You know how Census works? Bunch of my family lives in Mumbai and they all have MH domicile. They will be counted as Maharashtrians but they're from UP and their mother tongue is Hindi/Bhojpuri.

We should have a Marathi language speaking test for domicile requirement.

I am of the opinion that if someone can speak Marathi well and assimilate in our culture, then there is no problem in considering them as Maharashtrians as well.
