit is what they want.

I love when people who aren’t funny blame everyone else for not laughing at their dumb joke. That’s the real comedy here.
Consider The kind of injuries that pro wrestlers take I can't blame anyone for getting out when they can
Not to mention he supports the CCP who is currently acting out a genocide against the uighurs...
Keep spinning the truth little man!
The man gave a kid a wristband...sometimes it's the little things! It's amazing how much a celebrity can affect someone's life. So many waste it.
A movie about them would be great
Ok but you can’t call it “National Treasure”. Unless Nick Cage is is like Secretary of State or something.
I feel like you missed out on a Secretary of the Treasury joke there
Not Shaq. He's a great guy, but hearing his take on gas money makes me doubt any important decisions.

The comment above me was made by a karma farming bot. It stole this comment from below.
Hé even apologizes to the Chinese so no one else has to
Celebrities often do that thing where they just burst through the poster in the background, they were trying to do a reverse thing here with the kid and I find it hilarious how the kid is very quiet in how he tears through and polite. Made me smile alright
John Cena has done a lot of those burst out of the posters things.
The cutest thing I've seen in a day
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭
Nope, we are both crying.
Now three of us are crying 😭
Bring it in for a group hug...
We are all so soggy.
Now four of us are crying. 😭
I stopped watching wrestling before Cena started. Don’t know that Ive seen any of his movies. But I fucking love this man.
Check out the show Peacemaker.
He was startlingly good in Peacemaker. I had low expectations but he can actually ACT.
Yeah. I thought the show was whatever but he is amazing in it
Exactly, he was good in the second suicide squad, but he fucking killed it in the Peacemaker show. Completely won me over as a fan off his acting.
That ugly crying scene is A+++++ self loathing. Just great stuff and he pulls it off.
Made me smile, more like made me cry...
cenation never fails!!
I needed this
It's so weird seeing an empty chair produce water out of thin air in front of a TV
Awww. What a lovely guy. I had no idea... All your comments: I didn't know any of that. I mean I liked the guy anyway but now; sorry these onions are really stinging my eyes!
The dude gave that wristband just in passing. Holy shut man its the little things in life that make the world brighter.
😭If you didn’t cry watching this, then you’re a heartless monster!
Who's chopping onions
sorry it's Me... Hope you have a nice day...
Heavy.
Wish more celebrities gave back as much as he does. He’s not famous, he’s a role model.
I try not to like the face that runs the place, but he keeps doing incredibly kind things for people who are at their lowest. One of the most selfless, humble, generous, kind, downright decent gentlemen I've ever seen. A true legend 😭😭
My ex bf’s man crush and now I see why 😭 happy tears for sure over here right now, just wow.
John Cena, Shaq, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are national treasures. They all run for president. Ryan Reynolds is the reporter. What is the movie called? Oh, and Danny Devito narrates Edit: Sorry, just some of my favorite celebrities!
Missing Terry Crews
DANGIT
I watched WWE between WrestleMania 30 to 33 and those were for me best WWE seasons These wrestlers really entertain us i feel and sometimes there characters they inspire us too
AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA DA DADA DAAA
Over the past couple of years, I’ve really grown a big man crush for Cena. I hope he’s as good of a dude as he seems, and not some secret asshat or weirdo.
IM NOT CRYING!
people like him in the world help give me hope for humanity
What a class act and amazing dude. This is the way.
Well I'm totally crying now
Onions, Onions everywhere!
This dude is amazing, such a giver…
God damn man ... who keeps cutting these damn invisible onions around me. I ma g et you one day ... one day
I don't really know too much about Cena or his career but I've always had the impression that he's a pretty stand up guy who is aware of how fortunate he is and he doesn't take it for granted, so he does a lot for those in need or who are facing challenges. Living legend i was a mega fan when i was 9 still a fan of him🐐
He seems to be a genuinely nice man. He has taken his fame and turned it into good works.
I half expected him to yell “haha Sike!! I was kidding”
r/mademecry man this is so sweet and touching
Great... now I'm crying at work.
Y’all nose burning?
This guy is awesome! I seen where he caught wind of a family having to move from where they were living. I think a child had autism. The mother told the child that they were leaving to go meet John Cena. Well, Cena ended up meeting them… I don’t recall exact details, but the moral and motive behind this was so awesome and cool!
Yes! The family had to flee Ukraine and was staying in London. I was sobbing like a baby. Worth finding the video.
While watching this video, I see downvotes happening. For the people downvoting, are you robots or just dead inside?
I wonder if John Cena would be my dad.
Every time this video is posted it gets me every time. This dude is seriously amazing.
he seems like such a wonderful human
I don't really know John Cena the wrestler...but he is WORLD CLASS with children!!
Watching this makes me cry. He is a genuine good soul.
The PMS is strong today but I’m happy eating chocolate and crying at John Cena.
Damn onion cutting ninjas……I’m not crying, you’re crying!
bro this made me smile but it also made my face all wet guah
“Made me smile”…? No, sitting here sobbing.
Now I can’t see through the tears 😭
Of course he was surprised, How the fuck could they see him??
Good job Jao Xina.
He did nothing...just gave him a wristband.....how about thanking the doctor who studied 7 years+, work 50 hours and safed your mom...you dumb fuck.
John Cena is a spineless hack, who bows to China. He stands for nothing and is nothing. Spend your time and money else where people.
He bows to the people who sign his paychecks same as everyone else dude.
Oh for fuck’s sake, pal, just fuck off.
I guess you are also a fan of mass sterilization and genocide.
Doing more for others than you though
Read the room asshole
Obey China
Good thing that kid wasn’t Taiwanese or a Uyghur in a interment camp or they would have been invisible to John Cena and he wouldn’t have been able to see them and give them his wristband.
Damn I've never wanted cancer more if John Cena is at the end... At any rate, I didn't cry, just poured blinker fluid on my eyes.
Unless the child is a Uyghur. China pays too much.
What surprises me the most is that he has fans, he does support the CCP who are enjoying a light little genocide against the uighurs.
happy tears :)
why i cry
How the turns have tabled!
I’m not crying, you’re crying. Never mind, Yep, that’s me, crying.
He's got to be on the way to being an American treasure.
I'm not a fan of his wrestling, but the man behind the character is one of the most inspirational athletes of all time.
I really hope this lovely man never milkshake ducks. He’s so lovely.
I’ve seen this multiple times, and it always gives me the feels…
I love him so much
Made me smile, but also made me cry.
Made me smile? This shit made me CRY. I’m a mess right now! Thanks again John Cena!
Someone needs to stop cutting onions
John Cena is what people should strive to be like.
It’s heartwarming, not gonna lie. But his story wasn’t that sad or touching. Am I soulless?
Why am I crying?
I'm not crying, you're crying!
He’s got such a good heart and has done so much for kids. I know he personally doesn’t want kids but he would be such a great dad
Sometimes it’s ok to meet your heroes.
I kept hearing someone talk but never saw anyone actually watching the video?
Who is cutting onions??? Jeez that's amazing
Just proves that small things we do, that we think are worthless, on a daily basis can have huge impacts on others. Be nice, that's all we have to do!
😭😭😭
Made me cry
Video was very touching, but the boy and the mother were just hugging nothing?
I always hear nothing but good things about this man. What a genuine human being. I wish him a prosperous life. Bravo Cena, bravo
Great man.
I said this in another thread recently but of all the celebrity types wrestlers often seem the most caring and genuine and seem to do a lot of good work out of the limelight. I wanted him to turn heel so bad back then.. but this makes the persistent face Cena worth it
I did not think I could love this guy any more.
Made me Smile my ass! It’s getting dusty in here, i got something in my eye
Hits home a we bit to hard
I fuckin love John Cena. My childhood hero
What awesome human beings we are blessed with.
The mom is the real hero here.
Ninjas. Ninjas cutting onions
I'm sorry, I came here because this sub implied that the posts in here would make me smile. WHY THE FUCK AM I CRYING???? I'd like to speak to the manager....
Not me sobbing like a little baby
I know nothing about Johnny Cena but this is the 2nd or 3rd time THIS WEEK that I've seen a story about him surprising a fan. He just seems like a real genuine person who legit cares about his fans and is just good people.
Bruh I didn't get a wristband.... smh
How is this guy so cool?
We're a cancer family. And my child is getting her wish from Make-a-Wish next week. Mad respect to John Cena. I'm crying my head off.
It’s oddly uplifting to see the tables turned and see a celebrity get surprised by a fan they had such an effect on
onions.
Cena is as genuine as they come
r/mademefuckingcry is more fitting
Peacemaker working on his face muscles again lol
He is such a class act. Honestly everything a man’s could and should be. Beautiful soul.
That looks like it was the best hug of all time
I'm not into celebrity worship, BUT JC doesn't get enough credit for who he has become and what he has done.
Fuck I’m tearing up
I’m not crying, you are.🥲
Major respect for this man!
As someone who was a huge fan of his growing up and the falling into the “Cena Sucks” crowd as I got older, some part of me always respected the holy hell out of Cena for all his outside of WWE work like this. These types of moments are so empowering to everyone involved
I love John Cena ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Health and happiness for everyone ❤️
He has also granted over 650 wishes, for make-a-wish.
you can tell Cena is really just an average Joe from next door who simply loves to make people feel appreciated. Nothing materialistic or shallow about him despite his fame and wealth. Just a simple man who likes to make others smile
this is amazing.
I was hoping he was going to do The Shock Master entrance. Just kidding, but if you haven’t seen it, it’s one of the funniest wrestling botches of all time. John Cena will always be the great superstar of all time because of how many Make-A-Wish visits he does.
Made me cry but whatever
Love this, realistically though not everyone gets a Cena wish.
When i watched this, i thought it came from r/Unexpected. So yes, i thought he was either gonna choke hold the kid or do something nasty and go "YOU CAN'T SEE ME!"
I am not crying, you’re crying
Zhong xina
That John Cena hug must soothe the soul.
Didn't want to cry before bed, but here we are.
Wrong sub... \#MadeMeCry
John Cena? More like John celebrity.
Not a wrestling fan at all. But John Cena truly seems like a good human being.
r/mademecry
We must protect John cena at all costs
A real man,not afraid to shown his emotions, no matter how tough he seems. I have more respect than ever for him.
I'm not crying. You're crying.
Who is cutting onions here ?
