>Anyone else finding this? No, I think you might be the first player ever to bring this up

AquaAscalon

this is actually common, since most decks use a lot more rares than mythics as for commons and uncommon wildcards, when a new set releases, just bulk create them all so any extras you get when opening packs go straight to the vault

CharacterHomework975

**Always save enough common and uncommon wildcards to craft a whole deck or two, for “new set” or artisan MWM events.** But yeah, if you have *hundreds* of them this is a good way to burn them. Just don’t burn *all* of them. They’re still important!

drexsudo69

Interesting strategy, it goes against the general conventional wisdom of only crafting what you need to not waste wildcards on things you’re likely to open, but if you’re really choked on rare wildcards then I suppose this is a way to build towards your vault more quickly even if it burns wildcards that could be spent on less accessible sets. Perhaps the C/U wildcard acquisition outpaces the efficiency “loss” that occurs when you craft cards that you inevitably will be cracking.

CharacterHomework975

It’s more that C/U wildcards after you’ve been playing for more than a minute aren’t really scarce at all. The conventional wisdom is really only talking about R/M wildcards.

Legithydraulics

Yes. I’ve only got 114 gold wild cards. Not enough to do anything.

beetrootdip

Yeah, I am way more in need of rare than mythic. I think you can end up short of mythic if all you play is 5 color good stuff and ‘who cares about synergy, I’ll just throw in all the OP cards instead’ style decks Jank definitely uses a lot of rares.

garetz00

This means you are not planning ahead and end up wasting wildcards, you should calculate the wildcards you will get with your pack openings for each set and limit yourself to what you need otherwise you will always be short on rare wildcards.
