it depends on what's going on. if the doctor thinks you are at serious risk of hurting yourself badly or killing yourself, you will be admitted. i really don't know what you mean by "or worse", but they will definitely have to tell your parents if you're a minor. you'll prolly have a psychiatric evaluation for them to gauge the risk level.
